Final Boyfriend

Dear diary,

Today is my 5th year together with my boyfriend. I never thought this relationship would last so long, at first I thought it would end in 2 weeks.

Today, he asked me out on a date. He took me to a fancy restaurant... But it seems he didn't do much research because when we got there the restaurant was full and the employee says that we have to book first or we'll have to wait 45 minutes.

Anyway, we ended up eating at another restaurant near there. After eating, he was planning to take me to the cinema.. but unfortunately, it started to rain heavily so we got no choice but go back and continue our date at home.

When I saw his flustered face, it was so cute I wanted to squeeze his cheek. Fortunately I could control myself.

We-

"Are you busy?", a small sound sounded behind me.

"No, what is it?"

"I'm sorry... It was our first date in a while yet I ruined it..."

"It's..."

Wait, what should I say? 'It's okay'? 'It's fine, I still enjoyed it'? I really hate this. Everytime. I don't know how to respond. Why do I have to be bad at talking? I can't seem to find the right words to answer everytime.

"...hug...."

A voice interrupted my thoughts.

"...What did you say?", I asked.

"..I still did work hard planning the date... so can I have a hug....please?"

"...Don't look at me with those puppy eyes"

"Please?" he asked again

Aghh he's so cute! But what should I do now? Say fine? Okay? No?

"I'm busy." Wait no, I wasn't supposed to say that though?? How do I fix this??

"But you just said you're not." This time, not a puppy eyes that is looking at me. But a firm eyes

I feel guilty but... "I just remembered I got some work left to do." I have to continue it, I can't bring my self to tell him I misspoke. It will be too embarrasing.

"Then I'll hug you from behind! I promise it won't disturb you working!"

"..Fine" I don't have anymore excuses, and it's not like I refuse to hug in the first place anyway.

I closed my diary and opened my laptop, continuing my "work".

"hehe" A hand hugged me from behind, and I can't help but tense a little. I hope he doesn't noticed it.
