Adopted

In an orphanage at Kani, a remote place far away from the kingdom of Eriana. There lives a 10 year old boy--an orphan.

"Sinor! Come here for a moment, I need to talk to you about something." Mother shouted.

"What is it, Mother?" I replied while looking at the man and a woman Mother seems to be talking to.

"You're getting adopted!" Mother said, "Aren't you happy? This is perfect as you'll be celebrating your 11th birthday with your soon to be parents."

I was shocked by what Mother said. I felt extreme sadness when I thought of the things that would happen next. I won't see them anymore? I'm getting seperated from the other kids?

"W-what? I'm getting adopted? Why so soon? I'll be celebrating my 11th birthday in a week can't the adoption wait?" I said to Mother with a shocked yet sad tone.

"Oh don't talk like that! When you go and spend a little time with them I'm sure you'll forget about us." Mother comforted me.

What's that about spending a little time with them and then I'll forget about them? I'll forget about Mother and the other kids? No way. Is Mother saying that in a week or so of spending time with my soon to be parents I'll forget about all the times we spent the last 10 years?!

"What are you saying Mother! Are you saying that I won't see you ever again?" I said to Mother while tears began to fall from my eyes. "I don't want to be adopted! I want to stay here with you and the others!"

"No can do Sinor. Now go to the bedroom room and pack your stuff we'll be waiting here." Mother said

With no other choice, I went to the bedroom and packed my stuff. *I don't want to go. I want to stay here.

Some minutes later*...

I finished packing my things in a bag and went to Mother.

"Am I really leaving, Mother?" I asked.

"Yes, don't be sad. You can still visit us." Mother replied.

"Really?! Then the place I'll live in must be near here right?" I asked.

"No, the place you'll be living in is the kingdom." Mother replied.

I was shocked.

"The kingdom?! Isn't that the place where foods are delicious and people are rich?!" I said to Mother with a loud voice.

"Yes dear, now go with your "parents" and be happy." Mother said.

Everyone was at the gate. The maids, the kids, and Mother. They were all there to tell me goodbye. I had mixed emotions, I was sad and happy at the same time. I hope the new family I'll move in to is as happy as my past family. I got on the chaise with my new parents.

An hour passed...

Weird. An hour passed but I still didn't held a conversation with my new parents. Are they deaf? Mute? No, it can't be. How could they talk with Mother then? I tried several times beginning a conversation with them but they would just ignore me. I don't know but I feel uncomfortable and I think something bad will happen.
