The Duke House Of Villains
Jasmine was a very simple person she lived a relatively average American life not too rich and her family a bit too poor to be considered average. Her family also being bigger than average households. Her family wasn't exactly normal either. She swore that her family members had at least one mental illness. She shared a school life with two of her sisters. It was filled with one dramatic fight after another. Her school was filled with a bunch of troubled delinquents even so their academics was never the problem. Her family was smart and when it came down to fighting they had each other backs. Her family was probably filled with the smartest dumb people.
She had a few friends who liked the same things she liked, she barely touched social media platforms if it didn't deal with anime or manga. She and her older sister have the same hobbies. And when a story is a bit too good the rest of the house would be told the plotline despite their disinterest.
...-------...
My eyes stung as I crawled towards my coughing sister grabbing her wrist to pull her with me.
"where is Mat?"
My eyes scanned the room barely able to see through the smoke of the growing flame burning my eyes.
"H-he is asleep but he should be awake because of this."
She spoke through coughs as they continued to find an exit failing awfully.
"People sleep through fires."
My response only got an eye roll from the younger girl as she patted away the flames that attached to her sleeping pants.
"I should have stayed asleep then."
All exit ways are blocked off and it's getting harder to breathe the joking only made the situation a bit more bearable but it wasn't completely painless. the flames burnt some of our flesh, and the smoke started feeling our lungs at a faster past scorching them. For me and my sister to hold back squeals in grunts in pain was astonishing and Im particularly proud of myself. Still talking in this situation wasn't at all a good idea but it distracted me and my sister as well. The end game of this situation still floating in my head.
I turned to face my black-haired sister barely being able to see. Yet somehow I am still able to decipher my sister's emotions. I understand that she was scared for me, herself, and the rest of their family. Everyone else was scattered around the house so it's no telling what's happening to them.
"It's not over yet."
I whispered gently grasping my sister's shaking hand slowly closing my blinded eyes. The pain-filled screech of my sister's wails hurt my soul. The pain getting worse to her as the flames slowly ate us alive.
My voice that I was trying to hold back began crackling as agonizing cries of pain pushed up my throat and out my mouth. The stronger facade that I tried to put on for my sister shattering. Tears fled from my drying eyes as a felt an unsettling horrifying feeling of death.
At the very least I want the others to stay alive even if I did just want to see them okay.
"I-i don't want to leave y'all ."
my sister's raspy drying voice broke through her lips with a high proportion of struggle. I would appreciate her strong will to survive if I wasn't caught up in pain as my conscience begins slipping away.
'I wanna see them all before I go.'
