Let’s be friends

"Am sure you don't want another suspension Aisling.." principal Bolt was saying.

“But. She started it.” I mumbled.

With my head down. Not saying any more words.

“More reasons you should avoid her.”

He exhaled and lean back in his easy chair.

"Few months and you'll be leaving high school..."

"She doesn't come to school, doesn't do any assignment, her notebooks are never up to date..yet she's always having the highest score in each exam. I don't understand, but with her attitude Getting admitted into college would be difficult." Miss patty butted in. She followed me into the principal's office, talking about a witch you know. He didn't even wait till the new student was seated comfortably if he likes the seat or not. If he needed a change.

She was just so focused on me, seeing me getting into trouble every time, she kinda likes it when I'm scared or suspended.

I still don't understand too, I don't need to read I've hardly do read, except Mrs lane end up forcing me to, but I never failed an exam I wrote.

"Am not talking about that miss patty."

Miss patty shrugged and looked away from us. I glare at her. Out of the corner of my eyes.

He could have sent her out of the room.

I hissed.

She wasn't wrong when she said I wasn't good with my studies, I don't have the time to read any of the subjects, I'm too busy for her to understand.

"You should stay away from your first class today. Take a break.”

I only nodded and walked out of the office. But Slightly shoving ms patty aside with my shoulders.

Her jaw dropped, as she stare at me, I eyed her and walked out fully.

“What a bad girl!”

I heard I cried to principal Bolt.

Stupid woman.

****

I sat down in the library placing my head on the desk. With an iPod plug on my both ears. There was a book on the desk, not like I could ever read them. With my closed eyes, I saw those grey eyes. And the mask.

I opened them.

What was the about, why was I seeing the face of the bastard, who stole from me? That mogul!

If I ever sight my eyes on him.

I'll slice his throat.

I wouldn't have been in school, but maybe on a vacation somewhere.

The chair was drawn back and someone sat on it. I lifted my head immediately. Who dares interrupt me, no one seat with me, except Marie and she's in class. Who was this mogul!

Taking the looks of the person sitting in front of me. I stare up and down to be sure I wasn't mistaken, maybe I was seeing the wrong face.

I looked up and down again. I was still seeing the same face. I rubbed my eyes to be sure.

But he was still there, staring at me with an amusing look.

"Andre."

My jaw was ajar as I stare at him. Andre Anderson. Right in front of me, he was staring at me, unbelievable. I almost laughed.

"Hey, Aisling."

He smiled.

Those smiles are worth dying for.

He knew my name, what is this, why was he here? Shouldn't he be in class?

What if he's here to mock you, he's always beside Carly remember, she couldn't have sent him, there's no need to get all giddy yet.

Hey Aisling."

I was drooling. Staring down at him.

Did he just call me? Andre Anderson the most popular guy in school was calling my name.

He's So handsome.

I hadn't thought he would ever talk to me.

He snapped his fingers in front of me.

"Down to earth girl."

I blinked and looked away. Wiping my mouth.

I embarrassed myself.

"I wanted to talk to you about.."

"About what."

I quickly chipped in.

He chuckles slightly.

"It's about a party on Friday. I want you to come."

At a party, I was invited to a party among the celebrities at school.

Me.

But why?

"I want you to be there." He emphasized.

"But why?"

"So you can prove to Carly you had nothing to do with Charisma's attempt at murder."

“How I'm going to prove that, how does it make any sense, me going to the party and then proving my innocence to them.”

“If you go to the party, you get a chance of meeting some of the popular guys in school who can get to help you with the case, you can get to meet them. Through this party, I’ll introduce you to them.”

I studied him.

That was a good point but I had never been invited to any of those parties. He was part of the popular guys in school, he could help me with it. But I was confused.

I don’t know if the party could help, I doubt if it would, I wasn’t prone to begging for help from others who could easily be trampled on you. I hated them. People like Carly, if I was gonna prove my innocence I wouldn’t go begging them to help me, I would prove it my way.

“You’re not saying anything.”

“Still thinking about it.”

“Aisling, I want to be friends with you, I like how you stood on your own, and be you. I like that about you, that’s why I want to help too, I want to help you prove your innocence, that you’ve got nothing to do with Charisma attempt murder.”

I was forcing myself not to smile but couldn’t help it. The smile on my face broadens so wide. I never thought I could smile that much with anyone aside from Marie.

“I’m not gonna force you, I’ll give you time to think about it.”

“Thank you, Andre.”

“But when I ask next, I hope you would accept me as your friend. And partner.”

I couldn’t help but blush, the one guy I had a crush on was talking to me and wanted to be friends, why wouldn’t I be friends with him.

He’s Andre Anderson for crying out loud.

Handsome basketball players.
