The day I met you

I remember the first day I met you, like it was yesterday.

You wore a green dress. I remember it clearly because it matched your green eyes. As you danced to that old distasteful music, I remember just being stuck in that moment.

I didn't notice until much later that you had a scar on your pale face, nor did I care.

You Angel genes showed brightly in your platinum pink hair.

It was short and curly. It immediately had my attention.

I was there for a meeting, but at that moment, I forgot about it completely. Your being took away my mind completely.

When I returned back to reality, I was nervous, shaking as we danced together.

"Yeah, to be honest, I was a little creeper out by you. A random kid suddenly approached me as I was dancing with my dad, asking for a dance."

My beautiful wife turned to look at me with a troubled expression. She was sitting in my knees just relaxing eating some orange slices as we watched a movie.

"Your hair was so long too. It was intimidating because you seemed like a noble. Well, you were..."

She leaned more onto my chest with a sigh as she plopped another orange slice into her mouth.

This adoroble creature I was talking to was my wife Hana.

We've been married for 2 millenia.

As the 2 of are of a very special species.

My wife is a half demon - half angel child. A miracle baby that happened between two races should not have been able to reproduce with one another.

Demons and angels don't hate each other. It is more so a difference in culture.

Demons value purity and elegance, while Angles value purity and obedience. Thus, the two clash often in many ways.

Women rights are very different in each of the cultures as well.

Both don't like their women single and working. But that is because Demons have a severe lack of women in their lives. Only 10 women are born in a million babies. Making the demon race an extremely small race in numbers.

While angels just follow God's word. God put women under men, and that is how they are treated.

Thus, my wife is a creation of both. A very rare individual.

An individual who has been through a lot because of her birth.

The scar was made by her own family members, and when we met, her family sold her for the misley 3 I'll horses.

Her biological parents passed when she was very young. After which she was adopted by an elderly couple.

And I?

Well, 2 Millenia ago, I was the 2nd born prince of the Pheonix Royal Family.

I am as pure as a demon can be.

My silver hair and red eyes are a clear sign of that.

On the day I met my wife, I fell in love with her at first sight.

I promptly asked to marry her.

We were married in a weeks time.

The elderly human couple hated and loved me for it.

Because they could pass in peace knowing they finished their duty, but also hated me for taking my wife away right after she hit adulthood.

We were both only 16 at the time.

Born a few months from each other.

After marriage, my family found out about my wives family. They didn't like that I married a halfie.

So they cut me off from their lives.

They often told me that if I didn't divorce my wife, I would not be welcome back.

But was promptly accepted back only 100 years later.

They needed my abilities as the second son.

Since then, my family has transformed, from a royal family, into a mafia.

That seemed like the best way to stay in power and earn money while being undercover. Keeping our demon identity a secret, and Angels keeping theirs, was the most important secret ever.

If humans found out about a whole society living under their nose, they would exterminate us in one day.

As anything unusual to humans must be eliminated.

That is why in today's year, 20XX. Demons and angels are nothing but myths. Many rumors about each race were created long ago to stop humans from finding out the truth.

"Do you have to go to work tomorrow?"

My wife popped another orange piece in her mouth and looked at me.

"Yes, why? My father needed some help with the paperwork."

I answered, peeling another orange for her with a smile.

"Well, I don't wanna be alone at home every day." - Hana (I will add their names to help understand who's speaking)

"Nothing I can do about it, Hon. Didn't you say there was this cafe you liked recently? You could go there." -Ren

"It's been 5 years already, so I can't... if I continue going, they'll notice my lack of againg..." -Hana

She let out a sad sigh.

"Then how about I call in late tomorrow, and we eat breakfast together tomorrow?" -Ren

She still looked disappointed but also happier than she was a moment ago. She gave me a hug and then a kiss. She seemed satisfied with my recommendation.

We finished the movie.

"Aren't you eating a lot of citrusy fruits recently?" -Ren

I looked at her as she was cutting up some lemons to eat with sugar.

"Am I? I've been craving so many lately..." -Hana

"You want some?" -Hana

Before I could even deny the offer, she had already brought me a plate of lemons covered in sugar.

"They help me sleep." She smiled as she took a big bite of one of the lemon slices.

"Should we get a pet?"

She asked as we were getting ready for bed in our small bedroom.

"A pet?" -Ren

"Mmm, I feel like I'll feel less lonely if we had a dog or a cat or a bunny." -Hana

"I mean, sure, we can look at some shelters tomorrow as we go back from breakfast." -Ren

This made her very happy. As we fell asleep hugging throughout the night.
