BAD INNOCENT
In prison...
Third person's point of view...
A day had come, another person who was convicted of a crime finally will step out. It was a sunny day, not too crowded outside but likely in a can of sardines once you entered inside. Thus, unpleasant smells were scattered, which will stain your body with its reek.
"Ms. Zehn, you are free now." – informed the officer. The door opened and a slim little girl stands, she's wearing a black leather hood that looks glued on her body for a decade. Her face was covered by some strips of her hair in front but her unemotional looks can be seen. Her skin was unscathed, hiding but secretly can kill.
She never tolerates anyone nor forgives them for whatever people do. She has no mercy at all. "Good then!" – she conceited while rising her arms, made a bone resonance. Feel tired from sitting all these months no one dares to bother her anyway. She was thankful, however, not so delighted because she's still enjoying her life inside than the world outside. After all, she does not have a plan for what she will do after she got out.
Her jail mates envy her so much as she always gets back and forth in the cell. "Hey, Eins! Your father bail you again! What a lovely father you have!" – one of her jail mates said. Wishing they have the life of Eins, spoiled and brat.
Looking at her jail mates, they all seem skeptical of her life. "Though they are all blessed than me! Too much greediness can harm people, will change your attitudes towards others. It sucks!" - she thought. The policeman unlocked her chain finally, her discharge may stand as her new page.
"Hays… if I can just have a father like him…" – Lili sighed, another mate of her. They know Eins for almost years. At first, they bully her, underestimate her but it's gone when they saw how ruthless she is.
It happened when the boss in the cell was taking her as a little girl. The boss was sentenced as the most freakish assassin, one of the most top-five wanted. They think Eins was convicted because she steals something or what. Eins didn't like to explain herself to people or at least speak to them. The boss felt humiliated, so he ordered all prisoners to bully her day and night. She just ignores them, didn't give them a single glance. Then, many of them throw litter at her. Some of them ordered her to clean the toilet and clean their mess. To give her food to them, play with them, and so on. They bully her without even thinking of what kind of person she is. What more, is she never complained, neither cry nor got mad. She let them do what they want.
Not until one thing made her enraged. When the boss suddenly spoke about her mother, whereas she hates to talk about it ever since. Her tarrying in the cell becomes long-drawn because she killed the boss. In just one snap, they witnessed how appalling a person could turn into, and that is how it ended. She became the new boss that no one dared to provoke.
However, she was only studying when she's inside the box. She still keeps herself busy with it. No time for talking nonsense or doing something without interest. "Tsk! Good for you!" – Eins sarcastically replied.
Eins Zehn is a meticulous girl regarding closing to a person. She hates being surrounded by people even, no matter how introverted or extroverted they are. She gets easily irritated and annoyed by something that bothers her. But, on the other side, she's troublesome though required on her secret job.
Her personality is not who she was before. She's not only kind and lovely, but she also took the title of being a role model in her childhood. She's clumsy yet likes to fight for good. She's wise and always an honor student. She's good at everything. But, not all series of the world hinder. She changed.
"Finally! I was out again haha…" – she murmurs while stretching her arms, showing that she is tired from being jailed for almost five months. The sun gazes at her as if she was born again. The cold breeze slowly touches her but, she didn't even feel it. She's cooler than the cold itself.
"Eins! Aren't you bored enough?! How many times you got jailed ha?! How many times should I waste my money, my time on you?! Can't you stop being stubborn?! You did it on purpose, I know! But please, aren't you sick of it??? Why you're doing this repeatedly?!" – her father greeted as soon as she was out on the cage.
Her feelings faded away when she heard a familiar voice. "Wow, I guess I should go back inside…" – she then turned herself going back to the prison. She picks on to her father out of something we don't know, for how many times?
"Eins!!!!" – he shouted as if they are all alone. People stare, starting to collect stories, as always. They are still unused to it. Eins were the ones who appear faulty. They think that she's truant and idle, enjoying life without concern.
"Come back here! Do you choose to be in prison instead of talking to your father?! My goodness Eins! You're old enough so stop making a fuss! Be reasonable at least!" – he suddenly can't control his anger after a long break of restraining. Not only five months to count.
Eins forcefully look at her father when she finally realizes that nature is getting peculiar. "What a blabbermouth!" - she said. "Dear, please… I am sorry for being a bad father to you all this time after your mom died but please I am just doing what is best for you!" – the sounds of bitterness escapes coming through his throats.
Her insensitive enthusiasm suddenly changes as she heard something that makes her evil even more. "Stop talking about mom! Because of your selfishness, she died! You're such a useless husband of her! So don't you ever speak her name again old jigger! And don't expect that years can forget everything about the past, I'll never let you go! Remember that! I'll make you and everyone who makes my mother dead pay a hundred folds. Just you wait!".
At last, she still can't move on about the past that happened several years ago. What has come to pass imprinted her life which creates a feud between her and her father.
"No Eins! You don't understand… I know I'm selfish, thinking only about myself but believe me, I never like it either! No one likes it to happen. Trust me! I and your mom are –" – she halted him before it was about to finish.
"Shut up! I told you not to say her name!!! Urgghhh…Stop pretending! I know the truth! Everyone has their reasons, building it up just to make excuses not to pay for what they did and so you are! I hate you! You, shameless old jigger!" – and she then, raise her middle finger to her father, calling him an old jigger.
Mr. Chard shouted in anger, "What did you say?!". He is a well-known politician. He never fails to help the poor and beggars as if he were born to be a hero of the helpless century. However, behind his kindness, there was someone who appears blindly and opposed his right deeds, her daughter.
She rolled her eyes, smirked yet unseen to her face. "Didn't you hear it? Should I repeat it?" – she teased sarcastically. Behaving like this was eaten by her aberration.
"Take back what you said! Don't you forget I am still your dad!" – 'if I could just bring back the past…maybe' – he thought. His feelings still shattered out of years that he moved on.
Eins smile bitterly looking at him, and said "I wish I forget…" – her last words before she could eventually escape. For the very first time since that day, she smiled again even only in an intensely cold degree.
Mr. Chard left dumbfounded. Seeing his daughter in that situation makes him broken than that day his wife died. A drop of tears came out of his eyes, slowly running down on his veins. He wishes to make everything back to normal. Sinister intercept!
"How impudent!" – someone uttered out of nowhere. Breaking the moment he has so he wipes his tears at once. Too old to be seen crying.
When he came back, in reality, he noticed that he's in the middle of the throng. "My gosh, what kind of daughter she is?" – added by that someone's companion. Therewith, he walked out with a shamefaced.
"So nasty!" – another person stated, who knows who might will they be?
Eins didn't take full leave yet. "Well, Judgement is everywhere… As expected from the people…" – she shook her head, thinking that people are all insane. Then, she examines the places. Planning to escape from her father because she doesn't want to go home again. It's the reformatory she hopes not to remember, not even once. As she walks through, she finally saw her luck on the way.
_______
"Ow Mr. Chard, your daughter is something." – Chief RC approached. One of the policemen was used to Eins record. The records that whoever reads will be shocked, that no one will believe that she is a killer of the 21st Century.
"Yeah, I wonder why she is not like you at all Sir! She seems to hate you so much." – P.O. Justis cut in. He looks concerned. For him, Eins is the blessing that came from Heaven in their station tho she comes into sight devilishly. Many turmoils happened in the past in their station. Eins arrival makes everyone disciplined and makes defendants behave their selves, not to do any upheavals.
He just let out a deep sigh. Even how many times he talks to his daughter, nothing will change so he did not bother it again for the ninth time. "She has been through a lot; I can't blame her." – his words are full of resentment, still while looking at Eins from afar.
His entire grimace sated that he was thirsty for the love of her daughter. "She has grown up already. I wonder what she looks like without her hood, my daughter..." He was full of hopes that everything will be alright as soon as his daughter give him a chance to make it up to her. The day will come that she will be back in her life. He will do anything for the sake of Eins.
"You're such a good father!" - they exclaimed. Not curious about the past between the father and the daughter. Even ask, they dare not to. The two policemen furrowed their forehead when they saw Eins hoof around. "What she's up to?" - they think of. Then, the three kept talking while looking at her while she was heading somewhere she doesn't know yet where to go.
"Sh*t!" – she suddenly cursed out of the blue after she remembers that she has no home to go back to, no cars and money as well. Fortunately, she saw someone smoking not so far from the police station. She walks closer to the man. Put her jacket cover out, comb her hair using her fingers, and then smiled. Trying to be an angel for her self-indulgence.
The man was busy scrolling his eyes on his phone, sucking a stick of cigarette on his fingers in between. "Hey buddy, what type of cigarette is that?" – she asked politely, acting cute and sweet. She is indeed up to something.
"Here I am, the world's endangered human species silently living in Angel's soul." - she grinned. Wherever she heads to, the danger awaits.
