Harsh lesson

So hi,you're probably here to study about shy people or just because you want someone to relate to because you are shy.

First:2 important things not to say to shy people:

"You are so shy" Are you serious?Is this state the obvious?They know that they are shy,no need to remind them again.

But if you say that while meaning "You are so cute" I'll excuse you.

"Just talk more" Just talk more?J-Just??Do you know that they're minds go blank as soon as strangers or someone who they know but not really know talk to them?When they are alone with someone with that unbelievably awkward silence, they feel like dying. They think about all the sentences they could come up with but there's nothing.

Second:Comforting words to hear

"Let's do it together or I'll do it for you" Let's first talk about the second one,I understand..they are not your babies,but when they are in a complicated situation and they are hesitating to do it,it's comforting to hear them..

for lets do it together,it makes them feel important,they feel like you really want to do it with them,though it's not for everyone,I recommend you to try this one.

"I won't leave you,I'll be with you till the end" I feel like this is for everyone,but I meant this sentence when you are at a crowded place or somewhere they are unfamiliar with. They tend to get nervous and shy.

Being shy,it's hard to make friends freely

Like for example,at the first day of school,when everyone else is making friends,they would be quiet and silent and you may think they don't want to talk to anyone,but in truth,this is what is going inside their heads:

"Should I try talking to her?But what should I say?My name is..nonono should I just say hi what's your name?Ahh I don't know,I'll wait five more minutes and if she still doesn't talk to me I'll talk to her. How am I going to survive this year??"

So even if you make the first move and only talk to them for about 10 seconds and wait for them to talk back to you,I don't think it would work..Keep talking to them,even if they reply by short sentences,keep them thinking you want to be friends with them. This is a feeling they would feel at first:

Why does she keep talking to me?-When you talk to them.

Why isn't she talking to me,does she think I'm boring?-When you don't talk to them.

But the best option here is to keep talking to them,don't let them think the second one. You might be annoying,but tbh,you made a good impression,they are the ones who felt bad for no talking to you properly,they'll slowly open up so don't worry!
