“Hey, Ava. Wake up, we're late.” I hear a voice say, I groan, “It’s too early.” I hear a laugh, “No, we are 15 minutes late for first period.” I jump up and bump my head on the car ceiling. I run out, and slam the door closed. “Hey wait for me, I’m late too.” I stop, “Sorry Gabi.” I grab his hand. “C’mon I don't want to be late.
After school, I walk down the street by myself. Headphones on, and BTS blasting in them. I look down at my phone, “Persona, who the hel-oof.” I bump into someone, I slowly take off my headphones. “I am sorry hon-bun.” I frowned, “I ain't your hun-bun.” the man laughed,
“But it's the way I talk.”
“Well I am sorry Toby, I don't like the way you speak.
“My name isn't Toby. Why do you say that's my name?”
“Sorry dude, you look like a Toby to me. But if your name isn't Toby, then what is your name?”
“It's Gen, what about you, hun?
“It's Avia, Avia Morove.”
“So Ms. Avia, why did you tell me your last name. What if I was a stalker and now I had your last name.”
“Good catch. Then tell me yours.”
“I dont have one.”
I nod. Why doesn't he have one? Is he an orphan who was never adopted? I signal him to follow me. He nods. I lead him towards a boba shop. “Hey, can I get 2 green tea boba.” The counter lady nods. “So where are you from?” I ask Gen. “I’m from Argentina, Israel, Germany, Chile, Egypt, and Korea. Well, my dad is from everything I said, and my mom is from Korea.” I laugh, “Wow, no wonder you have good looks.” I remember about Jungkook when I look at him, except a taller, skinnier, wider eyes version of him “And I am from here, the US, and Mexico. My dad is American and my mom was Mexican.” I continued, but he frowned.
“What do you mean ‘was’?”
“Well, my mom died 2 yea-”
“Excuse me, Ms. your boba’s are ready.”
I look up to see that the lady is looking at me. “Well, here. Take it. The boba.” he nods, taking it. He sips and smiles, “This is good, well I have to go.” he says. I nod, “Yeah me too, my...step-moth-someone is waiting for me. Bye.” He waved and turned around. I wave back towards his back. Well, it's good to know that no one is waiting for me.
*Special Bonus because why not and i’m bored*
*Gen’s P.O.V*
I remember how it felt to feel the despair of someone. It happens everyday...well not everyday. Well, yes everyday. But I'm not the one who takes charge. Only a few times. 835 times in my life. But never this much. I saw what she saw. The car. I followed her. I saw her cry in the night by herself in her room, all alone. I felt great guilt, because no one was there but I could have been there but we didn't even know each other at the time. No, wait, let me rephrase, she did not know me back then. I knew everything about her. I called the H.O.G and they asked me if I was helping. I said, “Yes, well I will because I really haven't gotten the chance.” I could sense them frown, “Yes, okay. You better help her tomorrow.” The next day I filled her heart with the feeling of love after her friend said all cheesy stuff, so it could seem natural. (You might be thinking: This is boring. Well guess what, it's the authors fault, she is bored. And she needs to get 500 words written so she decided to write this bonus. Let's continue though) I know it is weird but I had to call her “hun bun” in order to start a conversation. Do you ever meet those people who talk to you and you just realize that you get along with them after they just talk and you respond? Well it was like that. Sort of. But we got along just well. And by the end I had this feeling that I never had, at all. I didn't know what it was, and I still don't know. I think it is something called ‘Joy’.
