Marrionatte Rosemary von Braun.
That was my mother's name.
Beautiful golden curly hair and charming Hazel eyes that would stop men from breathing.
That is how I would describe my mother.
There was not a man that didn't want my mother.
"Now please just sit here and let me check you."
That is why I wasn't surprised at the fact that the first thing that they did was put me into a hospital to check me throughly.
"Hm. He seems to have golden eyes which is a big sign of great Demon Blood flowing through his veins. Was his mother a demon?"
And from what the hospital has suggested. I seem to be a high level pure Blooded demon. I had no idea that was a thing until just now. What a weird world I'm a part of.
"Well our family had a pure demon once in the past but that was so long ago... we have lost all demon traits long ago..."
My greedy aunt just shook her head and I could just grin on the inside.
Good. The reluctance on her face tells me that demon children seem to be hard to take care of. I won't end up in aunts hands.
I'll have to do some research after I get home.
After the funeral there was a "Feast of Grieving" in mine and mother's house. From what I understood from the gossip, it is usually held by the closest family of the deseased.
If the individual is married and/or has children already the feast is held by that family. It is looked down upon the family that holds the fiest for the deceased in the name of the family.
However, I had no father and I was not allowed to go into the house after my mother died.
So in the end it was held by my grandmother and grandfather that I had never met or saw in my whole life.
Later I was put on to lead the Ceremony of saying goodbye to my mother.
Making a 5 year old drink alcohol was the most disgusting thing I saw in a long time.
After drinking they finally started discussing what they will do with me.
Most of the attendees were older people. None of which wanted to take in a young boy whose father is unknown. They saw me as a subject to be ashamed upon.
So the elders decided to attack the young newly married couple.
The wife was a distant cousin of my mother and had a good relationship with her... apparently.
The young couple of course refused, as they had a young baby at home. They didn't want a toddler near the child.
So the suggestion of seeing my health came up.
If I'm sick like my mother, the richest couple will take me in and get help from the country.
Which I don't want.
Through the whole discussion not once was my opinion asked.
"He seems perfectly healthy and well taken care of. May I ask where is the caretaker of this young child. I wish to ask from some advice for my future young demon paitens."
The doctor that was checking my body just put a lolipop in my mouth and pat my head as he looked at my aunt.
"Sadly... my precious niece passed not too long ago..."
She began to weep. Ah such a talent at faking. Must be hard to be such a top notch actor...
I just sucked on my lolipop that tasted like strawberries as my aunt pat my head.
"I'm sorry for your loss. And the little ones father? Is he near here?"
Ah doc. You asked her a wrong question.
"The little ones father is quiet far away. We still haven't heard of him, hohoho!" Avoiding the question won't help your case.
As I was focused on my lolipop a sneaky nurse put in a needle to draw some of my blood. I felt the pain and looked at her at which she just smiled and counted until she was done.
I tried my best not to cry.
"Mama said, that Papa is important!"
To ignore the pain and make sure aunt stays away from the idea of adopting me I decided to speak about my father.
"She says that he looks just like Al!"
The doctor that was focused on my aunt and her crocodile tears, turned to look at me with a bit of surprise.
"Hoo. And do you know your father's name?"
I shook my head but I knew what to use here.
I took out a golden necklace that my mother always kept near her. She always told me
""This is a sign of Papas family, and the sign that he was a great warrior just like you will be in the future!" is what mother always told me."
My aunt that had not heard me speak once yet quickly took the necklace from me and smiled at the doctor.
The doctor looked at my aunt and the spoke to me.
"Can I look at the necklace?"
"Yes! Of course Sir!"
"Thank you."
Shortly after the doctor sent a nurse out and returned with a tall man in black.
