The Sweet smell of the desserts in the bakery. Every dessert you could possibly Think of is here. Strawberry cakes, Lemon meringue, apple pies, parfaits etc. The best bakery in the city is right here!

"Valerie! Can you be a dear and take the cookies out the oven!"

"Coming!"

Yeah that's me. My name is Valeraina. My closest friends call me Valerie or Val. I work here at this big bakery in the city of Paris to support myself. I love baking the most in this world. Before my mother died, her and I would bake desserts everyday and give them to my father to taste test. Now that she's gone we probably won't be able to do so, especially since father got remarried.

"Don't forget to decorate to cookies for order #376"

"Yes I know!"

That's my boss Marylynn. She was a big help to me during the hard times I had during my father's remarriage. I don't know what I would've done without her. She took in a random girl she found crying at a bus stop like it was nothing. She even let me stay in a room in the back of the bakery,so if she ever needs help in the future I'll do everything I possibly can to help her.

"Welcome to our bakery how can I help you?"

"Strawberry parfait please!"

"Coming right up!"

"Here you go! Enjoy the rest of your day ma'am!"

"Thank you so much!"

It makes me happy these people are smiling because of the desserts I make. They all look so excited just from eating the sweets here. I hope I'll have my own bakery like this one day.

"Hey, Exucuse me"

"oh hello si- sir?"

I don't know who this man is, obviously, but I've never seen such pretty ruby eyes. He looks like he has money too so what's so what's he doing in a cheap bakery like this. (Sorry Marylynn I didn't mean it!)

"Excuse me lady, hello??"

"Oh I'm so sorry! what can I get you?"

"Macaroons, chocolate cake, fruit filled cookies, and a cup of tea."

"Oh, that's a lot is it for your family?"

"..."

"Sorry! I'll prepare you're order right away! Have a seat by the window!"

He looked as if he was going to kill me and bury me in a desolate place if I kept talking! Me and my big mouth! I'm just going to bring him his order and walk away quickly.

"Here you go sir! Enjoy!"

Now let's get away from him. I can feel him staring into my soul!

"Wait"

"what can I do for you?"

" I need silverware"

"It's right next to you sir"

"Silverware."

"Okay, just a second sir!"

Such a petty person! Does he have a problem with me over such a harmless question?!

"Here you go sir."

"you may leave."

You may Leave my ***! Do I look like his maid?! Well it may seem that way because I serve him food, but if that's the case I'm a public maid. Not his subordinate! I should just hit him in the face! ...He has a pretty face though.. hmph! He's lucky I don't wanna ruin that pretty face of his!

he's leaving? Great!

"Here you go sir. You total is 47.62"

"I don't have cash take this card"

" Alright. One second please."

Even his card is gold?! I knew he was rich! I mean technically so am I, but that's a different situation!

"Your card sir. Have a lovely rest of your day!"

" Valerie! Would you be a sweetheart and take the orders of table 6 and 10?"

"yes of course!"

That baker girl... why do I feel as if she was glaring at me the entire time? Anyways I should go back there tomorrow? I like the desserts there. I wonder..If she made those.. should I ask next time? No, most definitely not!

"Young master! I finally found you! Where have you been?! You left the company when you had so much to do! Did you forget you have a business trip to attend!?!

"Your so noisy, Ray."

"But young master yo-"

"Ray!"

"Yes..."

"Head back To the company."

"Shouldn't you change first young mas- ah..I mean yes young master"

'God why do I work for such a violent young master!'

"President Qian! We've finished all preparations for your business trip in the US."

"Alright. Ray get me a change of clothes ASAP"

"yes right away"

'No get it yourself' is what I'd like to say. Especially when he's the one who changed to go out to eat sweets in the first place, but I still need my job so I won't say what I'd like to. God I pray for this man's future wife...
