Seduce the virgin

It is just a typical night, just like any other night when people usually retire after working hard the whole day, relaxing, finding peace in between their turbulent day to day life.

Or is it not?

The faint sound of the passing cars is the only sound that obliterates the tranquility of the night, the tranquility which conceals the chaos of people's mind behind it. The blinding lights of the city prevailing the darkness of night can't seem to unveil the darkness of one's heart. The night isn't as silent as it looks, it hides mysteries behind it. It masks the screams of one's inner beast, covering the ugliness of the harsh reality under its serene moonlit beauty. It's the time when cruel intentions come into action, it's the time when the devil hunts its prey........

A cold drop of sweat drips down the woman's face as she clenches her fists to calm her throbbing nerves. Her body shivers with fear yet her face is hot, flushed with embarrassment. She has done something she shouldn't have. Yet it didn't feel wrong. Why should she feel guilty for having an affair with her brother-in-law when she truly loved him instead of her husband?

But no matter how much she loves him, how much their affair felt right, a sin is a sin. Her heart knew it, so she can't bring herself to utter a single syllable.

"How amusing!!" Her husband stood in front of her, letting out a peal of mock laughter. "I come to know about my wife's affair with my own BROTHER from some stranger. Stranger??" His eyes look like they're about to bulge out of their sockets, madness dancing in his face.

"Ple...please calm down......for heaven's sake Jake. Our neighbors will wake up if you keep on shouting like that," she tries to convince her husband Jake who has drunk to the point that he has lost his sanity.

"Heaven?" he laughs hysterically, "that sounds rich coming from your mouth. You want me to keep quiet for heaven's sake? When you have made my life nothing but a living hell?" he smashes the bottle of whisky on the table making it shatter into numerous pieces. "And neighbors? Since when did you care about neighbors? Are you feeling ashamed now?" he slowly stalks towards her, the neck of the broken whiskey bottle clutched in his hand.

"Don... don't you dare take a step forward," she grabs a knife from the table hastily, but it doesn't stop him from moving ahead in her direction. Her heart drops down at the sight of the broken whisky bottle dangling recklessly between his shivering fingers.

"Jake we can talk this out. Just stop right now, you're not thinking straight," Jake's brother standing near Nora, Jake's wife, speaks. He is regretting his actions now, he shouldn't have fooled around with his sister-in-law. But it really felt right when he spent his time with her. He actually never wanted any of this. It just happened in the moment of a whim.

"Stay the hell out of my family matters!!" Jake rants in rage but he realizes something suddenly, "If it's a family anymore." His eyes are red with pain, hurt, anger, betrayal, and a myriad of unspoken emotions. The two persons standing in front of him were the ones he treasured the most.

"I'm gonna end it all today. I'm gonna destroy the root of my sufferings today. I'm gonna kill you!!" he mumbles incoherently like a lunatic. Jake's brother, with great panic, tries to grab him but Jake shoves him away. "Go to hell, you bastard".

Jake then outstretches the jagged end of the whisky bottle near Nora's chest and chokes her neck with his other hand. He is blinded by wrath, his mind can only think of revenge. No matter how cruel will be the aftermath of his actions, it feels right to vent out his anger.

On the other hand, Nora coughs and writhes under his death lock "No..n....hnng....

"I will not forgive you, Nora. I dedicated my life to you.....did everything I could to make you happy and you treat me like this? Sleeping with my brother behind my back??" His voice breaks with pain, "you deserve to die. A heartless woman like you shouldn't live on this earth," and with that said, he swings his bottle to stab her but before he can do anything, breath suddenly knocks out of his lungs.

The bottle falls from his hand, making a tinkling sound as it rolls down the floor. But the sound of the bottle isn't the only sound that is audible inside the room, Nora can hear her heart drumming out of her chest as well. Blood spurts out everywhere and some drops land on her cheek. She wipes the thick, hot liquid drops with her fingers and watches them in shock. Red...... red, red is the only color she can see. What about red? Whose red?

Her eyes widen with horror as Jake touches the warm blood oozing out from his chest. She can't believe what is happening in front of her eyes, she can't believe that she just stabbed her husband.

Her body collapses on the floor with a thud, near her husband fighting his last breath. Jake's brother crawls towards her, "Jesus, Nora............ " rest of his voice fades because Nora can't hear anything besides her heartbeat. Lub dup, lub dup....... the sound of heart reminding her of the grave crime she has committed just now. She breaks out from the stupor when Jake's bloody trembling hand finds her own shivering one. She takes hold of his hand immediately.

"Jake.....no....no no no no....... you can't die..... please hold on... You can kill me or torture me all you want but... But please don't die..."

"Nora... I loved you..." Jake manages to speak the words before he finally gives up on his miserable life. To him, death seems a better choice than living at this point.

Nora covers her mouth in pain and shock, her mind can't comprehend anything anymore. This is too much for her to take. Only Jake's grim voice rings in her ears.... he said he loved her...not love.... "what have I done?" she whispers to herself...............................................................................................

The scene suddenly fades away in grey mists, leaving only darkness behind it.

"Lilith, do you think that Nora actually wanted to kill her husband?" a deep voice asks with a hint of amusement in it. Lilith shrugs nonchalantly. She has been sitting beside her boss, watching the whole episode of the tragic story with him.

"And do you think she wanted to cheat him?" he asks again, his smirk hanging thick in the dark surrounding.

Lilith smiles seductively, "Who knows? Is there anyone born in this world to be able to predict your games?" she replies, stroking his cheek fondly. Her answer earns a chuckle from her boss.

"I like it when you say things like that. You know, Nora wasn't the one who killed Jake. She wasn't the one who cheated on her husband either. Everything going on till now is all part of my game and all those characters are my pawns. I am the one who pulls the strings and I'm the one to call the shots. They aren't doing things on their own, they are just puppets, my slaves." While her boss explains to her about his little game, Lilith tilts her head to admire him from every possible direction. She can never get enough of admiring him, she is infatuated beyond the limit.

"People are evil and that's why they do such things," she remarks.

"Evil isn't the thing that you get to learn somewhere neither it's the thing you can develop out of nowhere. Evil is man's most primal instinct, it just depends on the choices he makes. It is embossed inside the deepest recesses of their soul, like a ravenous beast waiting to be unleashed. People just live in denial for their entire life, some refute it strongly whereas some embrace their reality. No one is free from it as it arises from one's desire. They are not sinners, they are copycats. They imitate me, they do what I want them to do." He goes on describing, playing with her curly black locks.

"So, you see, I basically own the whole world. I'm their master, yet...." He trails, his voice growing hoarse with spite.

"Yet?" Lilith questions, tracing his creased brow with her index finger.

"Yet something is holding me back from establishing my supreme control over the world. I can feel it yet I cannot point it out. It's like an itch in the body that irritates you constantly but you cannot reach it. Have you searched for it? Did you find what is it exactly?"

"Yes I have," lilith grimaces.

"What is it?" his eyes flared with excitement.

"It's a girl actually and I was quite surprised after I came to know some stuff about this insignificant little human."

Her boss's interest is piqued now, she can tell by the slight raise of his eyebrow, "And what would that stuff be?" he asks.

"The girl isn't what I expected her to be. She is anything but a normal girl that is to say. She seems like an ordinary human yet there is something supernatural about her. And the fact that shocked me the most is that she has never sinned in her entire life. She is as pure as a newborn baby....her sins are null..." Lilith stares intently at her boss in an attempt to gauge his reaction.

Her boss's distressed expressions ease a little after knowing about the cause of his problems. "Hmm, so you are saying that there is a girl down there who isn't under my control?"

"Yes, she is the reason why you haven't been able to become the sole ruler of this world,"

"And why am I coming to know about her now?"

Lilith gets a little flustered, "There was some spell that had been hiding her from your eyes till now. But it seems like it withered off after she turned 18. Her powers are starting to show up now."

"Is it like that?" his lips curved into a cynical smirk. "Looks like I know who can clear my doubts about this special little girl."

With the blink of an eye, Lilith finds herself standing in a completely different place. The place is nothing like her boss's realm, awkwardly calm, and comforting. The serene, eye-soothing scenery making one's heart flutter with joy, the enchanting sweet smell in the air, and the melodious, light music of harp playing with cord strings of one's mind, is making her choke with suffocation. She finds a man standing in front of a giant celestial tree with silver leaves, a man so beautiful that she can even compare him with her boss. His heavenly form exudes an aura so bright, it is too much for her to stand. Her eyes narrow down to slits with hatred, she knows this man very well.

The man turns around, as if he already anticipated the arrival of his guests, "welcome back brother." His face is stoic but his voice holds the gravity of the situation.

"It's been long brother," Lilith's boss greets the man with a mocking tone, not returning the slight bow of the man standing in front of him.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

"You always know what I want, don't you?" Lilith's boss smirks again. "I'll come to the point since you already guessed it. So, I came to know about this special little girl today. The type of girl we get to see in fairytales, you know. A poor little, beautiful princess, blossoming like a delicate flower, shining like a pure ray of sunlight......" huge thorny black vines start to creep of his body slowly. "......hiding away from the evils of the world....."

"And why are you telling me about her?" the man asks skeptically. He knows that his brother is just here to confirm his doubts, to challenge him. The black vines crawl their way up to his body, stealthily.

"Because I know you won't lie or better say, you can't lie? Huh, brother?" the black vine around his brother's body tightens a little as he teases his brother with his smug smile.

A deep sigh escapes from the otherwordly man, "You can't do anything to her even if you want to. She's my daughter, her soul is divine and she has Lord's blessings protecting her from all the possible evils," he speaks valiantly, not letting the treacherous vines crawling up his skin, waver his demeanor.

"Oh! is it?" Lilith's boss's eyes turn completely black, empty as a halo. "Aren't you too confident dear brother? Shall I consider it as a sin? I don't know but your confidence is giving me all the more reasons to prove you wrong," he hisses in annoyance while his thorny vines stretch out like a cobra to pierce the prey captured in their trap. But before they can cause any harm, blue flames burn them out of nowhere making them dissipate in the air. He tilts his head to take a look at the person who dared to oppose him.

"I should've already known that it was you, Michael. Still uptight as ever, huh?" the boss addresses the other man who is now advancing in their direction.

"Lord has given me the power to protect the righteous and destroy all the sinister entities. I'm just doing my job," Michael justifies his action whereas Lilith's snort resonates in the surrounding.

The tranquil surrounding tremors because of the boss's laughter resonating in the air, "Who do you mean by 'protecting the righteous'? Those pathetic yet vicious little sapiens? The ones who dance at my fingertips?" his tone is taunting as he challenges Michael. It has always been his hobby to drive his opponent to the edge.

"Humans aren't vicious. It's you who sows the seed of poison in their hearts and corrupt them. They are actually born pure and virtuous and not the heartless beasts you make them." Michael stands still on his grounds, his will impossible to waver.

Lilith peeks at her boss as her boss simply rakes his hand in his dark ravenous tresses, his smile malicious enough to kill a person. "Evil comes from your desires, Michael. You can't be a human if you don't desire." Michael stays silent at that. He knows it's wise not to argue with Satan himself.

"Anyway, back to our discussion, brother," the boss turns around to smile at his brother, "How come you have an illegitimate child on earth and I don't know about it yet? I thought you guys can't reproduce?" he questions, enjoying teasing his brother to his heart's content.

"Don't tell him anything Gabriel," Michael warns his companion. Lilith tries to attack Michael but her boss holds her back by her waist.

"Don't worry Michael, she is not as weak as you think. I know she won't be deceived by his ominous tricks. Let him try or he won't sit silently..." Gabriel still retains his composure, indifferent to his brother's taunting.

"We'll see that brother," and with that Lilith and her boss teleport to yet another different place finding another man in front of them. Her eyes glimmer the moment she recognizes his face and with a smirk, she slithers her way out of her boss's arms, smoothly.

"Hey there Lilith, long time no see," he greets her by opening his arm for her to sneak in, locking his lips with her.

"I have been occupied lately," she gives him a suggestive look.

"I've got work for you." Lilith's master interrupts their reunion. He has more pressing matters to attend to right now.

"So, you need me again huh? I wonder what would become of you without me."

"Hmm, let's see. What about the lord of the dark universe, hot and handsome as ever?" Lilith's boss suggests with his signature cockiness etched across his face.

The man almost rolled his eye at that statement. "What's it? What do you want?" he obviously looks uninterested.

"It's a she" Lilith's boss answers straightforward for he isn't the man to beat around the bush.

"She?" the man finally shows some interest in the otherwise boring chat. "Hmm....what's her name?"

"Her name is Maeve Colette Grace," Lilith replies on her boss's behalf.

"Is she a ******?"

"There......, you are finally coming to the business." Lilith's boss's lips curve into the widest grin possible.
