Collision

Wither was so dead. She gasped as she read the time on the clock next to her and scrambled out of bed and ran to the bathroom. With no time for a leisurly long bath, she took a quick shower and brushed her teeth at the same time.

She jumoed out the shower nearly tripping on the slippery floor, and hurriedly got dressed into an appropriate outfit for work, white long-sleeve blouse with a brown plaid skirt with black mesh leggings underneath and a white shoulder bag.

Wither grabbed her bag, phone and keys and dashed out the door and locked her apartment door.

Minutes later she was at the door of the elevator, impatiently waiting for the doors to open. A familiar bell rang came from the elevator and Wither ran into it as soon as its doors opened. She punched the lowest button on the side and rocked on the heels of her feet.

When the doors opened she jogged out to the lobby of the apartment and out the main doors. If she had to function she had to get some coffee but she already could feel the scolding from her boss.

Screw it, she needs her coffee. To save time she dialed up the coffee shop she buys from and orders a basic coffe for pickup.

The bustling crowded sidewalk starts to get more congested as the time for rush hour begins. People bump her shoulder and dont stop to apologise, carried away by the crowd. She doesn't mind, she wouldn't apologise too. Wither approached the doors of the shop and quickly went to fetch her drink and payed for it.

Now she can really begin to hurry. The reason she walks to work is because she almost always avoids rush hour and is conveniently close to her apartment.

With the hot drink in her hand, she tries to focus for any sounds coming from her bag in case her boss phones in.

She occasionally takes a sip of the drink and flinches from the heat to her tounge. Her hand reached for her phone and skimmed her messages and previous calls as she walked through the crowds of people.

Just then she collided into a solid frame and stumbled. The hot drink in her hand spilled onto the chest of a tall man whose hand reached for her and helped her regain balance. She took a second to process what happened and her eyes widened at her coffe now staining a white and black tuxedo.

"I am so so sorry sir, I did not see you and I thought I was walking just fine, oh look at your shirt, here let me help clean it a little." her words came out in a rush and she scrambled for tissues in her bag and thouroughly started wiping down the length of the man.

He hadn't a second to say anything because she blabbered on about how sorry she was and how he must've gotten burned from how hot the coffe was. "No no please don't be sorry, accidents happen, allow me to help you ma'am." his voice was low but audible, his hand reached for her hand and continued to dab onto himself as he flinched slightly at the burning sensation.

For the first time she looked up at the man and silently gasped.

Time stopped at this moment. The crowds of people seemed to be muted.

He was gorgeous. Peppery dark hair framed his olive skin and his eyes a calm brown. She didn't notice she stopped until he looked at her.

Their eyes met and electricity shocked into their veins but none of them flinched.

She was stunning. Short dark wavy hair drapped her brown skin and her bright lips agape with her light brown eyes wide staring at him.

The two slowly fell back and the man cleared his throat, "Im Victor, im sorry for the inconvenience but I really must be going." his tone apologetic.

Wither composed herself and nodded, "Im Wither, and im sorry too, and late." He smiled and turned away blending back into the crowd.

Wither sighed and then realised she was going to be fired and shuffled back in the crowd.
