THE DEBUT INNINGS

He prepared himself for the upcoming ball. He tried to clear his mind and started to watch as the bowler started to perform his run-up.

He went deep in crease and tried to focus on the seam of ball. The ball was released by the bowlers it was a cross seam delivery. It will get uneven bounce the length will be shortish. He swinged the bat horizontally for a pull and tried keep the ball grounded. The ball went towards the mid-on fielder.

He completed his first run. " Atleast i won't be out for a duck now " he thought. The thought brought a little smile on his face.
