Incomplete Stories For You To Copy!!!

The Girl (or Boy)

The waves crashed softly on the side of the cliff. The rock bed- one that carried mosses and small plants, animals so vibrantly colored yet small- was on the edge of the cliff, right beneath the edge actually, high above the ocean, where the waves lapped at the side of the cliff. Though (insert character name here, or whatever else you think may fit) did not think the waves were quiet. No, (whatever you inserted into the last blank) thought that the waves were roaring, whispering, clawing at her, and embracing her in a warm hug. (Insert what you put in the first blank- this will be referred to as the main character fro here on out) was so confused, she was drowning and breathing, her lungs straining, and her blood rushing, pumping, as though (main character) had only just nearly escaped death. (Main character) woke up with her body screaming at her, her eyelids being weighed down by anvils, lungs being crushed under gravity that was the same as ever but- oh gravity was just oh too strong- (main character) was afraid- no, (main character) was mortified. (She/he) couldn’t move- wouldn’t. (She/he) was unable and unwilling and a plethora of other things that said, “stay still, don’t move please.” (Main character) didn’t know anything at all, only the name they were given at birth and that the clothes grasping onto (his/her) back was torn and tattered, grasping on for dear life as the water was glue between the cloth and skin despite weak bonds between thread.

What is a person supposed to think, a human supposed to think when all they know is erased and logic- though they may not be left with such a precious gift of reasoning- is flipped inside and out? (Main character) looks around at the shoreline, the cliff, (she/he) looks up to the rock bed, the one containing small misses, plants, and vibrantly colored animals that are more brilliant than jewels humans hold so dearly precious. (Main character) climbs- for what reason they do not care to know or to think about- the rock face that leads to the edge of the cliff like a wild beast looking for scraps of food after a thousand years of painful starvation, a ravaging beast (she/he) appeared to be. (Main character) appeared as a beast... to who?

You can start the story from here on out but here are some options for a take off...

Option 1: The person who is looking at her/him pities her/him and takes the main character to thier dwelling.

Split path option 1 of option 1: The person is super rich because of family inheritance or business and may or may not be on vacation or they live on the island by themselves which is why the main character was not seen or rescued before they woke up on the shoreline. Take notice that the story may or may not entirely progress on the island this way. The person who found the main character may take the main character back to civilization after being nursed back to health or being reintroduced to social norms or habits. The person may also keep the main character on the island and during that time the story progresses where there may or may not be a significant absence of the person who found the main character. In that time of absence the story may include a time skip (an example is how some stories say things like “it has been ____ years since I last saw (person)”) and resume where the two characters reunite again after a brief summary of the individuals’ trials, tribulations, or hardships either party went through.

Split path option 2 of option 1: The person who found the main garacter is not super rich, rather they are on one of many uninhabited small islands. It was decided too small and unworthy of development by the (Japanese or other type of government that controls a bunch of uninhabited or ignored islands) and therefore ignored and looked away from altogether. This means the whole story would be based on the island but because of the main character searching parties may go to the island (and may or may not find the main character depending on both of the characters including the main character and the one who found the main character). The main character may also want to go back to the mainland and take a chance at finding it by building a boat (this would be in accordance with the desire to recover thier lost memories).

Option 2: The person who found the main character is a resident of an underdeveloped nation, or possibly tribe (you can change the nature of dwelling depending on your situation and habitat that you may have already created). This means that the main character, who has no memories of thier life, will adapt to the culture that is (to the readers/viewers/etc.) strange and in ordinary or possibly even magical when confined to that area of the world.

Split path option 1 of option 2: The tribe doesn’t accept or cannot help the main character and the person who found the main character temporarily (peaceful or angrily) departs from the tribe, city, or such dwelling situation to move to a less visited, yet equally rich in materials, portion of the island. There the person will nurture and care for the main character. Supporting characters may be founded by a rare other dweller if he less populated half of the island or may even be animals (please don’t make the animals talk). Animals will act on instinct but keep in mind that depending on thier exposure to humans, human interactions, and various human activities, animals will act or even be naturally trained to behave in a different manner than animals who grew up without exposure to any human involvement. There are many possible developments from this point on. Whatever you have already developed should be the base point of the storyline’s location for some time to come.

Split path option 2 of option 2: The person who found the main character belongs to an advanced-as-can-be society where they have not developed to the level of what is considered modern society but is not quite a non developed society. This community has created small versions of things that may have been really useful to them if they had a larger population such as paper money (an older form of paper money- meaning not printed by machines and are exact copies of each other but rather hand drawn to symbol that this piece of paper is money- but where people don’t have to have heavier types of money such as precious metals when loaded into banks). It is possible paper money came about in such a small island when trade became slightly less used and something similar to an I.O.U. appeared (I.O.U. is a way of saying “I owe you” and is usually a piece of paper stating a short and prompt statement of “this person owes that person ____ amount, this is because of ____ / because that person traded this person ____ (and therefore the I.O.U. is almost an informal contract) but only after the majority of the community’s population (consisting of generally older people) found it difficult to pay with metals or found it inconvenient to store certain quantities of metals in order to pay due to maininence if storage (even if it is just a mere chest an older person may find it difficult to bend down and open the chest, or also lift something slightly weighted up from the chest). The main character may slowly recover bits of his/her memory, allowing her/him to alter inventions so that they can be more efficient or productive with amounts of materials used and, therefore, reciprocated by the process of refining the raw materials (basically instead of 1 measurement of a cloth being produced from 2 measurements of the raw material- which can be wool, cotton, or even fibers from soft trees or any other plant- the 1 measurement of cloth can be produced from the same 1 measurement of raw material). Through this process the person who first found the main character grew in awe of the main character over periods of time. Hereafter, the main character first drew into a friendly relashonship with the main character when she was being nursed back to health after waking up on the shoreline leading to a mutual (at least) friendly (kinda starting to lean over into more than nice friends) relashonship.

Option 3: The person who found the main character is not the love interest. The person who found the main character may or may not serve/be friends with/know the love interest who is considered to have the ability or chance of helping the main character.

Split path 1 of option 3: The pain and agony of the main character softens the heart of the caretaker/love interest and therefore starts the relashonship between each other.

Split path 2 of option 3: The main character in conscious when brought back into the caretaker/love interest’s dwelling, or place that the main character will be nursed back to health into (this may be a home, general care center which is similar to a hospital and is adapted to fit the small population with adequately modern or underdeveloped materials and instruments, or a clinic) and during the time where the main character and love interest meet the main character for a brief moment knows the love interest by his face and says his name without being told or introduce for such. From this point on there would be an inseparable relashonship between the two, whether this is shrouded in mystery and slowly savored as its unwrapped or the love interest knows the main character still (or in other words knows who she is and has not forgotten) and reveals it to the readers by thought (or other possible means) is up to you.

That’s it. I hope you are not too confused and can form your own story. Whether the story is in your head, published, contracted, or on a notebook in you bedroom drawer I’m glad you took inspiration from this or read to this point. Have a wonderful day and God bless you!
