Episode 2: Survival

"It has been 2 days in this forest but I can't even find anything to eat, at this rate I'm going to be dead before I even find food. The fact that I never learned about this forest makes it even creepier I wish I could just go back to my first life." (Distant Growls) "What the heck was that!? No wait was that a wolf? Because of my previous life I played many games, including one that used sounds from actual wolves so that's definitely a wolf. But from the sound I can tell there must be at least 50 or even more of them and their heading my direction. WHAT SHOULD I DO!? Wait I'll have to climb one of these trees, that's my only choice to survive but just how am I suppose to climb a tree with no grip? Wait are those knifes laying there? That's convenient, I'll use them to climb this tree. It's working I'm almost at the top." (Growls Coming Closer) "No! No! No! I might die at this rate I'm almost out of stamina just climbing this tree at least I'm almost at the top, Yes! I'm alive!" (Wolves running past the tree) "Wow, it's amazing these Wolves have horns!? But they look very creepy.. But I still have a problem how am I suppose to survive!? DAMMIT! I'm actually going to die this time. Am I crying? Maybe I should have been nicer to my mother in my first life, I was so disrespectful I guess this is my karma. Is that a fruit!? I want to eat it but I don't even know if it's poisonous, well whatever if I don't eat it I'm going to die anyways. What the heck it tasted so horrible I want to puke,"

2 weeks later

"It has been 2 weeks now and I've learned how to fish with my hands because there's no other source of protein I can easily catch, and I've also been walking forward with this river because if I go to far from this river I might lose my way. The reason I'm following this river is because humans live next to rivers for an easy water supply, thanks to my previous life for giving me this knowledge I also eat fruits on the trees because of their nutrients. Although they taste horrible I've gotten use to them. And while I walk I use both my knifes to practice combat, unfortunately my feet are worn out from the consistent walking. I'll need to find a clinic, what am I even thinking this world doesn't have clini.. I'm suddenly tired.." (Thud) "Where is this place? (Door opens) "Who's this kid?" Lai: Who are you? Kid: I'm Hasu, nice to meet ya! "What's with this kids smirk?" Lai: Hey kid where is this place? Hasu: Hey don't call me kid were basically the same age! Anyways this is my fathers extra room. "This person has no ears, so his human? Well I should probably leave as soon as possible. I heard they sometimes treat demi-humans and afterwards force them to be a slave, well mostly in unknown places." Man: I see your finally awake. "Oh no! Am I going to be forced to do labor!?" Man: Don't be stressed I won't force you to work for me or anything. "How did he know what I was thinking!?" Lai: H-how d-did y-you know what I- Man: It's better to talk when you feel more comfortable. "Man after witnessing my parents die I seem to have a fear of adults, DAMMIT. Why did it have to be me!?" Man: Hasu! Come with me I have to talk to you for a bit! Hasu: Okay dad coming! Man: Son this boy seems to have trauma when I'm around so I will ask you to help him slowly get over his trauma. Hasu: How do I do that? Man: you are my son if he trusts you he will definitely open up to me and if he opens up to me I can help him. Hasu: Dad, is he going to be okay? Man: How he is now it seems we can still help him with his trauma, spend only 2 weeks with him and he will eventually lose his trauma. Hasu: I'll do my best!

The next day

Hasu: Hey wanna play outside!? "What the heck I was sleeping and suddenly heard this kid scream." Lai: Sure I guess. "Did I seriously just accept this kids offer to play?" Hasu: Yes! Come with me! Lai :I'm coming! (Door opens to the outside) Lai: Hasu why are there no houses? Hasu: Well only me and my dad live here in this forest, he said that he doesn't like other people. "Why wouldn't his dad like other people?" Lai: I just realized but why do you have a bow? Hasu: Well were going hunting! "I thought he wanted to play? What the heck I don't understand kids!" Lai: Okay lets do it!

Later

Lai: Hey hasu, have you even used that bow before? Hasu: Of course I have my dad taught me! Lai:Your dad taught you? Hasu: Shh there's a rabbit. "I want to see his skills, I also used a bow a lot in my first life I did archery, and was best but got an injury to my arm. Everytime I pulled my arm back it went into pain" Hasu: Darn I missed.. "His not bad for his age he almost hit the rabbit, infact he shot it so fast the rabbit didn't even realize an arrow went past it." Hasu: How about you give it a try? Lai: Oh okay then, this is going to be easy! Hasu: What's with that smirk? Lai: No nothing, nothing at all. "Okay all I have to do is concentrate, pull back gently, hold, aim and SHOOT!" Lai: Yes! I did it! "I'm so glad this body has no pain" Hasu: Wow you're incredible!
