Unforgettable Past

Hi there! I'm Elliot Annesley, a 22 years old young lady. My life has always been paved with adversities and my bad fortune starts from the very first day I was born. Yes, you read it right. My parents abandoned me on the streets of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

*Flashback*

I was of 2 years when Mr. and Mrs. Annesley adopted me as they were an infertile couple. We were actually quite a happy family of three until four years later they had a daughter and as usual I was disdained. They started to treat me as more like a tool for their daughter to play with, but I had been playing the role of a Good Child, until the day when Ella (their daughter) attempted to push me down the stairs.

After that incident when I tried to tell my foster parents about what she did to me they comsidered me as accusing her. They no more needed me as when i fell down the stairs I injured one of my eyes badly and lost my one sight. So, simply i wasn't able to help the household chores as much I did before. They saw me as a burden and an eyesore since the day Ella came into their life.

My Foster Father deliberately wanted me to sweep away from their happy family and thus he asked me to sign the "Parent-child separation" documents when I turned 18!

Nevertheless I was not weeping and begging them not to leave me but somehow I felt that now I can be what I really am. I don't have to be what they prefer! Maybe that's what called "freedom".

*While I was leaving their house with my belongings*

Mom (Mrs. Annesley) :  Elliot? You're leaving so early? Where will you go? With that small job of yours and your sight.....How will you live?

Elliot : Mom ya'all don't need to worry about me. I will find my shelter.

Mom : Let me ask your dad for hel....

Elliot : *smirking*    "DAD"? Huh! Where was your concern when he was driving me away from the family? You think I don't know about you'd always secretly bought gifts for Ella, you think I will not know you always took her to amusement parks while I stayed at home doing her homework? What I got after doing all that? You just came and simply said "Elliot you're my good child"!!

Mom : ...... Ella I'm sorry for all the negligence....

Elliot : I don't need your apology mom! If you can...Could you just call me "My good child" again? For this once and last? Please Mom?

*Tears rolled down her cheeks but deep down I knew that ultimately she too never considered me as her own blood.*

Mom : My....Good chil....Child....!

She continued sobbing while I dashed out of my room in a hurry as I knew that if I'd stayed there for longer.....I may not fell like leaving.

4 years later....

The sky was cloudy today as if it will rain at any moment but the air was humid so I didn't take umbrella while I was heading towards my office. Yeah! I've been living my life well after cutting off all ties with Annesley's but I didn't change my surname though.

While I was waiting for the cab and was running late, my phone rang....

*Ringing....*

A very known contact flashed on my phone screen which says..."Amilia♥️".
