CHAPTER 2 THE OATH OF REVENGE

After a long period of silence there burst a loud laughter piercing the wind and breaking the silence and Angelina replied “Hahaha! Granny you almost got me there. Wow! your acting have improved since the last time. I almost believed it haahaahaa.”

At that moment, Angelina laughed so hard that she was moved to tears, she could not believe what she had heard, she simply thought that it was a joke.

But after the loud echoing laugh of the ignorant girl, the entire hall again move to a dead silence and so as to avoid the moment of silence Angelina looked up and saw granny’s and butler Mo’s face and after seeing their melancholy face, she finally started to get what was actually happening but she still denied to believe it.

“It ...it... it is a prank right?” said Angelina in a low whisper, hardly audible.

There was no response, it was just as she was the last person on the Earth, alone, scared and screaming hoarse but there was no one to answer her question at the very moment filled with terror.

“Granny, butler Mo you...you are just scaring me because I didn’t came to meet you all for all these years. Right? I swear that I won’t ever do that again, please for god’s sake tell me that it’s a joke.”

Her entire body was trembling with fear, yet she summoned up her courage to speak, her voice was not even properly audible, every single word of her was shaking and there was a glimpse of terror in her melancholy voice.

Butler Mo replied “young miss, I have investigated it. There was an anonymous scheme of transfer of the Corporation’s shares but it failed. So as to catch the culprit red handed Mr. And Mrs. Fin left the z country immediately and on their way there, they met a mishap and their plane exploded above the Pacific Ocean. The plane was exploded into pieces of chunks, scattered everywhere and their bodies were nowhere to be found.

As a result the investigation was closed and the rescue team was retreated concluding that all the passengers of the flight were dead.”

Angelina was sitting in the sofa crying miserably from inside, tears were rolling down her cheeks endlessly but there was no voice coming out from her larynx.

Granny said “I got the information from my secret sources that the string puller behind the crises of the Fin Corporation 5 years ago and this incident is”

Angelina interrupted “is my uncle.”

Granny was shocked and said “WHAT! How did you know that?”

“I knew it would happen sooner or later but never would have expected that it would be this soon” replied Angelina.

Granny shook Angelina’s shoulder rashly and asked “tell me Angelina, have you known it all along, did your parents told you about it before you went to France?

No, but how is it possible we discussed it thoroughly and to protect you they decided to hide it from you and sent you to France cutting off all their connections with you so that he won’t be able to reach you. But then how did you know about?”

“I heard about all these stuffs in that secret meeting held 5 years ago by coincidence, that’s why I never denied to sign that contract between us and thereafter never tried to contact anyone from the Z city.” replied Angelina

Grandma hugged Angelina and said “I am sorry we didn’t wanted you to know about it as you were still a kid back then and it would harm you but we never knew that you already knew about it. You must have felt terrible knowing everything but was still unable to do anything."

"But still, my dear, at this time, it may sound a little selfish to you but I want you to take over the Fin Corporation as soon as possible.” pushing Angelina away gently as she ended speaking.

Angelina passed a gentle smile looking affectionately at granny though her eyes were filled with tears and said “Don’t worry granny I have always hoped for the best but prepared for the worst. Not only would I take back what belongs to me but also avenge my parents.”

“I would help you with everything be it the inheritance or the revenge” said granny in a vicious yet well principled order.

Angelina restlessly stood up and spoke up in an irritated way as she were a completely different person ........

“Thank you but NOO It’s my revenge and I would take it on my own.”

Granny was shocked to see her ferocious attitude, her face was just as innocent and pathetic as a fallen angel but at that time those black starry eyes filled with regret and hatred were not something to be neglected, the atmosphere became so cramped that, granny and Butler Mo started to feel a sense of oppression and could not utter a single word.

“You have tortured my parents to death, but since you didn’t kill me up till now, I swear I would make you regret being born in this world.”

Her eyes turned red filled with tears, but there was no sign of terror in them; her nose turned red too; her delicate and scarlet coloured lips were trembling because, to hold her terrifying scream she bit them until they started to bleed and she continued ......

“You have had enjoyed yourself enough, but now it’s my turn ....

I waited for 5 years because I believe that....

"REVENGE IS THE DISH BEST SERVE COLD."
