The Last Participant Part-1

...[I enter the suite.]...

[And see Lucas Morgan - The Young CEO, who runs a global hotel chain, looking dazzling.]

"Hmm, participant no.26? Your face looks different in your profile." *While weird look on face*

"No, I'm not a participant. I'm the employee that got fired unfairly!" *in rude way*

"I came because I've something to say to you."

[But Lucas shakes his hand lazily, as if he is familiar with this kind of situation.]

"Talk to my secretary about that separately."

"Next!! No.26?"

"I thought you were drunk that night, so I was going to move on quietly. But I guess I've no choice."

"What does that mean?"

[I think about it,and end up...Dialing Lucas's personal number.Lucas narrows his eyes as the phone sitting on his desk starts to vibrate.]

" I'm the one who's calling right now."

" I'm calling the number you sent me few days ago! "

"Miss Aileen, I'm sorry, but only my family knows my personal line. I think they dialed the wrong number."

"My name is Ariel! And this is your number."

...[ I hang up and his phone goes silent.]...

...[ Lucas frowns]...

"Have we ever met personally?"

"Ofcourse. You were very very drunk that night."

"Ahh I'm sorry, but I haven't been personally involved with a woman since I started my business."

"I'm sure you haven't... until a few days ago."

"That's not..."

[Then , someone knocks and opens the door.]

...[It was Eiden]...

"Excuse me, participant no.26 is waiting for an interview. If this situation isn't urgent,I believe it would be better to postpone it."

"But this woman.... she's brought something to my attention..."

[Lucas looks at his watch and scrunches his eyebrows together.]

"Haa, you're right. We're running out of time.Please take care of it as usual."

"Yes, I'll take care of it myself. Guards?"

[Eiden turns around and looks behind him.I can hear several footsteps outside the suite.I panic, thinking about the inevitable Fate of me being dragged away by the huge bodyguards heading my way.]

*No way, if I leave like this, I'll never have a chance to talk to Lucas again!* I thought

[I shouted at Lucas, You're my sex scandal partner!! ]

[Lucas stands still for a while and continues.]

"Sex scandal.... You say?"

"I helped you put your clothes back on when you were drunk by the pool. I think cleaners who saw the scene thought differently."

"You're saying it's me?"

"I KNOW it was you!And thanks to that, your secretary, Eiden, is firing me!"

[Lucas processes this for a moment then sighs, covering his eyes with his hand.Eiden quietly picks up the walkie-talkie and calls for the bodyguards again.]

"Something urgent has come up. False alarm. You can resume your shift."

"No, no, it's okay' I'll get back to you if something happens."

[After a moment of breathtaking silence💀, Lucas talks in a tired voice.]

"Just to check...Did anything really happened between you and me that day?🙄"

"Umm.... something did happen. You forcefully got my number without my consent😒."

"Also, I think you hugged me or something🤔?"

[Lucas's face turns pale😰.]

"I usually don't remember anything after I drink. If anything happened, then I'm sure it was 100% my fault.😶"

[Lucas's expression softens beyond comparison😇. He soon turns to point the finger at Eiden.]

"Eiden, I think it's your turn to explain."

"I didn't know you were the drunk guest that day. I was just doing things by the book...😐"

"Do you admit that you may have made a mistake too?"
