Explosion

"It's amazing", I said, admiring and examining the large rock in front of me. I didn't think it would be this big.

" Yeah, it is"Anderson said, "I wouldn't be going too close to it if I were you".

" Why what's wrong?" Ken asked

"This thing is just any other meteor. A normal meteor shouldn't be as colourful as this is."

Anderson had a point. Even though I hadn't seen any other meteor before, I always imagined them to be very black. But this meteor was really colourful which was really weird.

"Hey guys.." Derek said, " Theres something like a hand carving in this thing".

"What, where?" We all rushed to where Derek was to check it out. Truly there was some sort of hand carved in the meteor. I looked liked those things from comics. Like a keyhole.

"No one touch it." Anderson continued.

I couldn't stop admiring the meteor. It was beautiful. And I felt some kind of connection with it. It was as if it was calling me.

"I guess we can leave now right?, I mean we've seen what we came here for". Kevin said.

" Yeah" They all said in agreement.

But I was I a different place. I wasn't listening to what they were saying. The attraction between the meteor and I became even stronger. I knew they were calling me but I couldn't hear a thing. I reached out my hands and touched the carving.

I suddenly felt a lot of energy flowing into my body. I felt good and bad all at the same time. My body just continued to absorb the energy.

My friends rushed to me to pull me hand away from the meteor. But the moment they touched me something like an explosion occurred. The force just blew us away from the meteor. I could feel myself fainting. I was losing consciousness. I closed my eyes and it felt really good. That was the last thing I remembered.

I forcefully opened my eyes and realized I was in the school dispensary. My friends were sitting by my bed waiting for me.

" He's awake" Ken said. The others rushed to check on me.

"W-what happened. Why am I here?". My whole body was hurting.

" This is not the place to talk about what happened. "Kevin said, " Get better and we'll talk about it."

All of this seemed unreal. We were all blasted by the explosion so how come they were here and unharmed.

"How long have I been asleep?". I asked

" Two months"

"Two months?" what exactly happened to me.

The impact the explosion had on me must have been severe. I really wanted to know what happened. But at they moment I had to recover from my injuries. They didn't seem to have got into any kind of trouble. But rather got some benefits.

"We'll come see you later. Rest for now".
