Lost

Akita shuffled through the bustling crowds in the middle of Tokyo. She wasn’t ashamed to admit it. She had no idea where she was. She grumbled quietly stuck in her thoughts ‘Great! I’m lost! Ugh!! Kanako is gonna kill me’ she mentally cried as she finally found an opening in the crowd and quickly scuttled over to the free space, letting out a sigh.

She quietly mumbled to herself pulling out her phone. “Maybe I should call Kanako...no. She’ll murder me....hmm. OH! I can find directions to the nearest train station!!” Just as she started typing into her search bar. Her screen went black. “What!? Noooo!!! Come onn!” Imaginary tears ran down her face as she shook her phone. It was dead.

She sulked, slipping her phone away in defeat. “What am I gonna do...” She grumbled suddenly hearing footsteps running in her direction. “Hey there!” She turned around to see a brunette boy who looked around 17-20 years old. He smiled over to her as he walked a bit closer ,clearly out of breath. “You seem a bit lost, do you need any help?” She blushed at the realisation other people probably saw her looking lost aswell.

She rubbed the back of her head and chuckled nervously “Um- yeah actually. Do you know of any nearby train stations? I’m trying to get home and don’t think I’ll get far walking...” She deadpanned at the last part. Knowing she was hopeless with direction.

“Oh sure! Shiketsu station isn’t too far. I can walk you there if you want!” He said chuckling. Akita liked the idea but was interrupted by her thoughts ‘NOPE stranger danger. Nuh uh. But....he seems nice.. NO it may be tra- ok. I’ll go with him. I could easily beat his *** if he pulled anything..right?’ She looked the boy up and down then gave him a smile and thumbs up. “That sounds really nice honestly.. Ok!” They chuckled lightly and started walking off.

Akita soon realised something as they were walking “Hey, I never got your name.” She said chuckling a bit.

He laughed too and gave his reply “Kota! Kota Takami! What’s your name?”

She smiled lightly at the boy and replied “Akita. Akita Kotoro.” Kota gave her a bright smile “That’s a nice name!” Akita blushed a bit and chuckled “You have a nice name too Kota.” They both smiled as they continued walking to the station.

“Ok, looks like we’re here!” Kota said, smiling at Akita. “Oh! Well thank you for showing me where the station was.” She smiled at the boy who helped her. He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck shyly. “Oh! It wasn’t much... you just seemed like you needed help.” He looked down at the ground “Could I maybe.....get your number? I’m not tryna ask you out or anything! You just seem like a really nice person and- not that I wouldn’t ask you out your pretty bu-“ he was cut off by the girl beside him laughing “ Ofcourse I’ll give you my number silly. You seem like a nice guy.” He chuckled sheepishly and turned pink as they exchanged numbers. “Well, I should head home now. Bye Akita!!” Kota smiled at his knew friend before turning and sprinting off. Akita chuckled and waved at him “Bye Kota!!” She watched as he left the station and sighed ‘what a strange day’ she hummed.
