HER ONLY FRIEND

Third person's point of view…

Eins neglected what other thoughts about her. She looks at the phone, and it's unlocked. Then, she started to text someone, the guy he knows. She decided not to call him because she doesn't want to speak. Luckily, she still remembers his number.

While the waiter keeps staring at her, He smiles when he remembers what Eins said to him. He cannot believe that someone will tell him such a thing that makes him inspired in that short period. He then, back to his work in a self-assured way and expresses faith in himself.

Eins sometimes is solicitude towards other matters. She cares about every little thing she noticed, only if people are worth fighting. She will not hesitate to concede to everyone's point of view. It was just disappointing that no one appreciated good over unfavorable circumstances.

She then tasted the first spoon of macaroni salad, her favorite. Suddenly, a tall guy with blonde hair and green eyes enters and became the center of attention instantly. So, girls started to scream and make fancy of him as he walks through searching for someone. "Who he is?" - someone said. She almost shouted in exhilaration, not minding she is in a public area.

"OMG! He is so elegant!" - his appearance creates an explosion in all girl's hearts except for Eins. Eins didn't even take a look at him. She remains quiet, eating still and not wondering why customers suddenly outroar. Probably, because she already knew who it was.

But girls got disappointed when this guy sits up beside the girl in the hood. "Aww… he sits on that bitch's table!" - a girl uttered. It was hard for them to understand why. Eins shook her head, as expected of her springtime doubled her reflexes.

"Are they in a relationship?" - someone raised her eyebrows in disbelief. How could a woman like her will be close to the so-called 'almost perfect guys, she thought?

Many of them squeal. "My gosh… he's so handsome to be that girl's boyfriend!" Eins is stunning as well as the guy who just came yet they are yelling out of jealousy. Is this how the world judge? Too unfair an individual's prestige!

"What a pity! He has bad taste!" - another lady with thick red lips rolled her eyes and shouted in anger. Only those who want to be the center of attention will be the loser in seeking it.

Eins can't stop overhearing them. She begins to be irritated. "Haha...did I mistook this place for a zoo? Just, animals are cute! How come these species ranting like a fool?!"

Consequently, the guy didn't bother to listen to their unacceptable behavior. It has no meaning at all for him. Instead, he was eager to talk to his best friend.

"Hey Eins! Long time no see! What's up?" - he greeted very enthusiastically. Like it was a decade ago the last time they talk. Same previously, he didn't surprise by her looks. He was used to it as time passes through the years.

From the look of Eins, she didn't bother at all and continued eating her salad. "Yeah…" – she replied coldly, then eat again. While those girls are still watching, and they just get annoyed with what they saw.

The guy laughs heavily and complains, "Yeah? Seriously? It's been 5 months and yet you will just say yeah? At least say that you miss me!"

"Tsk!" – she just twirled her eyes. The guy always loses expectations when it comes to her but is still baffled out of nothing. "Sighed…you still haven't changed! Anyway, where have you been lately? Why did you suddenly text me after dumping me that night?!" – he blurted out.

"Where else? In prison as always, you still haven't changed man, still not used to where I stayed!" She mimics the voice of her friend, trying to tease him without a sense of merriment.

Eins inner side is still alive, existing in peace as time goes by. Never let anyone hear what she hides, her dreams that break apart.

The guy winced. "So, you just got released?" – he asked and, she nodded. Explaining herself will make her gassy and will just make an excuse to reason out.

She glances at the window again. She saw people walking around in different directions. Many of them go to the right, and some of them go to the left. Here she is again, wondering all over to examine with the mind where she will go like them. It keeps running! Her insights were traveling, why, when, and how will it stop?

Her thoughts were interrupted when his guy friend intervenes. "Then why do call me here?" Though he was a little dissatisfied with how Eins treat him as a friend, no more than that, he is still thankful that Eins didn't forget about his existence. To all people she knows, it was this guy who she just calls upon whenever she needs something to back up. She let this guy befriend her for the second time even though she wants to live alone.

She hates when she's diminishing her pride but still does it for the sake of her only friend. "Tsk! I need you! I have no money to pay, and no home as well. Of course, I will call you. Dreizhen, who do you think I can rely upon except myself man?"

Dreizhen, that is his name. He is the only friend she can trust ever since she was a child. They are childhood buddies that are so close together and already expected their faith to be wife and husband. Again for the same reason, Eins came in distance from Dreizhen because of her past wherein made her deranged. She suffered from something no one knows.

Despite the fact that Dreizhen is her only friend, she still doesn't dare to share what has happened to her in the past, when she disappeared. "You're so rude! Only call me when you needed me! But whenever I need you, you are nowhere to be found! Why life is so unfair!" – he tries to act like his core is aching. Poor Dreizhen!

"Enough…you, poor dog of mine…" – she taunted without smiling a bit. Eins is a wise girl, and she decides her destiny. She relies on herself, sometimes on Dreizhen, and sometimes on her secret job.

Speaking of her secret job, not so long ago, she was kidnapped. She's a little kid back in that time. It was a dark shady night. She cried and yelled. She calls her father's name, her mother's name, and her friend's name. She's trying to seek help but, no one came to rescue her.

She kept shouting and hoping that at least someone will come to save her. When days are passing, she begins to dazzle out of her consciousness. She is hallucinating! There were no food, no water, and even those who kidnapped her were nowhere to be found nor hanging around. She can't move because her body was tied up with sharp blades. One move and she will die. That is the first time she cursed as well.

After a long wait, a man showed up. The man offers her a hand and makes her see the world's truth which is still leashed in human beings' view. Her sweetness vanished, and she trained. Her childhood was devoured by her unforgettable experiences, which made her lifestyle change.

Though she has a tough life, she still keeps moving forward because for her there are still things that need to be done. There are still things she demands to settle back that night of the incident, things she will never forget in her entire life.

Waiting is her current plan because more is yet to come. If it hasn't happened before, could it be she was who was here in the hood? Will, she was not able to collude with that man?

Going back to their conversation, Dreizhen said, "Ouch…I'm a dog now?! What the hell is wrong with your eyes?", forging his voice into a pity state, and he may seem exasperated but, deep inside, he is grateful that he is with Eins again after a long time. He misses Eins.

Meanwhile, the waiter, even doing his work can not stop pondering about Eins, especially about what she has spoken to him. He took a glance at her for the third time, he was amazed by her looks.

Anon, looks at her but, Eins was looking at him also. He panics immediately but, she made a sign like calling him. Presumably, because she is done, using his phone.

"I thought, I would have a chance! Hays… unbelievable of me! Why would she like me if I am poor?! Haha…I'm getting too much ahead of me! This is crazy!" – he deemed while he is walking toward the girl.

His hands are trembling. He's nervous. "Uhmmm…do you need anything ma'am?" – he asked without looking at her because he was frozen, seems like that!

"He must be flush! Anyway, I am almost as handsome as he is." – he said to his mind. Boosting his self-esteem, maybe he can be more confident at work.

Eins bites the last spoon first before she handed the phone to the waiter. She didn't say thanks at all. The waiter feels a little abashed because of that. But then,

"Hand over!" – Eins landed her palm towards Dreizhen, asking him to bring out what she had asked when she texted him. Dreizhen just flapped his head and felt like mourning in spoiling her.

However, Dreizen sips a glass of water before he handed over the money to Eins together with a new phone.

Eins glared at him because it was her water but, then she also sips water from it. "Ohhh, Eins… I took a sip there! Did we kiss indirectly?" – he kidded, trying to lure her. But Eins didn't answer him instead...

"My tip." – she gave the payment to the waiter including the new phone. The waiter was stunned and looks confused but with an inability to accept this situation. Improbable for him!

Eins stands up and begins to walk to go outward. "Am I just got ignored? -_-" – Dreizhen thought when he was left there.

"Hey Eins! We had an indirect kiss! You should be responsible!" - they heard Dreizhen, making the customers and staff stagger. However, the waiter still looks surprised, and he did not expect that would happen! It is something that no one will foresee befall.

While a surprising silence came from the customers and other waiters. Well, who knows would think it ended up like this. "Responsible for my foot! Stop spouting nonsense! You're so annoying!" - she just rolled her eyes, the usual.

"Hmph! I will never forget it! You need to be responsible!" - Dreizhen keep whining, and he didn't stop until they get in the car.

Eins just let out a deep sigh. Finally, she can rest. "Tsk! Whatever." - she's worn to quarrel with Dreizhen's non-stop noise.

"Eins…is it hard to say that you miss me? You're so ruthless yet I'm still in love with you. When will you be able to notice?" - this is what he wants to say but fret strikes before he could even speak that. Hopeless guy!

Still, he didn't stop making a fuss just to retain her talking to him. "No matter what, you'll be responsible to me!" - he yelled while starting the car.

"Just drive!" - irritation comes out and made her shout. Dreizhen stopped suddenly. He's scared that he might get hurt again like the last time he teased Eins. Eins smirked slightly and then closes her eyes, went to sleep, and neglect her friend Dreizhen.

She may have appeared in an uncompromisingly forthright way but, she never destroyed someone's life not unless she was doing her secret job. As for what she became like that, knowing the answer will just make you in danger!
