The stranger

Lucas stood next to Alice " I have to ask you for one more thing.. I know, I'm getting a little annoying, but this is my charm " he leaned a little and looked at her " Can I stay here for a while..? " Alice looked at him " ..Hah.. Well do I have to agree? I don't want to be rude, but I have saved a totally stranger from 2 men from the military. And the stranger wants to stay here, in my home..? I have helped you, without knowing what crime you have done! " It was too much for her, a lot of things happened today and it's a hard for her to assimilate everything what just happened. " Everything happened too fast... " she whispered and looked down. " Sorry " he said " But.. " he closed his eyes and sat next to her " Excuse me, but do I have to have committed a crime to be wanted by the military? " Lucas looked at her as he raised an eyebrow. Alice looked back at him as she almost couldn't believe that he is asking this " You've got to be kidding me, right? Of course you have! Otherwise, why do the military want to capture you? " Lucas gently poked her forehead " Hm, just for fun? " he smiled. She frowned a little " It's not the right time for joking around. " she said and looked away. He sighed " Okay, okay, okay.. Just don't be mad at me. " he laid on her bed " So.. about my question.. " Alice got up " You said that you will leave if I tell you to, but I don't really think that you will do this " she crossed her arms under her chest and looked at him. Lucas giggled " Yes~ " he closed his right eye and looked at her with his opened eye " You're not as stupid as I thought you were " Alice puffed out her cheeks " Hey! At least you shouldn't be rude when you are staying here in my home! " He smiled happily and sat up " So, you agree with my request, m'lady? " she slightly rolled her eyes " Yes, and please don't call me like that.. " she said and walked to the door as she looked back at the man in her room " Are you..hungry? ". For a strange reason she felt embarrassed and looked away to hide the pink blush on her cheeks. Lucas noticed that and smiled " A little bit.. " he closed his eyes and sighed quietly. Alice nodded and walked out of the room. When she closed the door of her room, she leaned against it and put her hands on her face as she tried to calm herself down ' I can't believe it! I'm feeling shy because of one stranger! '. Soon her blush disappeared and she walked to the kitchen through a hallway with a loads of paintings and pictures which are arranged in a row next to each other. Every painting was different and it had its own style and topic. There were pictures of her family. Some of them was with her and her two younger male siblings, others are with her parents.

While waiting for Alice to come back, Lucas walked slowly around her room. One picture on her nightstand caught his attention. He quietly walked to the nightstand and picked up the picture " Hm... " he sighed quietly and put it back on its place. ' Her family, perhaps. ' The male sat on her bed, again, and looked at the window which was next to her bed. " Family... " he whispered while a sad expression appeared on his face.

Alice knocked on the door " It's me. ". Soon the door have opened and two little boys jumped in her arms " S-sister! " they both said at the same time. " Everything is alright now " she cuddled them and kissed their foreheads. The little twins gripped onto her shirt and sobbed quietly. Alice kept them in her arms for a little bit longer and walked in their room to put them to sleep.

Lucas was sitting on the edge of the bed, thoughtful. He ran his fingers through his sky-blue hair and looked at the black night sky. He looked at the medals on his uniform and then looked at his wounds " Hah .. Such an irony ". After some time Alice quietly walked back in her room, she carried food and a first aid kit for his wounds. She slightly tilted her head and looked at him as her snow wite hair slid slowly over her shoulders " Is everything okay? ". Her blue eyes scanned his face when he looked at her " Yeah, I think. " he said quietly and watched her coming closer to him. Lucas looked at the first aid kit " No need, I'm fine. " he looked away. She sighed and put the food on her nightstand " No you aren't. " she said when she sat next to him with the first aid kit in her lap. Alice frowned a little and looked at him " Wait... don't tell me that you..- " she smiled " No. " he replied " I'm not. ". She giggled " What? You didn't even know what I was going to say and you already declined... You are scared of this, don't you? " she pointed the first aid kid in her lap " This don't bite. " she smiled" Now please let me take care of you. ". Lucas kept quiet and let her to take care of his wounds.
