Chapter 1

In a spacious and luxurious room, a pale-skinned youth can be seen lying on an equally luxurious bed. The youth had beautiful platinum blonde hair that lay softly on his forehead.

His rosy lips parted slightly as he slowly opened his eyes.

'Where am I?'

Ivan blinked, his aquamarine eyes seemed to twinkle under the dim light of the lamp.

Ivan's eyes widened. He remembered now.

"Haa......"

He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The last thing he remembered before he died was seeing his lover kissing his best friend. Ivan laughed.

How could he have been so blind? The two people he trusted the most betrayed him and gave him a big green hat to wear.

He was twenty-six when the apocalypse began. His lover moved in together with him. They were living on the outskirts of town, so there were not many zombies. They struggled for three months until they were eventually found by the military and led to a survivor base. Not long after, abilities started appearing. Ability users became top of the food chain and most used their identities as ability users to bully the non-users because they new the base's authorities wouldn't punish them because they were a vital asset to surviving the apocalypse.

Luckily, He developed a space and fire ability and his lover become a water ability user thus, they were not subjected to any bullying or mistreatment.

To not draw too much attention to himself, he kept the fact that he had a dual ability from everyone and this included his lover.

They registered as an ability user team and went on their first mission. That's where he met his best friend. More people joined his team and soon they became the most powerful ability user team in the entire base. Even though his lover wasn't very powerful, he still gave him the position of second in command so he wouldn't be mistreated by his other teammates.

His best friend, Tom, and his lover started becoming closer and behaved more intimately but he didn't much of it despite being warned several times by others. He never would have thought, in his whole life, that he would be plotted against by the two people he trusted the most and murdered in cold blood.

They had just completed a very dangerous mission, So everyone was exhausted. His lover suddenly suggested they go to a secluded place. He thought it was strange but he went along anyway.

He turned around and in a warm voice asked, "What is it?"

Almost instantly, he felt immense pain on the left side of his chest. He looked down only to a sharp, metallic object protruding through his chest. He stared at his lover's smiling face in shock and in horror. The only person with metal abilities in the team was Tom. Ivan stiffly turned his head around and came face to face with his best friend.

Tom sneered. He suddenly raised his leg and kicked Ivan behind the knee. Ivan fell down with a thump. He raised his head and looked at the two perpetrators. With a shaky voice, he asked, "..Why....?"

Dan laughed. He looked at Ivan condescendingly and answered. " I grew tired of you. It's that simple"

Ivan looked at his lover and best friend of over a decade; despair gradually filling his eyes.

He laughed.

And just like that, he died at the age of thirty-seven. But not before seeing the pair of scum share a passionate and heated kiss.

A robotic voice sounded. Ivan glanced around the room yet didn't see anyone. Was it just his imagination?

[I'm in your head.]

"Who are you?" Ivan asked calmly. He had experienced the apocalypse and had seen many strange things, so this didn't faze him much.

[System 101 at your service!]

[I was sent by Goddess Morrigan to assist you in this smaller world]

[Haven't you noticed? you're not in your original body.]

Ivan looked down at his delicate fingers. They were so white that they seemed to glow. It was apparent that this appearance was meticulously kept to the point that no flaws could be seen. Ivan had known he was no longer at City B's farming district but he didn't think he was in another person's body.

[You are currently residing in the body of the main villain of the otome game, 'The Beautiful romance in the midst of Chaos'.

He remembered playing that game. He was quite the otaku in his younger years. It was about some obnoxious guy called Mason who went around capturing hot dudes each one sexier than the last. They all gang up on this one pitiful villain who was minding his own business. He was thrown out of the base where he was later r*ped and killed. The hero was a two-faced, green tea bitch and the villain was just an innocent bystander who became the object of the hero's envy. But to meet such a terrible end; He was truly pitiful.

Even his family didn't care about his death. They had been bought over by the hero a long time ago.

Ivan really hated this game. The storyline was absurd and it was like all the characters had brain deficiency when it came to matters regarding the hero. But the villain was also slightly at fault. He was a powerful thunder ability user and could have simply gone to another base but since this was a dog blood drama with characters that had negative IQ, of course that wasn't going to happen.

Ivan sighed in frustration. "Do I gain the owner's memories or do I have to figure it out myself?"

[Oh, you should be receiving them soon.]

As soon as its voice landed, Ivan was hit with a splitting headache and blacked out.
