Chapter 1: Encounter

I live alone in a crappy boarding house. I'm just a poor highschool boy striving to earn money for living. Well, having no relatives sure is hard...

"ugh, I'm hungry..." I looked for some food and to my surprise... I'm our of stock!

(really?) i sighed.

it's already 10 pm but i'm really gonna die out of hunger

"Well, I guess i gotta go buy some foods..."

I took the flashlight, of course because it's dark in the streets.

I went out.

I reached the nearest grocery store, grabbed some cheap foods, paid then leave.

"My money's not gonna last long," i said with tears in the tip of my eyes

while walking back home, the flashlight shutted off .

"guess It's out of batteries, such misfortune!"

"Damn, It's dark!"

"help..."

i heard something. "hello?" i replied back

"help... h..el..."

It's a female's voice. i searched the surroundings and i saw a girl lying on the ground. i went to her.

She's around my age and she's hot... (it's a double meaning. she's beautiful and has a fever) I chuckled

I lifted her up and carried to my room.

(her temperature is so high) i took a basin with water and some towel. I undressed her and wiped her body while, of course, my eyes were closed.

I covered her with the quilt.

"she's pretty, i guess she came from a rich family" i murmured while looking at her

(i wonder where my family is) i Sighed

Well, gotta go to sleep. it's late at night.

I woke up earlier than i used to be.

"she's still sound asleep" i murmured

~grrrurrg~ "crap! i forgot to eat last night!"

I went to the small kitchen and cooked some fried rice, eggs and hams. I prepared an extra set for her.

"aahhhhhh~~!!" she shouted. "what did you do to me last night?!"

She asked. then ran to the corner covering her body with the quilt

Well i guess she's shocked, i cant blame her

"Don't move too much, you're still sick!"

"i saw you lying on the ground last night so i picked you up" i explained

"i didnt do anything bad to you last night. here have some food" I offered

"i-is that so?" she said gently. She wore her clothes then started eating the food.

Aftersome time she called someone to pick her up.

"by the way, that food was great. Simple but delicious!" she said, Now enegetically.

"of course! im proud on my skills!" i replied proudly

We talked for half an hour then someone knocked on the door.

"who's there?" i asked

"i'm the butler of young miss" he replied.

I opened the door. (her butler's around 70s?) i guess she really is rich..

"young miss, im here to pick you up" he said

"sebastian! i was waiting for you" she replied. "sebastian, this is the person who saved me. Sir, this is sebastian, my butler" she spoke, formally intruducing us to each other

"i thank you for what you've done for young miss"

"n-no problem hehe" i replied awkwardly.

"here's some thanks" he gave me 100, 000 dollars. (Really?!)

"u-uh i can't take that much.." i said while giving it back

"it's okay, just accept it. It's my thanks!" the girl said

"well we're going home" they bid farewell

i was looking at her when she shouted, "what's your name btw?!"

she's so energetic despite being sick

"My name is Lance!" i replied then she went inside the car and left

I went inside my room and layed down. The pillow and quilt is still covered by her smell. (so fragrant). no! im not a pervert!

(what should i do with this money? i can use this for a year... come to think of it, i forgot to ask her name... I wish we could meet again.) so many thoughts came to my mind. Sigh
