Soon as Dante exits the building, someone bumped into him and fell down. A skinny kid wearing a robe with freckles on his face can be seen on the ground, hurriedly dusting off his clothes and the box he was carrying.
He's starting to wonder when was this kid had a proper meal due to how frail his body is. Normally, if you do your work as a servant of this place, you would get a ration of food twice a day, and the portions are also not a problem. So there shouldnt be cases where one would starve if they just do their work, Unless, that person might have done something wrong to recieve this kind of treatment.
Another thing that caught his attention is not or what he was firmly holding into his chest which is probabbly some food, to where he got it is not his problem anymore. But rather by the kid's face that reeks of fear and nervousness.
Which openly tells that this kid might have stolen the food he is now carrying.
"A-Ah... Im s-sorry mister".
And just that, the kid quickly left with tick tacks sound on the wooden floor, leaving dirt trails.
Ahh...that troublesome kid...
Now someone has to clean that mess. Its obviously not me, since im done with that kind of assignment the other day. Dante thought.
Dante continued walking to his destination, but from a few distance away he could already hear some noises. A bit curious, he fasten his pace. When Dante arrives, He was surprised to see a crowd of people making a scene.
It's still 5 in the morning. I was suppose to train here, So what could possibly cause this? , much less, Early in the Morning?? Dante wondered as he stares at the crowd, speechless.
More people started running to the crowd's direction as if something would be missed if they weren't in a hurry.
What the hell? Am i the only one who doesnt know what's happening here??. Dante thought this was insane.
Then a guy brushed him off his side and made him stumble a bit. "WHo–".
"Ah sorry!"
When Dante saw that person's face, he immediately recognize that person. It was Armando. Wearing a light servant's clothes and has a long blond hair tied up into a pony tail.
Likewise, Armando then soon recognized him.
"Oy SleepyHead! Hurry up or you'll miss this chance!"
Without further explaination, Armando continued rushing at the scene.
What the...
What chance? this is insane. Can someone explain what's going on??.
Its like responsing to his thoughts, A man's voice echoed from the center of the crowd.
"PEANUTS! PEANUTS! WHO WANTS MORE PEANUTS!."
Followed by the sound of eager buyers from the crowd:
"Me! Give me F-Five!"
"Hey! stop pushing!"
"I was here first! I will buy TEN!"
When Dante heard this, he was dumbfounded.
What kind of damn 'magical' peanuts would cause this much ruckus early in the morning?
Then Dante saw Armando at the crowd, took something out from his pockets then proudly lifting up a pendant in the air. It symbolize his status as the Head Servant.
But trying to take advantage of his position didn't go as planned, as others were too focused on buying, than his puny display, so he was ignored, pushed aside, and been trampled on the ground, helplessly depressed.
That fool... Dante thought while witnessing Armando's awkward display.
Dante couldn't contain his curiosity any longer and after he finally made his decision, he rushed through the crowd. By luck, he managed to squirm his way until he reached at the front.
There he saw a display of buckets of what seems to be an ordinary peanuts.
Dante took one peanut and examins it closely, ignoring the ruckus behind him.
What's so special about this? The more he looks into it, the more confused he becomes. Because no matter how he looks at it, It's just nothing but a simple-ordinary peanut.
But seeing how these people are going crazy for these peanuts, this must be something good.
Did this guy put some sort of magic spell to these people around me, to make them believe that this is some sort of magical peanuts?.
In the middle of Dante's thoughts, a soft young man's voice sounded straight into him.
"Hey. That would be 10 points each."
"What?"
