Episode 2-Aries

(JENNIFER'S POV)

Aries huh?

And what’s wrong with him? He didn’t tell me that he is my ex-boyfriend.

Pfft…

“Do I look like a fool to you?”

“Huh?”

“Why didn’t you tell me that you are my ex-boyfriend?” I glared at him

“Ahh..that” He smiled nervously

“What? You did something bad to me?” I spat at him

“You…you don’t remember?”

“No” I shook my head

“Then don’t remember it”

“Tell me”

“It’s better if you don’t remember” he smiled and continues walking towards my bedroom.

I kept quiet because I know that if I continue to pry, he still wouldn’t tell me or he would probably lie to me.

‘This system is useless. It doesn’t even give me a scenario of how we met, and the reason why we broke up. I am really frustrated.’

“Here we are. You should probably take a rest. I will leave for today. I will be back tomorrow.” He said and bends down to kiss my cheek.

I turned my head away and kick him in the balls.

‘Hah! Serves you right although I didn’t know what happen but you shouldn’t kiss me even when you are my ex.”

‘Punishment? Hah! Like I care.’

Before leaving to go in to my room, I kicked him once again on his leg. I rushed into the room and quickly locked the door behind me.

Suddenly a fluffy dog jumped on me and made me fall on my back.

“Ouch! Whose dog is this?!”

“…..”

‘No reply? It’s not mine right?’

I held it up and look at its gender.

“Ahh..a male doggie eh? What are you doing in my room huh?”

The dog wags its tail and licks my cheek. It is wearing a diamond collar with a name carved on it but I couldn’t see it clearly because it keeps licking me.

“Let me see your name cutie.” I giggled pulled away from the dog.

‘Max’

“What is little Max doing here?” I looked at him cutely

“I am a prop created by The System to help you” he speaks in a manly voice.

“So, you can speak?! Then why don’t you speak just now?”

“I can only speak when you summon me by calling out my name or…” he looked away shyly.

“Or what?”

“Or when you kiss me” he whispered

“Hahaha…Are you serious?!” I laughed at him

He nodded.

“Something is definitely wrong with this system.” I said seriously and looked at him.

“No, it’s because sometimes it might be inconvenient for you to call out to me to get information. So, you can kiss me instead” He explained.

“You can help me get any information?”

“Yes. Any information that does not break the rules is allowed.”

“Then tell me. What the hell happened to this person and Mr. Damien out there?”

“Damien and you are a couple before this. Both of you have been dating for one month until Yuri came back from overseas. She is friend with Damien since they were kid. After she came back, she has been hanging out with the both of you everywhere she goes but you didn’t like it. During a party, you shouted and said that Yuri is a bit*h and wanted to take Damien away from you. Damien did not want to make a fuss and said that Yuri wasn’t that kind of girl and he loves you very much so you don’t need to think about her taking him away from you because he would never leave you. But, you didn’t want to believe everything and ended the relationship right away. Damien has been visiting you this past few days to get you back.”

“Then, can I get any information about the horoscope?”

“Yes, but it is only limited information. You might have to find out yourself about other details”

“Then tell me about Aries”

“Aries. They like to explore things that are challenging. They are very sweet and passionate to the person they love but when they hate a person, they are known to be heartless. They also don’t have a good temper. That is all provided by the system.”

“Alright. That is enough for now. Let the mission begin tomorrow.” I smiled to myself.

The next morning, Jennifer woke up extra early to get herself prepared. She asked the maid to dress her up in a simple white dress and light make up. She didn’t want to look like a girl who had just come out of a bar. A knock on the door wake he up from her daydream.

“ Miss, Duke Damien is here again” the maid said nervously

‘She seemed troubled. Is it because she is scared of that Duke or is it because of me? Whatever.’

“Take me to him”

The maid brought Jennifer to a garden and left. The garden was surrounded with beautiful flowers. Jennifer looked around but did not saw the person she wants to see the most right now. She wanted to end the mission quickly and go back to her world. She still has work that she didn’t manage to finish because she kept playing this game.

“Where is this rude guy? Telling people to take me here and yet disappeared without informing.”

Jennifer turned around to walk away but she came in contact with a muscular chest. The guy pulled her into a hug and embraced her tightly. She struggled to pull away but the person did not move an inch. She gave up and stood there, inhaling his scent.

‘Lavender huh?’

“ What are you doing?” She asked coldly at the person who was still hugging her like a teddy bear

“It’s been so long since I hugged you. Let me stay like this for a few minutes”

He pleaded. Jennifer feels that this guy is quite bad to treat his girlfriend like this but it was not entirely his fault because the ‘real Jennifer’ should have privately talk to him about it rather than in public because it would damage his and her own reputation. In this Season, Jennifer did not know much about the Yuri character because usually she is the one who is playing the Yuri character. So, she is not sure how this Yuri will act in this season. She will just have to see it when time comes.

“Do you miss me?” He asked

“No.”

“Why?”

“No reason. If you don’t have anything to ask or say. Then let me go.”

“I am sorry”

“For what? For being an as*hole who doesn’t protect his own girlfriend?”

“You know that’s not what I mean”

“ I don’t know what you are talking about”

“Jenny. I know you hate me now but I want to clarify to you that I will never love Yuri. Not now or in the future.”

“You might not love her but she loves you”

“That’s her problem but I will tell her to stop loving me if you don’t like it okay?”

“No. That’s fine. I don’t like you anyway. You can go and date her.”

“Why are you being so stubborn Jenny? You act like you don’t remember me anymore and don’t love me anymore. What’s wrong with you? Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?

He finally pulled away from Jennifer and looked at her. She pushed his hand away harshly. That’s when she noticed the interest bar number changed.

Then, she realized that when she first saw him, his interest bar starts from 0% which means that he doesn’t actually love her but he pretended to love her.

‘Why does he need to do that?’

Although after completing the system mission, the interest bar increased to 10%, it still dropped quickly. Now, she needed to figure out his real intention and quickly increase his interest.

“Do you know why I broke up with you?”

“Because of Yuri? You know we can..”

“No. It’s because I know why you got close to me.”

“Hah..wh-what do you mean?” He stuttered nervously.

“Ahh…I mean I know your real intention of getting close to me. I know you didn’t love me but you didn’t have to do this to me. Someone already told me that you get close to me because you want that thing from me but I didn’t want to believe them. I only believe you.” I faked cry

“I-I-I didn’t get close to you because of the crystal. I swear. I really love you. You have to believe me! Those people are just trying to destroy our relationship because they don’t want me to protect you from them.”

‘Gotcha! What crystal though?’

“Really? You didn’t lie to me?”

“Ahh..Of course I wouldn’t lie to you.”

“Okay. Then I believe you.”

Damien sighed in relief. Jennifer quickly wiped her fake tears and hugged him.

‘Time to begin the real show’ she smirked

In the afternoon, both Damien and Jennifer went out together, hand-in-hand. It was Jennifer’s idea. She told Damien that she wants everyone to know that they are back together and Yuri should know her place. Damien agreed with her because he didn’t want her to think that he likes Yuri.

Actually, Damien didn’t like Yuri. He knows what Yuri did behind his back and what she said to scare Jennifer away but he didn’t want to meddle in their business and create a fuss because Yuri is a princess and he wants the crystal that Jennifer has. The crystal he is after is known to be a crystal that could revive a human to become an immortal. There is only two of it in this world. One was in an unknown place and the other one was with Jennifer. He wanted it for his secret lover who was bedridden after she was poisoned. Although he has used his money elsewhere to find the other one, he didn’t want to waste his time waiting.

“Are you hungry?” She smiled cutely at him

“Yea..We should go eat something”

When they arrives the restaurant, they saw Yuri sitting alone and drinking her tea with a few guards standing behind her. The two of them abruptly stopped their track. Yuri looked up at them and waved at them happily.

“You guys got back together? I am so happy for both of you!” She exclaimed loudly and walked towards Damien and Jennifer.

‘She seemed nice and kind though?’

“Yes I guess we are” Jennifer smiled politely and showing her their hands that were held together tightly with no intention of letting go.

She tensed up but didn’t back down.

“Ahh.. I am sure you guys love each other. I was worried that you guys broke up because of me.” She said while sobbing loudly

‘Ahh…so you are playing the innocent card?’

“Oh..no.. Don’t cry. I am really sorry for what happened that day. The reason we fought was definitely NOT because of you. So, you don’t need to worry at all. Even if we fight again, I will assure princess that it will NOT involve you. Okay princess?” Jennifer smiled widely and patted her head.

“b..but everybody heard you saying that I am a bit*h” she retorted back

“Oh my..no princess..the word ‘bit*h’ is what we usually use for female dogs. I think princess has beautiful eyes like a dog\, so I told Damien that you were a bit*h but Damien said you are not beautiful at all. So\, I scolded him and said that. I really think you are beautiful princess..like a dog.” Jennifer smiled innocently

“Y-y-you!”

“ Princess? Are you angry because I said you are beautiful? Oh no..what have I done. I am really sorry princess. Please don’t kill me. I won’t say that your are beautiful again.” She cried (A/N:fake)

“Everyone listen. From now on, no one is allowed to say that the princess is beautiful because the princess will be upset. Understood?” Damien announced.

‘Why did he help me?’

Jennifer looked up at him and he smirked slightly at her.
