Remarkable Assassin

Remarkable Assassin

1- Life to Death, Reborn

A life like this is just not what I wanted. I may just collapse in a second if nothing good happens. Why am I actually like this? Where did I go wrong?

Back then I was the top ranked assassin, and yet now. Really, you can't let your guard down. Even though you're successful, nature won't let you be what you want. Nature always makes its way so as to challenge you. As for me, I quit even without trying.

Tomorrow I'm turning ninety two but I feel like I won't be staying any longer. It feels like I'm dying. If only there's a next life. I would totally be the best assassin that everyone likes. Compared to my current situation, I am all alone. No family, no friends, no children, no lover, nothing, I'm filled with empty darkness. So I'm hoping there is a next life for me. I feel dizzy. Maybe I just have to take a little nap.

Laying down on the ground, under the strong heat of the sun. Had thought it’s the end of my life, but a bright light appeared calling a name that I'm not familiar with. As I opened my eyes, a young girl was crying and begging for me to wake up. As she was so loud weeping that I blocked her mouth with my hand. She raises her head and jumps to hug me. I couldn't move, I was a bit shocked. But, how did this girl know me? And, how then do I end up being in the middle of a forest?

We're back into "my family's" house. But I'm still confused. How did I end up here? Am I actually reincarnated or something?

As far as I know, I am Cycris Dé Ferlan. The first daughter of Dé Ferlan's Family. A family of hunters.

At that time in the forest, I was actually being trained by Edmond Dé Ferlan, my father. But a wild boar appeared behind me. Ended up being tossed by father as to be saved.

It's been a month since I transmigrated to another world. No, maybe I'm in the same world but in a different era.

People here seem to have a strong faith in god. I walked on a long street the other day and noticed that people here sought to revitalize their culture. What's more is that in every distance you took you could see people's artistic works and enjoy all sorts of entertainment. But the main struggle was day to day survival, in a sense like modern families who live from paycheck to paycheck or homeless people who live from the rummaging of the day. Fathers had to ensure security while mothers had to sit back and listen to their orders. I've seen nuns teaching the power of looking to the past for insights and inspiration in dealing with today's issues. By looking to the past for guidance today, not only can we find potential sources of answers, but also ways to address current challenges that previous societies have faced.

Humanists in this era sought to create a citizenry able to speak and write with eloquence and clarity, thus capable of engaging in the civic life of their communities and persuading others to virtuous and prudent actions.

To think that some aristocrats could build a mansion that's as big as two villages combined. But the villagers were the ones to suffer great losses, it just pissed me off.

"A new target unleashed"

March 19. I'm lacking in strength so I decided to go along with my father and hunt for a big prey. It's a bit difficult for me to move since I wasn't used to the body I'm into. Climbing trees should be a good way to practice since assassins must be good at acrobatic moves. Calculating distance of a prey and distance to make the trap should enhance my mental skills.

March 31. My practice routine seemed to have some improvement since I can now move swiftly. Climbing trees is a piece of cake. In addition, I can move from one tree to another.

April 2. It's my mother's birthday. My sister Mathua was planning on something and asked me to go buy some things with her. She planned on giving our mother Silvarine a precious gift but all we could see in stores isn't that kind of a precious thing. And so my sister discovered a place where she could buy some glimmering stones and ask me to go along with her. We both took steps to enter that place. It was a café for sweets. Muthua was kind of disappointed since the location she received wasn't a shop or something but a café for sweets instead. So as not to waste our time going to the café I sat down and sighed and ordered two strawberry parfait. And thank goodness she likes it. But it feels like they're all watching us. Muthua fainted and I was so late to realize that the parfait was drugged, I actually put my guard down and so a stranger covered my head with a sack. I can't breathe, I was suffocating, I lost consciousness.

The day they removed the sack on my head, I was actually in an abandoned place where a hundred children were in. I feel the coldness and fear on every child's weep.

One criminal was laughing while walking towards the young boy crying and slitting his neck as he was annoyed by it's whine but it was also a way of him saying that if any of us dares to plan on escaping he wouldn't hesitate to kill. The boy on my side was so terrified that he wet his pants. Muthua was in a deep trance, I could clearly see that she was so scared that she was freezing. I could only cover her eyes to calm her down. I clenched my fist and could only grit my teeth, I don't have a plan.
