First Day - College

Sunset college, a pristine place that I worked very hard to get into. Helping out at the orfanage at a young age until now had paid off. Yes indeed, I am an orphan. No parents, not even a last name. It’s just Samantha.

“Samantha!” - Yells Lizzy.

Lizzy’s my best friend, her parents looked after me until I had to go to the orphanage. They may have told me it was because I was discarded. But as a child I didn’t know what that meant. They were a wealthy family, but they weren’t rich.

“Lizzy, we’re here together at last!” I spoke. “It feels great to get away from my parents until break, they can be very annoying. Especially when they try to arrange a marriage for me. You know?” - Lizzy. “Y- yeah.” I stutter. “But really what dorm room are you in? I’m in 152 B.” - Lizzy. “ I’m in 245 A.” I said. “What a shame, I would of loved to of roomed with you. Welp, better luck next time.” - Lizzy

She dances off with a sweet smile on her face. She waves and I turn away. I’m rooming with someone other than Lizzy?

I find my dorm room and knock. No one answers. Could I be the only individual that stays here? I open the door and walk in. There’s a single bed, so it should be for me.

I put my luggage against the bed and looked out the open window. The smell of the fall air was calming. The sparking night sky was fascinating. I could touch the stars.

“Who let you in here?” - ? (Man)

I turned around shocked. I thought I was the only one in the room.
