Chapter Two~ Days Run Faster

Two days had already elapsed which meant it was her last day around. She sat in the library reading a book when she heard the knock on the door. "You can come in if you have something important to say, otherwise, speak from out." The maid the door gulped not knowing what to do. Slowly, she pushed the door open and walked in. Syra smiled shutting her book.

"So it's important then?" She placed the book on the table besides her and looked up the lady. She didn't seem familiar at all. Someone new. She smiled imagining how frightened she could be in the new environment. Her face suddenly became serious as the maid looked up. "What's your name?" She looked down at the floor replying immediately. "My name is Gaia."

"Gaia, you must have something important to tell me otherwise you won't interrupt my peace and quiet." She said though it wasn't exactly quiet. There was a ruckus in almost every corner as it was being decorated.

"Y-Yes, the tailor just dropped by and left the dresses you asked for." Syra got up from her seat walking towards the girl: "Did she then." She nodded though it wasn't exactly a question. "Then let's go see it." Gaia lead her to her room pausing at the door. Syra held her hand, stopping her from entering in. "I can handle the rest. These dresses are what I have to leave with to...tomorrow." Although she was glad to finally be escaping her father, she wasn't exactly sure if she wanted to leave. "I pick out one for the coming day and have the rest packed." Gaia nodded before heading off.

She slammed her door shut before examining the dresses on the bed. They all looked beautiful. She stared at the five of the different colors. Black. Blue. Red. Peach and White. She finally chose the peach dress. It would at least bring a good impression because of it's beauty. Gaia came in later taking away the other four.

Syra spent the rest of her time in her room doing nothing but laying in her bed after a taking a bath. Once again, there was a knock on her door. Gaia came in with a tray of food to which she immediately declined. She didn't feel hungry. Maybe it was from the nervousness. Gaia did as told and left with the food.

A few people passed by her hall gossiping about the next day which made her even more nervous. She didn't know what to do so she just kept laying on her bed and listening to the voices outside her bedroom door. She eventually got frustrated. They weren't making her feel any better. She finally covered her head with the sheets on her bed and blocked her ears with her fingers. "Those people are so annoying. Her I am, all nervous, anxious and stressed and there they are making me feel worse." They eventually left but she at least managed to hear a few things  about him him.

1. He was well known.

            2. He lived far away.

            3. He was wealthy.

            4. He was handsome.

She snuggled in her blanket trying to picture how he might have looked but noting came to mind. She was going to find out tomorrow. Her stomach began to hurt and she tossed and turned. She was so nervous she couldn't even sleep. This had already become a problem before they even met. How was she going to deal with all of this and me?
