Chapter 2 Realisation

I woke in a gloomy room , devoid of sunlight,filled with dust and dirt . Looking at the condition of the room anyone can tell that a ghost mist be living here . Someone whose existence in itself is questionable .

The architecture is not questionably lavish and perfect enough just if you ignore the fact that it must have used to be a pretty and lavish room.

All I can see now is a wreck of a room .Not even a single mirror can be found ,not to mention the state of the sheets is indescribable . The furniture is worn out.

‘Fine , how about I first start by opening the windows atleast . I went to open the windows but they're stuck , that's what happens when you don't open them , but for how long were they even closed for and what am I supposed to do with this weak body of mine . I tried with all my might to open the window and finally after a while I was able to open it ' .

“Wow, I've never seen anything soo beautiful."

Sabrina could see a beautiful blue sky , lands covered with greens as far the eyes might be able to gaze upon .Beautiful mandevilla like vines covering the outside of her window A view that could not seen in the forest of concrete in which she used to live in .

Looking closely It looks like the room is a part of a castle , and the beautiful lands covered with greens including weeds and all kinds of flora and fauna is a garden , if you ignore the fact that it is an abandoned garden .

Sabrina brushes the dirt on the glass panel of her window and sees the reflection of the body that she inhabited .

Intoxicating long hair darker than ebony ,even the night sky appears brighter with all the stars .Skin so pale makes you wonder ,dead or alive .Pretty face studded with jewel like eye as if taken from sapphire itself.Even only the scratches , the rough texture and that big scar on the right eye would go unnoticed ,she would have become a beauty unrivaled .

“ That's exactly like how Luna looked , a distinctive scar on the right eye , how could it go unnoticed ? "

Those hair and the scar on the right eye gifted by her very own mother when she was born , as if anyone could deny her of being the ‘ The Cursed Child ' .It wasn't just a superficial scar , it was deep enough to make that very eye useless . An existence denied and rejected by anyone and everyone around her .

A cursed being whose mother got eaten away by an illness , right after her birth .

She was everything opposite of her non identical twin Elenora .

“Just one look and you can tell it's the villainess Luna. "

‘Anyway she wasn't that big of a villainess , just a side mob villainess who eventually dies at the guillotine by the order of her very own family .'

‘ I took a walk at this abandoned castle and not a single soul was found . Who would believe that this is a palace in which the princess of the greatest kingdom lives .'

“Well, it must be a terror for a princess to live in this palace , but not for me , I can easily do all the house work . Now, let's make this place somewhat habitable ."

LATER IN THE NIGHT

“All I have to do is get out of this place , even if Luna were not to be a villainess ,there is no guarantee that I won't be killed ."

No one would hesitate to kill a parasite , for the royal family ,she was their greatest embarrassed and their greatest stain ,rotting and eating away of them . They wouldn't hesitate to kill her in the name of purifying the kingdom from evil and darkness .

‘ I don't even know whether I should call her stupid or pitiful. Even after being rejected so strongly she clung onto her family with hope , that maybe one day they would turn and look at her.Enduring those disgusting stares and knocking on those cold doors just so she could greet them , standing in front of that Immovable metal every single day ,whether in rain , thunder , snow .Without missing a single day only to be gifted with execution.'

“ First , I should go and take a look at the town in the morning ."

MORNING

“There must be some jewels , anything even a tiny one would do . Aahha , found one."

“As for the clothes , all of them are ragged , if I just remove these disturbing laces ... and there we go , PERFECT just like commoners . Lastly a cloak , I must hide this distinctive scar ."

‘ I went to the castle gate only to find that not only it was cut off from the Grand royal palace but also not even a single guard was to be found , obviously who would want to work close to a cursed entity . Everyone really was afraid of her .'

AT THE TOWN'S SQUARE

“Wow"

“ It's so lively , Now let's get the status of this kingdom's economy. Just doing some window shopping would help. ”

After walking for a while , I realised that the capital city is really worth its name .

“ Onto the next thing , I need information , as much as I can get. "

“ Now , where to go.."

( Suddenly overhears )

Random women 1: “ Did you hear,the awakening ceremony is just ten days away ."

Random women 2: “ That's the day , when a ceremony is held in order to help the royal family awaken their elemental magic and summon a spirit ,when they come of age ."

Random women 3: “ Her highness will definitely receive the a light spirit just as bright as her hair and personality ."

Random women 2: “ Wait, wouldn't that mean... "

Random women 1 : “ ( gasp ) ‘That' thing would be present too."

Random women 3 : “ Who knows , she might even taint the grand day of her highness. "

( ughh, bumps into an old hunch backed women )

Her appearance was revolting , nobody would even want to get close .

Luna :“ I apologize , Are you alright ?"

( Helps her get up )

Old lady : “ ( grunts ) I'm fine , Thank you."

Luna : “ N-no , it was my fault , I bumped into you."

( Quickly picks up her stuff )

Old lady : “ ( softly ) What's your name , child ?"

Luna: A- ah , i-its Sabrina .

( Smiles suprisingly )

Old lady : “ If you say so , Sabrina would you be kind enough to accompany me to my home ?"

‘well , it's not like I have anything else to do . also , even if things turn out to be shady , as soon as this clock gets off , no one would even be able to stay close to this cursed body.'

Luna :“ Sure "

( Walks silently all the way to her house which was located in a maze made of streets and at the end of that maze , it was there .

An old run down magic potion shop , would collapse any moment. )

Old lady : “ welcome to my humble abode , please put the things on the table and have a seat. "

Luna : “ oh YES , thank you ."

Old lady : “ would you like to accompany this old lady for supper , princess Luna ? "

Luna : “ ( dumbfounded ) H-how do you..."

Old lady : “Believe me , this old lady have lived too long to tell on a lie spoken by a person with a sapphire eye ."

Luna : “ Then why did you invite me ... aren't you afraid of being cursed or dying ?"

Old lady : “ hahaha , this old body is not afraid of death , dear princess .And I wonder if you can curse anyone with that scranwy built ."

“ please eat "

“ This place used to be a potion shop , believe me it used to be one of the best in the whole kingdom , Even the nobles would have their share of difficulty in buying a single potion . Ahahaha ...."

Luna : why do I feel so warm , it's like something's melting , is it me or this body ?

( It was only some rough bread , a warm stew Yet Tears starts dripping from that sapphire jewel ,like a stream of river , non stop like a heavy burden was lift off. The guilt of her being the cause of the hate and rejection .)

Luna : “ (hic , hic ) T-t-thank y-you soo much , this is the warmest meal I've ever had ."

( Even in her previous life , Sabrina never shared a warm meal with someone , being an orphan from a young age , moving from house to house , from one realtive to another ,she had no place to call home or no one to call hers. At the end , she settled at living alone .)

Old lady : “ Sometimes , it's better to let it all out ..."

(With the wrinkled warm hands she pats Luna's head and embraces her warmly )

“ I pray with all my heart that one day you will find a place where you belong and the people who will cherish you ,more than anything .”

Luna :“ You smell funny, my lady "

After a while

Old lady : “ Take this your highness , this potion may not relieve your sadness but it will surely alleviate your scars , not completely but surely it will not be useless. And this , your big day is just ten days away , this is my most cherished dress , back in the days ,this was what I wore on my big day , it might help."

Luna: “ I'm so grateful , My lady ."

( Under the moonlit sky , there she stands smiling brightly like an innocent child who was given something for the first time in her life , the radiating light fades away as she walks away.)

Old lady :“ ...and they call her ‘ the cursed child ' ..... Goodbye ,‘ The lovely yet lonely princess ' .

May you walk a flowery path , the innocent child who helped who accompanied a dying person for supper on her last day .THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart"
