Demension 10
(Vol.1)
In this world, there are more than 7.5 billion people. Each of these people had a different story.
People are driven by the curiosity to discover new things and live new experiences. These experiences are what make each person unique.
The search for knowledge and the search for answers were what made humanity progress. Some remarkable events in the world end up becoming generally known ... However, there are other issues that are not known to anyone, or almost anyone.
Some questions may take longer than others to be answered, while others may not be answered at all. Is there life outside of Earth? Are there civilizations more advanced than us in another part of the galaxy? What can we find outside the Milky Way? Is there anything beyond the Universe?
These are some of the doubts that have been around humanity for a long time. Many are afraid to get the answer to these questions, while others have an immense desire to know more about the universe and its peculiarities.
November 4, 2019, at first, seemed to be a day like any other, but ... This would be the day when two young Terrans would experience the most unique experience of all, one that no one ever imagined having before. .
It was 8:15 am in a small town in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Uruguaiana is the last place where anyone would expect heroes to emerge, after all, why not some city in the USA? But what few take into account is that a great hero can come from anywhere.
At a public school in the city of Uruguaiana, State Institute of Education Romanelo Vals Lira, a visit to the city's museum began.
A teacher guided her students with a calm but imperative tone in her voice: "Everyone in their places! We are leaving in 5 minutes!"
In seats 17-18, there were two boys who were talking. Marco, 18 years old, was around 1.80 tall, wore a black and white all star, black eyes, black shirt, cap and carried a skateboard. Beside him, 17-year-old Neivaldo, curly hair, honey-colored eyes, was about 1.74 tall, had a crazy face, wore a football team shirt and burnt yellow shorts.
Marco exclaims with a happy expression on his face: "I can't believe it's only a month and a half to be free of this school forever."
Neivaldo agrees, complementing Marco's celebration and asking: "Finally that day is at hand! What do you intend to do next? '
Marco responds as he watches people passing by the bus window: "I don't know! My head hurts just thinking about it, my mother to find a way to support me. How about you?"
Neivaldo responds with an air of pride: "I'm dating Dr. Gilberto's daughter!"
Marco asks while his eyes are focused on Neivaldo: "The only daughter of one of the richest people in town ?! This is almost like winning the lottery!"
Neivaldo replies while putting his feet on the front seat: "That's right bro! That old man is just waiting for death to come and get him and Letícia is his only daughter and heir. I already have my life guaranteed!"
But something interrupts their conversation, it was a deep voice and apparently the person was very excited. The voice asked with curiosity and euphoria: "Really? Are you sure that the relics of Egypt can be here?"
Marco questions Neivaldo in a mocking tone: "What are those nerds talking about?"
Neivaldo responds with more debauchery as he tries to look in the direction from which the voice came: "Nerdsses, what else?"
In seats 13-14, two boys were talking. 18-year-old João was about 1.79 tall, dark brown eyes, wore a black and white cap, mutant Rex sneakers and a blue shirt. Next to him was 17-year-old Mark, about 1.77 tall, light brown eyes, wearing a coat with the number "52" and a black shirt with a kind of white cross.
João answered Mark's questions with a serious and glaring look: "Yes, I do! If my studies are correct, the relics were discovered by a French archeologist named Louis Dubois in the 19th century. In 1866 they were taken to Marseille in France, where they stayed until 1919. After the First World War, the whole of Europe was plunged into a crisis, which caused the former owners of the relics to sell them. The buyer became the municipal museum of Rio de Janeiro, where they stayed for only 1 year. and 3 months on display. After August 16, 1920, after an incident where, supposedly, a person disappeared in the Egyptian wing of the museum, the relics were locked up in the basement. In 1926 the director of the museum chose to sell them. The buyer was a millionaire from Buenos Aires, who had shown a great interest in the relics. The relics were being sent to his buyer, but unfortunately he died suddenly before receiving his order. . The buyer's family had no interest in them and the museum didn't want them back either, so they ended up staying where they were when the buyer passed away. "
Mark asked while frowning: "And this place was Uruguaiana?"
João replies while giving more details about the relics: "Actually, no. They were in Santa Maria during the event and, later, they were passed on to the museum there."
Mark asks another question while staring at João: "So how can you be so sure they are here?"
João replied while tying his sneakers: "In 1957, the museums of Uruguaiana and Santa Maria exchanged several pieces among themselves. There is nothing confirmed, but it seems that the Egyptian relics were on the exchange list. Therefore, I think we can say that there are 50 % chance of them being here. "
Mark sighs and once again asks João: "And what do you want with these relics anyway?"
João replies while adjusting his glasses: "I have been studying Egyptian hieroglyphs for a month and a half. I want to find out what is written on them."
Mark looks confused as he asks João, "How did you find someone to teach you hieroglyphics?"
João replied while looking at the roof of the bus: "I talked to an Argentine historian who was interested in knowing more about Brazil. We can say that it was an exchange, since neither of us paid anything for the other."
Mark continues to ask João: "And how did you find him?"
João replied while smiling and waving to an acquaintance who passed by the bus: "An Argentine friend of mine knew about my interest and introduced me."
Mark's eyes sparkled as he once again questioned João: "Argentine friend? And where did you learn to speak Spanish?"
João happily answered Mark's questions: "An American friend introduced me to this Argentine friend of mine, then I learned Spanish with him and taught him Portuguese."
Intrigued Mark continued to question João: "And where did you learn English?"
João looked at Mark and very patiently continued to answer his questions: "A Korean acquaintance introduced me to this American. I taught him German and he taught me English."
Mark with a look of surprise asked João again: "And where did you learn German and Korean?"
Joao, realizing that it could go on, ended the dialogue quickly: "We'll be in this all day, Mark."
Mark agreed with João and continued with the previous topic: "You are right. But anyway, I always thought that because it is an ancient script, the hieroglyphics did not have a 100% accurate translation."
João replied Mark as he watched the teacher welcoming the students: "And there really isn't, but what we have today is enough to interpret most things correctly ..."
João was interrupted by the voice of the teacher who exclaimed: "Let's go now! Everyone in their places!"
The trip took about 40 minutes. The green and white bus smoothly took the class of 25 students to their destination. The destination in question was the city's municipal museum. It was relatively large, about 50 meters wide and 30 meters high. All students had to sign an attendance list at the entrance to the museum.
The teacher said while guiding her students: "We're here! Please go down and wait in front of the entrance door. I'll meet you soon, soon! Ah, don't forget that as soon as we get back to school, you should hand me the job. of history I asked for. "
Marco made an expression of fear and surprise as he asked Neivaldo: "I didn't do this job, brother! Did you, Neivaldo?"
Naivaldo replied while frowning: "I didn't do anything! We'll have to find a way to do it!"
Marco let out a small laugh as he asked Neivaldo: "Shall we do the usual then? Hahaha!"
Neivaldo laughed too and agreed with Marco: "Of course, yes!"
A little further on, were João and Mark. João was euphoric with the relics: "I am very anxious!"
Mark smirks and says, "After you talked about it so much, I ended up being curious about these relics. Hopefully the Egyptian wing will be one of the first!"
Marco and Neivaldo arrived behind Mark and João, pushing them. Marco with an air of mockery says: "So, nerds ... I think you must already imagine what we want, right?"
Mark sarcastically and recklessly replies, "I have a theory!"
Marco with a look of superiority replies: "Your theory is right! That's exactly what we want!"
Mark looks down while speaking in a slurred voice: "Oh God, it's hard for me to say that, you know, but I have to say. We're straight! If you want sexual fun try to go to Las Vegas, as long as you pay well, you will find many guys willing to satisfy you. Or, help each other. Maybe a colorful friendship is no longer fun. "
João speaks in Mark's ear: "Dude ... SHUT UP ..."
Marco looks irritated and asks in a loud voice, almost shouting: "What did this boy say?"
Neivaldo replies with a mocking tone and an angry voice: "He said he wants to go to the hospital to visit the doctor!"
João tries to soften the situation: "Calm down guys, it was just a joke from my inconsequential friend ... look, I know what they want but there is a problem, this time we already put our names in the works ..."
Neivaldo says sarcastically: "Really? But what a pity! Well, according to the regulations, you should take a beating on the way out for making a mistake as serious as this. It's good to be prepared!"
Marco complements what Neivaldo said: "And if you tell the teacher anything, the punishment will extend for the rest of the week!"
Mark starts to get angry and close his fist, but João gently touches his shoulder and says calmly: "Sure! Don't worry about it, we will be prepared for the punishment and we will not tell anyone."
Marco with a tone of authority says: "It's really good!"
Marco and Neivaldo walk away while Mark asks himself while closing his eyes: "Why don't we react?"
João speaks seriously to Mark: "Are you crazy ?! We have no chance against them! Do you remember what happened the last time you reacted?"
Mark with a look of embarrassment replies: "They put two tubes of glue whole in my backpack and then stuck it in my head ..."
João speaks pretentiously: "Exactly! The only thing guys like us can do is wait for the future. When we are the bosses, they will work for us!"
Mark responds with a timid tone in his voice: "I'm not very confident about that ..."
João continues to encourage Mark: "We are going to have a lot of money and influence all over the city, so I just want to see how they look at us."
Ahead, Mark and João overheard an argument. Marco and Neivaldo were threatening one of their colleagues. Marco said while threatening the boy: "We know you haven't put your name on the job yet and you have a reservation, if something happens to the original, then let's make a deal: You will hand us the jobs and we won't put your head in the toilet . "
Neivaldo smiled from ear to ear as he agreed with Marco: "It seems very fair to me."
The boy started trying to bargain with Marco and Neivaldo. He said as he stammered, "Guys ... I spent days researching to do this job, please!"
Marco got angry and started shouting at the poor boy: "I THINK YOU ARE DEAF, DON'T YOU ?!"
Neivaldo added: "We will have to fix it!"
Mark couldn't stand to see it. He exclaimed as he dropped his backpack on the floor: "OH NO!"
João already imagining what would happen, took Mark's arm while asking: "Mark! What are you going to do ?!"
Mark pulled his arm tightly out of João's hand and said in an irritated voice, "Stupid probably!"
Mark came up behind Marco and Neivaldo while shouting: "Leave him alone!"
Marco with a surprised expression says, "You again? I think we will need to extend the spanking for the rest of the week!"
Mark once again uses sarcasm and humor to deal with the situation. He says as he stands in front of Marco and Neivaldo: "What is your problem? It didn't cost anything to take some time to do a half-hearted job, because coming from you, a good job would only be done if you were replaced by robots. "
Neivaldo changes his arrogant countenance to a furious one. He asks as he pushes Mark on the floor, "How is it ?!"
João arrives and helps Mark to get up. He asks, "Did you get hurt?"
Mark replies as he gets up and cleans his pants: "No ..."
Everyone is interrupted by the teacher who yells, "Okay, let's go in!"
João lets out a sigh of relief as he exclaims, "Finally!"
Marco angrily says: "You were lucky, you three! But I still want those jobs!"
The boy Mark "saved", was a little embarrassed, but shyly thanked: "Thanks man ..."
Mark responds while helping the boy to collect his books from the floor: "Okay ... they have no right to threaten anyone."
The teacher explains to her students the order of wards through which they will pass: "First we will start with the indigenous wing, then the Asian wing, prehistoric and ..."
Mark says with dismay: "Um ... the Egyptian wing will not be the first."
João speaks with joy: "This is great!"
Mark asks him, "Great? Why?"
João explains to Mark as the gang enters the museum: "If it's just the two of us there now, we will have more time to analyze all the pieces in the ward and see if the relics are there."
Mark reprimands João: "But, the teacher will see if we separate from the rest of the class."
João explains his plan to Mark: "You know our class, as soon as the teacher goes to the Asian ward, there will be some who will remain in the Indian ward. If we gradually stay behind, she won't notice."
Mark shakes his head, signaling that he understood, while saying, "I hope this works!"
25 minutes later, the class had already gone through 6 wings, while, as João said, some were staying in the previous wings.
João said to Mark in a low voice: "See? They have already gone through six wings and we are still in second."
Mark said to João as he gestured towards the Egyptian wing: "We better go quickly with this!"
João looked around and said: "Let's go!"
Mark and João arrived in the Egyptian wing. Entering there, they both looked around very carefully, until João said: "I only came here once when I was 6 years old, I don't remember very well what exactly is here."
Mark responds while looking for something different: "I was here when I was 13 and I don't remember seeing anything" abnormal "around here."
João said while looking at the objects on the wing: Let's see, a model of the sphinx, some sarcophagi, a statue of the goddess Isis and a statue of Anubis in front of a giant sculpture of a pyramid.
Mark says with a tone of disappointment: "It doesn't seem to have changed much since the last time I was here."
That was when a security guard entered the place and soon reprimanded Mark and João: "What are you doing here? Don't you know that you should be walking with the gang?"
Mark thought, "We're screwed ..."
João quickly replied to the security guard at the site: "Excuse us, guard! We were very curious about the pieces of the Egyptian wing. Let's meet again with the gang right now!"
The security guard spoke as he crossed his arms: "I think it's good!"
Mark questioned the man before he could turn to leave: "Guard, can we take a picture before we get back?"
The security guard nodded and said, "Yes, but move on!"
Mark added, "We won't be long!"
At that moment, the security radio made a noise and a high-pitched voice came from him: "Fabrício, it seems that one of the students ended up breaking a vase in the Indian wing. That vase cost about 6 thousand reais for the museum's coffers. this student must pay for the loss! "
The security guard immediately obeyed the order: "It's over now, Marina!"
João asked: "Is there a problem, your guard?"
The security guard replied as he headed towards the Indian wing: "One of your colleagues broke an item from the museum. I have orders from the director to investigate the situation. Take this photo right away and go back to the class!"
João agreed: "Yes, sir!"
The security guard left the place and Mark quickly positioned himself to take the picture, he said to João: "Here! Please take a picture of me!"
João, intrigued by Mark's insistence, asks him: "Why do you want to take this photo so badly?"
Mark responds with a smile as he poses for the photo: "My youngest brother has never been here, so if I tell him that we went to Egypt, he will believe it. Here! I will take it out between the statues of Isis and the Anubis. "
João says as he prepares to take the photo: "There you go!"
Mark asks, "Ready? Let me see!"
When João goes to show the photo to Mark, he notices that Mark is having trouble getting his coat off the statues. He asks: "Here! What? What happened?"
Mark replies while trying hard to get his coat out of there: "My coat got stuck in the hand of the statues. Help me!"
João goes to Mark while complaining: "Frankly ..."
Mark tries to explain, "I don't know how it happened. It's almost as if they are holding my clothes."
João says to Mark: "I'm going to pull you!"
Mark warns João as he tries to pull the coat: "Be careful that this coat is personalized! I was saving money for over a year so I could have it done."
João replies ironically: "Of course, Mark 52!"
Mark exclaims: "Stronger!"
João pulls with all his strength, but he can't. He says to Mark, "Don't go out!"
The statues' fingers start to crack, until they break. Mark yells happily: "We made it!"
João says with distress: "Shit! The fingers of the statues have broken!"
Mark questions João as he starts to get anxious: "What now ?! I am not going to jail because of this!"
That was when a noise could be heard. João asked: "What is that noise?"
Mark replied while pointing, "It comes from behind the pyramid."
João exclaimed while looking at the pyramid: "Let's see!"
Mark tries to convince João that it is not a good idea to check. He jokingly says, "Look, I've seen a lot of horror movies to know that if you hear a strange noise in a place that you don't know that much, the best thing to do is to ignore it and run."
João, without paying much attention, replies: "It's not that kind of film, let's go!"
The triangular pyramid was about 8 meters high. Mark and João found an opening behind it. Its interior had now become somewhat visible, as well as the secrets kept there.
Mark asks João: "Shall we go in?"
João agrees with a lot of curiosity: "Of course!"
Mark and João enter the pyramid and soon Mark says: "Oh God, there is no way to see very well, but there seems to be a book in a pulpit."
As soon as they enter, the opening closes and Mark exclaims, "Damn it bro! The entrance is closed!"
João says as he takes out his cell phone: "Turn on your phone's flashlight! I'll turn on mine too!"
Mark, a little annoyed, also turns on his cell phone's flashlight and says: "My phone has a bad battery, I hope whatever is here is worth it!"
Inside the pyramid there was a 4 meter statue of the god Ra, which was in front of the pulpit. The walls were filled with figures, which seemed to be made of some kind of crystal, as the light from cell phones reacted.
Mark asks João: "What is the meaning of these drawings on the walls?"
João replies in surprise: "I have no idea!"
Mark asks João as he puts his cell phone flashlight on his face: "Didn't you say you could read the hieroglyphs?"
João replies while trying to identify the drawings: "But these drawings are not hieroglyphics. I have never seen anything like this anywhere."
Mark then looks at the book in the pulpit and asks João What about that book?"
João goes to the book and opens it: "Let's see ..."
Meanwhile, outside the pyramid, the security guard goes back to the Egyptian wing indignantly and says: "Those kids broke the statues. There are only vandals in this class! I'll have to pass this on to the principal!"
The security guard goes to the museum director's office and explains what happened. She asks him: "So, do you mean we have another loss now ?!"
The security guard answers awkwardly: "Yes, Marina!"
The director once again questions him with evident anger in her eyes: "Have you already charged them for the damage done?"
The security guard responds with his head down: "I didn't find them!"
The director asks with a tone of concern: "How come you didn't find them, Fabrício?"
The security guard explained: "They just disappeared. I didn't see them anywhere in the museum."
That was when the director started to wander in her thoughts: "Is it possible? A young man disappeared in 1920 in Rio de Janeiro when he was alone in the Egyptian wing. And now it does! The purchase and exchange records do not make it clear whether those relics in fact they are here. If they were really here, why didn't anything happen before? Why right now? "
Meanwhile, back at the pyramid, João said euphorically: "This is incredible!"
Mark asks him: "What did you read there?"
João ignored Mark and went on with his conclusions: "How is this possible? This book must be around 4 thousand years old."
Annoyed Mark asks João again to say the contents of the book: "Stop messing around and say what you read!"
João, still excited, says: "This book ... is written in several languages!"
Mark is more curious: "Really ?!"
João talks more about the book while reading other pages: "See, it goes from ancient languages like Greek to languages created only 100 years ago as Esperanto! At the end of the book there are some languages completely different from anything I've ever seen.
Mark asks João: "How many pages does this book have?"
João replies while going to the last page: "The pages are numbered in Roman characters, they are in all ..."
Mark fearfully asks, "What is it? Say it right away!"
João replies as he stutters: "They are ... exactly ... 2019 pages. Strange, where the 1920 page was supposed to be, there is nothing."
Concerned Mark notes, "Wait, wasn't there anyone who went missing in the Egyptian wing in 1920? This is getting weird ... What's written? So far you haven't said it!"
João says as Mark gets impatient: "The strangest thing of all is that the hieroglyphic scriptures are exactly in the middle of the book, in this case in the middle of page 1009."
Mark says as he gets angry: "SAY SO WHAT THE HELL IS WRITTEN !!!"
João replies calmly: "Just a paragraph!"
Mark is surprised and asks, "What do you mean, just a paragraph?"
João replies and then begins to read the paragraph: "It is just a paragraph that is repeated in other languages throughout the book.
"과거, 현재, 미래 는 항상 연결될 것 입니다 ..."
Mark says sarcastically: "Oh my good friend, I don't speak Korean. Look for the english in the book."
João replies awkwardly: "Oh, you're right." Past, present and future, they will always be interconnected, because of that, there will always be a new tomorrow, where eventually someone will finish what you started. In this world, people cannot live forever, but their ideas are capable of transcending time and reaching the ends of existence, not least because time is relative and can be interpreted in different ways depending on the position and nature of each one. In this world we live in, the Sun decides when the day begins and ends, so regardless of time and place, everyone will always wait for a new dawn. Everyone's wish is that this dawn will always be more illuminating than the previous one, but the reality is that the choices of each one are what define what that dawn will be like. The existential truth is that everyone can choose today the dawn that they will experience tomorrow. "
Mark notes: "Ra is the sun god, isn't it? It seems that all of this is related to him."
João notices something he had not noticed before: "I just noticed something, the script in hieroglyphs contains two more sentences below.
"Today is August 16th, 1920 and I came to prepare for the new dawn."
Mark asks, "This business is getting more and more complicated. What does it say in the other sentence?"
João a little scared reads the last paragraph: "Today is the 4th of November 2019 and we will finish what we started, like the sun that rises and sets around us."
At that moment, the walls started to shine and the scenery around changed completely. These two young men had just embarked on a journey and saw what no one has ever seen.
