CHAPTER 4: THE ENCOUNTER

"This is my son, Rayyan."

"It's quite impossible for not knowing him,Harris! You could hear his name in this industry very often."

"I hope it's for a good things"

"Of course! What do you take your son for? He's known for his capabilities to survive in this world and he really famous for his professionalism. He even threatened to sue Will when that boy pranks him by showing a fake documents!"

"Rayyan did that? To his only childhood friend?"

"It's Will's fault for playing around during work. He deserved it!"

Rayyan silently sighed. His father and his friend, David Bantley are having fun by gossiping about him in front of him! What's with the cheap acting,'This is my son,Rayyan'He known uncle David since the day he was born!'What kind of torture is this?' He glanced around the hall. There are about 30 guests in the hall, having fun by talking to each other while eating and trying to widen up their connections with these rich people.

Slowly, Rayyan walks away from his father and uncle David. They're still talking about uncle David's stupid son, Will.

Rayyan and Will are childhood friends since their fathers are best friends. But,that guy is a real pain in the ***. Last month,Will brought a document that said the share of Smith Hotel was sold to someone. He was shocked because he is the biggest share holder of Smith Hotel. He totally freaked out and just snatched the document from Will. He nearly called the police when he saw his signature in the document to accuse for document falsification. When Rayyan turned to Will,that idiot already bursted out laughing and rolling on the floor. And then he knew it was a prank! He just approached that idiot and stepped on Will with his leather shoes. 'That guy should be grateful that I did not choke him to death that day!'

He smiled at a middle-aged man that was looking at him and approaches him. Well, business is business. You need to take this chance to know others. "Good evening, Mr. Arthur. Good to see you here." He shakes his hands with the muscular businessman. Even though he wears the mask,Rayyan still recognised him. That's what you need in this business world.

"What a great event you have here,Mr. Smith. It's an honour to be here." Mr Arthur praised the elegant party. The hall is decorated with gold and silver as the theme. It indeed looks mesmerising. He looks at the young CEO with a smile," And you looks so good tonight with the mask."

Rayyan chuckled." You need to say it to Mrs Jane Smith. She wat the one who excitedly planned through the party. I completely has no saying in this matter since she did not allowed me to interfere her plan." ' Because she kept the masquerade theme as a secret from me.' He continued in his mind. But, it's true that the party was planned very well. As expected from his mother.

"What a great relationship you have!" Mr. Arthur smiled. He fixes his light brown mask while his eyes watches some couple dance in the middle of the hall.

" Do you come here alone? I didn't see you wife or your secretary." Rayyan asks. The man was spending his time talking with his friends since the first time he arrived.

"Oh, I came with my two sons. They came with different car. They arrived later than me, I guess?" Mr Arthur glanced around the hall." Ah, it's my youngest son, Daniel." He points at a tall man with a fair skin, a blonde hair and a green eyes." He is the only one who will inherit my company,you know? It's a relief that he is so reliable even if he is the youngest of three."

"The only one? What about the others?" Rayyan was curious. Well,he also the one who takes over the company even though he is the youngest of two. It's because Richard is not interested at all to manage the legacy. But,out of three only one that is willing to inherit the company?

Mrs Arthur smiled. Rayyan's question is quite common. It's understandable, though. " My first son is not interested in business world at all. He once ran away from home when I wanted to bring him to the company only for a sightseeing. It seemed that he really hate it. So, I allowed him to chase his own dream instead. And now,he is a writer. I totally fine with it since he looks happy when writing and he is doing quite well with his books." He laughed. He is not that cruel to force his son." And my second son....it seems that he is not interested to take over the company. But interested to start his own company instead." He giggled at Rayyan's confused face." It's not in the same field though. My company serves in financial services industry but his company involves in IT."

"Wait a minute, I might be wrong but it's KYLETECH, right? Your son's company?" Rayyan scratches his neck. He found the company about months ago." The company is quite well-known. Looks like all your sons are doing well, Mr Arthur."

Mr. Arthur feels happy and proud when the young  capable CEO praised his children. He loves his sons so much even though themselves are quite a troublemakers. Suddenly, his name is called from behind. Rayyan and Mr Arthur both look at a middle-aged man with a grey hair."Oh, Henry!"Mr Arthur smiled looking at his friend.

"I may excuse myself,then. Have a good time, Mr Arthur, Mr Henry." Feeling like he is intruder,he bowed and left the pair. He walked out of the hall,feeling a bit sweaty. He enters the garden. Well, it's his house. Of course he knows better. He sits at one of the gazebos. He shuts his eyes. Somehow,he feels restless and has been sweating nonstop. Trying to distract himself,he takes his phone out.

"Man,that garden is big as hell!"

" Stop it! You're acting like a kid! It's not like you never seen a garden that big." Feeling annoyed by his brother's loud voice, Daniel walks faster to leave Kyle behind.

"Oh gosh, you're so serious! Calm down! It's just a party. It's not like you will meet your lover here." Kyle fixes his suit while trying to catch up with his brother.

"Oh my, I thought that my mouth is going to tear from smiling too much" Kyle complains while walking around the garden. He sneaked out of the party even though his father already told him to stay in the party to the end. He was enjoying the view of the roses when he heard a voice. It is from a gazebo near him.

Kyle peeked from his place and he saw a man in a black suit and a black mask sitting in the gazebo. He silently lets a sigh of relief.' Thanks god it wasn't a ghost. But,who is he talking to? I mean, who's that?'

" I think I need to grow up some mustache or beard to look manly. But, I hardly have hair on my body. So,it seems impossible to have beard. Hmmm, maybe I furrows my eyebrows to look stern and scary. Like this?"

Kyle nearly lets out a big laugh when he discovered that the man was talking to himself. He closely stared into a mirror while talking to himself.' Man,the things he said was hilarious!' That boy was talking that he almost has no hair on his body in the public. Kyle glanced at the boy once again. The boy is busy furrowing his thin nicely shaped eyebrows to look manlier.' God,he only looks cuter that way!'

Rayyan is trying to make his eyebrows looks thicker. Because of his thin eyebrows,he doesn't look that scary.' A thicker eyebrows may work'. He suddenly feels dizzy and he lost all his strength. He collapsed in the floor of the gazebo.

Rayyan with his little strength tried to sit.' Ah, is it my heat? No wonder I felt restless all day.' Then,he reminded that the hall is full of Alpha. He's lucky that the gazebo he chose is the farthest one from the hall out of five gazebos. He checked his pocket.'Shit, I didn't bring my suppressants. Ah, I'm done.'

Suddenly, a man in a grey suit and a silver mask comes out of nowhere." Hey,are you okay? You suddenly..." His noisy chattering stops." This smell..."

Rayyan's face becomes pale. Shoot,he didn't think it is this fast an Alpha will find him. It was like a minute since he collapsed." What do you mean? Where do you come from?" He tries to act tough even though he was shivering all over.' Who's this?'

'Wah,this guy quite a stubborn. He was shaking but tried to scare others.' Kyle approaches the man. 'But,man. His scent is crazy.' The man flinches when he takes a step closer. Kyle feels sorry for him." Are you okay? I can call someone that could help you. I will get some help,so wait for me here." He tried to leave the gazebo,but a shaking hand stops him.

"No, don't! I don't want to make a scene about an Omega in heat during a party. Just leave me alone and it will go away!" Rayyan desperately hold Kyle's suit. He doesn't want to destroy others' fun with his 'little' incident.

"But,look! You're shivering! Maybe it's a cold!" Kyle slowly reaches out his hand to touch Rayyan's forehead.

"Ahnn!"

Kyle jerks his hand away. What's that? Whose voice is that? Is it really this boy's voice? He stared at the Omega. His face flushed red,his black hair is a mess and his eyes is teary. His suit also untidy,his tie is nowhere to found and his shirt is unbuttoned. 'Man, this is a delicious view.'

"You shit! What are you staring at?"

'Man,this guy is unbelievable.' Kyle sighed. He takes of his jacket. The boy stared a hole at him as a precaution,scared that the Alpha might attack him.

Kyle takes a step forward and as he puts the jacket on the Omega,a man in a black suit and a black mask grabs the Omega and pulls him in a hug. Kyle startled by the sudden arrival of the man.

The unknown man glared hard at Kyle before stared at the poor Omega."Are you okay?" A soft voice asks the boy.

"I'm fine. Just takes me home." Rayyan struggles with his words as the heat gets stronger. He snuggles to the unknown man as he hugs Rayyan tighter and carries him in a bridal style.

Kyle watches the two. The unknown man looks like he's close to the Omega. The Omega looks peaceful in those arms.

The unknown man stared lovingly at the Omega before he kissed the Omega's forehead. He glared at Kyle with a proud look. He satisfied with Kyle's shocked face. He cleared his throat after giving the Alpha a 'drama'." It seems that my dear troubles you a lot. Thanks a lot for being a human being." He said sarcastically.

Kyle flinched. My dear? The omega already has a mate? No, it's impossible since he could smell the Omega's heat. If they're mated, there's no one could smell it except his pair." Oh, no problem. I hope he will be fine. It looks painful."

"He will be fine. Don't worry. I will be going then. Thanks once again." The unknown man thanked the Alpha with a monotone voice.

Kyle watches as the man carries the Omega bridal style. Then ,he realizes that them both wear the same mask. Seriously, what's their relationship? His heart aches remembering when the man kissed the Omega.'Are he trying to show off or something? He's so irritating! Well,at least they're not mated.'

Rayyan sits at the gazebo. The identity of the Omega and the shitty unknown man remain a mystery. Since they're wearing mask.'Damn, masquerade party!' He takes a deep breath. It's been a long time since he was this fired up about this kind of thing.' I swear I will learn the Omega's identity!'
