Just a promise

Finally I found it. I closed the drawer and was leaving suddenly I felt someone holding my wrist, the album dropped from my hand.

'Jade you are dead now' my mind screamed.

I was stunned and didn't dare to turn. After being in fear for a minute when nothing happened I turned to see. He was still sleeping.

'Oh f***. I got so scared'.....i removed my hand from his grip and walked back to the balcony....

"we did it. Wow!! I may try to be a spy in future" Zoey said happily.

"Well you did nothing here" Peter mocked her.

"Shut up Pete, team work is important for robbery" Zoey replied

"Yea as if you go around stealing everyday right" I said

Zoey made a weird face.

Peter and I started laughing.

"I will give you both treat tomorrow for helping me" I said

"Okay let's go" Peter said.

||Next day- AT SCHOOL||

"We will be going camping in the coming week." the teacher said

All the students were really happy. We can finally get a break from school.

"Jade let's go shopping today" Zoey said.

"yea let's buy new dresses for camping" I said

"Yea...after school" she said with shining eyes.

We love shopping. You know every girl does.

Me and Jade were at the basketball court. We were here to watch Peter play basketball.

Me and Zoey were cheering for Peter.

I saw the devil was looking at me every time he put the ball in the basket. He was the captain of the basketball team.

Why does he look at me, shouldn't he look at his clingy girlfriend who is sitting on the other side. I tell you she's such a show off.

Finally after an hour the match ended

They won the match.

We were going near Peter to congratulate him.As we were going Tia that devil's girlfriend bumped into me making me fall.

"Oh am sorry Jade I didn't see you" she said with fake innocence.

I know she did it purposely.what is her damn problem.

Zoey pushed her "oh am sorry Tia. I didn't see you" she mimicked her.

I tried to stand but couldn't. I got a bruise on my leg and it damn hurt. Zoe helped me to stand. I was walking with her help.

Suddenly I was picked in the air. I thought it was Peter but it was the devil himself.

"Put me down I can walk" I said annoyed.

But he didn't stop nor reply.

Zoey and Peter were coming behind us.

"Don't follow. I won't eat your friend" he said in a cold voice.

I got angry and said again " Put me down. I don't need your help"

"Shut up or i will throw you down" he said and started walking.

I kept quiet. We reached the school's infirmary.

He placed me on the bed. I looked around and the doctor was not here.

He bought the first aid kit. He was going to clean the bruise.

"I can do it myself" I said and snatched the medicine from his hand.

"I am just keeping my promise that I made to your dad" he said and took the medicine back from me.

My dad is just too much. He thinks I am a small kid and can't take care of myself. He even asked this Nut head to take care of me.

He ignored me and started applying the antiseptic......I flinched and held his hand when he dabbed the cotton on my wound.

He looked at his hand where I held him. I immediately withdrew my hand.

After cleaning the wound he walked me to the class.

All the girls were staring at him with awwww..... What is so good about him, just a handsome face..🙄🙄

Zoey came running to me and asked "Are you okay?? Did he say something??"

"No he just helped me with the bruise". I said

"Oh!! strange how come Mr. Devil turned soft suddenly" she said

She was right he rarely shows this side of him to me.
