CHAPTER 3 "THE NIGHTMARE"

Kate left after a week

in the Hospital, although she had wanted to leave earlier, she did not

want to be there because the costs were very high, but Magy got in the

way and said no, that she would take care of all that.

After arguing with Magy

regarding the fact that she could not stay so many days in the hospital

because she could not pay for it and understanding that her friend would

not let her out of there until the doctors discharged her, she finally

accepted the help from Magy, but on the condition that Kate would return

all the money to her friend.

Once she was discharged, Kate went to Nadya's apartment, not wanting to be left alone.

More than two weeks have

passed and Kate still does not believe what happened to her that night,

although she tried to return to her normal life, the nightmares at

night have not allowed her to fall asleep so her appearance looks every

time most deplorable.

- "Kate\, how are you?" - Magy asks\, pulling her out of her thoughts.

- "Hi\, I'm fine thank you" - although the truth was that no\, she feels exhausted.

right, but he preferred to focus on his work and try to forget

everything that happened.

- "Okay dear\, take care"

- Magy says goodbye and retires to her office.Since that night Magy had

been more aware of Kate, although although everyone who knew her knew

at least a little, Kate had always been reserved in terms of her

problems and personal things, she almost never talked about such things

with no one, except for Magy on some occasions, but there was only one

person to whom Kate told everything and she was Nadya.

Nadya and Kate work

together at the Hotel and they were also neighbors so almost all the

time they were together, and more since that fateful night.

So much so that Kate had

begun to sleep in Nadya's apartment because at night that black

silhouette tormented her that pressed her until she was breathless.

- "How is your arm still?" - Nadya asks Kate\, while folding some towels.

Kate loved Nadya very

much because for her she was like her sister since she had come to the

City they had been together, they both came from small counties and

although their dreams were not the same, the two aspired to be the best

for the same purpose, to help his family.

Nadya was a short young

woman with a thin complexion, very long black hair, with large hazel

eyes, at first glance she looked like a fragile 16-year-old girl and not

a 22-year-old girl, but it was only her physique, since she was strong

of spirit and had great courage to face problems.

Although in a hand-to-hand fight she would be at a complete disadvantage, but that's what Kate was for.

Unlike Nadya, Kate did

look very good at 22 years old, she was a young woman with medium-tall

hard work she had done since she was a child, although that terrible

night those forces could not help her at all and they abandoned her.

One day Kate decides that it is time to stay at her apartment.

For her there is no

longer any point in staying with Nadya and paying rent for her

apartment, although they had already talked about moving together they

had not done so because the apartments where they lived were really

small and only had one room and just enough space for things of a single

person, but that idea had not been abandoned because they would seek a

better place for both.

After that night, it was

the work of every day, entering Internet pages looking for a new

department, but so far they had not had any luck, all the departments

near their two jobs each had high costs.

As they were

back-to-school dates, many of the young people who entered Midcovia City

Universities had already hoarded the best places to live, so they had

no choice but to keep looking in that same area or looking in more

distant places. taking into account that transportation would be a

disadvantage.

- "Are you sure you want to stay alone?" - Nadya asks with great concern.

behind, don't worry. Nobody will be fine, I'm also right in the next

apartment" - she gives him a hug before get ready to go to your

apartment.

waits until she closes her door to do the same.

For Kate this is the

first time in a month that she has returned to her apartment. He feels

empty and cold, because a long time has passed that no one has given him

the warmth of home.

She decides to take a bath before finishing fixing some things for her work.

Once the shower is over,

Kate looks at her body, she still has marks from that night, including

bruises on her legs, her belly, but above all that huge scar on her left

arm, where she was stabbed.Although it no longer hurts physically, it

hurts in the soul just to see it, because that is one of the marks that

you will have to remember everything that happened to you.

After midnight, she

tries to fall asleep like every night, although it is not easy at all,

after a long time the fatigue of weeks without sleep overcomes her, but

that rest does not last long because during her dreams images of that

night begin to seize his head.

Kate had always had the

same nightmare, a large silhouette that takes her prisoner and does not

let her move, but that night new images begin to emerge, during her

struggle she hears how that silhouette insults her 'bitch' - 'you will

pay for this' - 'You will regret it' and look at one of the arms of the

guy that is on her, in which she visualizes a gold bracelet with a

diamond that glowed in the dark and the letter M.
