Lorenzo's POV

All they had to do was to ship those drugs to Italy for my gang to distribute and in exchange I would send them boxes full of guns, pistols, shotguns and ammo. Such a simple deal completely lost it's track just because of that cunning Scott, who dared to challenge me. Just wait and watch how I ruin those orange hairy Scott's.

Fu€k. I won't fu€king let them get away. Those b@stard family of Scott's. I swear they will pay the price of stabbing my brother. Those treacherous idiots, they stole our billion dollars drug shipment. From the beginning I shouldn't have finalised this deal.

With a jerk, our driver pushed the accelerator and we continued speeding to the first hospital we could find. It was pitch dark and the car's foxlights were focused on the road. One could hardly find a private hospital at 4:00 Am. As far as the government hospitals are concerned, they just have too many unnecessary issues.

"Luca! breath..breath..we are almost there."

I said to my younger brother, who's injured head laid on my lap. He was breathing heavily. No matter how much I tried to make him stay awake, his brown eyes were shutting themselves down.

Using a thick cloth I kept pressing his shoulder area which was bleeding continuesly. The blood was gushing out and I kept patting his cheeks in order to make him stay conscious till the time we reach a hospital. I know luca is a strong boy. This is not his first encounter with a knife but somehow I am afraid.

I have already lost so much in these past 20 years. I can't bear to lose him too.

This stupid fellow. I warned him not to get involved with the Scott's but he didn't listen. After all he is my brother. We both share the same blood, same stubbornness and this same attitude. When my gang came to find out that those bloody Scott's had stolen half of our drug packages, we planned to shoot them in night.

To tackle them, my brother, he foolishly made his own plan with his bodyguards. Without letting me know about his whereabouts, he kept his team busy in tracking the hidden basement of the Scott's. In no time those bloody Scott's located him and stabbed him right on the chest. For god's sake, I reached there and saved him on time otherwise anything could have happened.

"Move out of my fu€king way! move!"

I screemed while opening the door of my car. The nurses quickly dragged a stretcher with them but I knew I couldn't afford to waste even a single second so I lifted my brother in my arms and dashed inside the hospital.

"Doctor!? Doctor!? " I roared like a madman. Suddenly, a doctor came running towards me. She had the most beautiful face I had ever seen. At that moment, I felt this sweet sensation one gets from taking a bite out of a freshly picked apple.

This strange emotion, I have never felt it before. Her voice striked a ray of calmness in my troubled heart. For some reason, I was captivated by her.

"Sir...please don't shout.. there are other patient's as well. Please hand him over to the nurses. I am surgeon..I will operate on..."

Before she could speak any further, I put my gun on her temple and shouted at her " I don't care who the fu€k you are. Just save him. Save my brother! or I will shoot a hole right in your head."

Under my gun, she trembled like a leaf. Her body shivered in horror. A minute ago, her face which was glowing now became pale and terrified.

Ray's POV

I know. I know it very well that being a doctor is not easy. On top of that I am a surgeon operating in an emergency department both day and night. It has many downfalls but that doesn't stop me from fulfilling my job as a doctor. Number one, these weekends especially saturday nights when drunk people yell and abuse the medical staff.

Yes, sometimes they even flirt with me or catcall some of my female colleagues but that doesn't mean I will stop saving their lives. I simply love the thrill of my job, not knowing who or what is about to enter in my operation theatre. Each hour, new set of challenges awaits me. After all this is what I studied for. No.. this is what I am born for.

I was busy pondering over this tiring night shift which I just finished. From mild to severe injuries, heart attacks, strokes, failures, accidents. I mastered all of it. Fixing tommorrow 's schedule, I glanced at the digital clock which stood on my table. It was 2:00 Am already but I still had to stich the wounds of some of my patients. Guess I will be late to go home today as well.

I quickly took out my smartphone and texted Eric that I won't be coming to his apartment today. Eric..he is my boyfriend. I want to hug him so badly but I can't. I promised to go on a date with him today but working in an emergency ward, everything gets jumbled up.

My meals, my sleep everything gets messed up. Sometimes, this weird time difference makes me go crazy but Eric isn't bothered by any of it. He loves me for who I am and I love him too. I know he will be angry tommorrow but he can't resist my cute pleading tricks.

He is the best person I have ever met and he treats me like a princess. The thought of getting engaged to him next month makes my heart pound with butterflies. Gosh..I miss him.

As I completed packing up my things I heard a loud shout coming from the front desk. I soon realised that all the doctors must have gone home as It was 4:00 Am and I was the only surgeon left in this entire hospital. Wearing my doctor's coat, I ran to the ground floor.

A man, completely dressed in black stood there holding a person in his arms. His eyes were raging fire as he kept calling for a doctor. I tried talking with him but he stopped me in middle and in a blink of eye, pressed a gun on my head.

Pulling the trigger, he shouted at me that If I didn't save his brother, he would surely shoot me. My mind went blank and each cell of my body froze for a minute. In fear, I shaked violently but I had to calm down.

Dithering, I told him" Sir.. ple..please.. you are wasting your br..brother's time. Re..remove the gun and let me operate..Please."

Immediately he withdrawed the gun and I ran inside the operation theatre while the nurses laid his brother on the ICU bed.
