Master Devil
We all crave to be perfect whether it is in school, office or in our life. My life has always been so perfect, my grades are perfect, my beauty is perfect and my body is also perfect. But from a few days I feel like my life is going to change. Like everything will go upside down!
Hello, I’m Akari, a 17 year old perfect and badass girl. It’s been a year since my parents are deceased and I’ve been struggling to get over it. I currently stay in a hostel. My only dream is to live a happy life and find true love. It sounds rubbish right? I’m good looking and smart so I should find my Mr. perfect soon. Nah being perfect makes it more hard to find my Mr. Perfect. The other reason why my goal is finding love is because I don’t know what love is, no one has loved me before truly.
“Hey, common, you can't backstab me like that!!” a sweet voice replies. “Ohh ya I forgot to introduce my love of life” I said sweetly but in a sarcastic tone. This is Yuki, my best friend since the day I’ve entered this hostel. Have you ever heard that opposites attract? That’s the case here.
The more I’m badass, the more clumsy and sweet she is. The more I care about what I wear, the less she cares about her appearance.
“Akari! Are you done come on today’s first day of our new academic session, are you not getting ready?” shouted Yuki.
“Ahh yes” I remembered today is our first day. I quickly got ready. As soon as we headed to our class guess what we met our all-time hated person Bema, she a bully, who is rude as hell and has friends, no sorry people she bully in every class who does her work, as usual she was wearing those mini skirt and shirt with three buttons opened so that she can look like the hottest girl in our hostel. I and Yuki try our best to ignore her but she somehow meets us coincidentally that’s what she says.
We were just about to enter our class, Bema stuck her leg out and DHAM! Yuki falls on the ground and is hurt very badly. Yuki being Yuki signaled me to avoid the drama. Yuki gave me the expression to keep my cool, but when Bema said, “What do you both think being clumsy and perfect will get you boys attention? Nah you can’t get it because you're not worth it” I couldn’t control my anger and slapped Bema on her face! And guess what, as I slapped her, our homeroom teacher entered our class and saw the drama. She looked so furious at first but seeing Yuki on the floor crying she moved her attention towards Yuki and took her to the doctor’s room. As she came back she gave a furious look to Bema and asked her to meet the principal after the class. Her eyes met mine, she gave a sad, furious and unexpected look to me, like she had not expected this drama from me, I felt guilty and didn’t utter a word in the whole lecture.
As soon as the bell rang, I rushed towards the doctor’s room to check on Yuki. When I entered the room I heard Yuki talking to a guy, I backed myself up to hear them and when I saw Yuki was talking to Kai, so called the hottest guy in our school! I was so happy and all ready to tease her. This feeling of excitement couldn’t stay within me for a little while when I dropped the vase beside me. Yuki and Kai got alerted and sat upright like they were doing nothing. I thought this is the time to enter.
As I entered Yuki took a sigh of relief and shouted at me, “Are you out of your mind? Don’t you know you should not eavesdrop on others!” While she was shouting I could clearly see her cheeks as red as a rose. Shyly Kai slipped out of the room. I made sure Kai is no where around and said, “Cummon girl don’t be shy fill me up with the details” Yuki with blushed cheeks said, “It’s nothing, he had just come before you and asked about my injury, he said that he saw how Bema made me fall down and he was about to stand up but he got a call from teacher.”
“Nothing else happened huh?!” I teased her.
“Nah..No...Nothing...Well...You know the doctor said it’s all okay now, we can move to our class” she replied. I can clearly make out that she was trying to change the topic. So I let her have her space because I knew when the time will be she’ll let me know.
The rest of the day was well, but I could not forget the look of our homeroom teacher when she indirectly said she didn’t expect me to be involved in drama on the very first day of the school, but I feel I was right because my friend was hurt. Today I understood we can't be up to everyone’s expectations. I also didn’t know what this year would bring for me.
