Episode 4: Agreement

"You?" We both said at the same time with our eyes wide.

"You two know each other?" My mom asked looking at us back and forth. I looked back at her and when I was about to say something to her he broke in, "Yes, we met the other day by coincidence." He politely said but didn't even smile.

"Oh that's good." His mother said with a happy tone. Zeian looked at me and give me a signed to follow him. I looked at my parents and his and give him an eye to let him know that I can't leave.

"Mom, can I take her?" He asks and I looked at him worried. 'Why would he asks her?' I sighed.

"Yes, sure, dear. You two have fun." His mom shoo us to go and I awkwardly get my butt up and follow him behind. As we reached outside, he stopped on his track turning around, look at me.

"I'm sorry." He apologized.

"Humm?" I am confused. Why would he apologize?

"I'm sorry I drag you here with me. It might be awkward for you." He said as he turn around.

"Yeah it's a little bit awkward but I come on my own following you. You didn't drag me. So, it's fine." I said waving my hand.

"I want to ask you about this engagement thing. What do you think about it? If you don't mind telling me." He asked. I look at him with silence. I see it. His eyes...he has someone he likes and that he wants to know my opinion in this.

"I don't think anything about this. It's just six month agreement. It will be over soon. You don't have to worried about this." I said. He let out a sigh of relief.

"I'm glad." He said.

"You have someone you like, I assume?" I asked and he stopped in whatever he was doing. He looked at me with how-do-you-know look.

"I can see the worries in your eyes. You really don't have to worry about it. We can pretend like we didn't know each other at school. Sound's good?" I suggested.

"You sure you can do that? I mean you are new and you might probably need someone with you." He said. He's right but I did fine on my own when I was in my previous school.

"I'll be fine. I did fine on my own at my previous school so I'm sure it won't be any different." I said.

"Okay then. Thank you for understanding." He said and I nod my head without saying anything. I walked back inside to my parents and didn't see them.

"Where are my parents?" I asked his mother as soon as I reached the living room.

"They already went home. Come, follow me. I will show you to your room." She gestured her hand and I followed with my luggage in my hand.

Just few steps and she stop in front of a room.

"Here, your room." She said. "I'll leave you to it. You can adjust whatever you like. Rest as much as you want. If you need any help ask me or you can ask Zeian. His room is right in front of your room." She continued and I nod my head.

"Thank you Mrs." I thank her with a smile and she nod as she walked away.

I closed the door behind me and walked around the room. The room is perfectly prepared. I don't need to do anything. I place my luggage beside the bed and take a seat. "Phew! It's just me and my luggage now." I said as I laid on the bed.

Knock knock..

"Huh? Since when did I fall asleep?" I said as I get up from the bed.

"Did I wake you up?" He asked and I shake my head.

"No, you didn't." I said.

"Your hair.." he pointed and I realized my hair is a mess due to sleep. I mentally slap my forehead as it's embarrassing to let people see me like this.

"Do you need anything?" I sternly ask. I don't want to show my embarrassment.

"We're having a dinner soon so my mom sent me to get you." He said and I nod.

"I'll be right there." I said as I slammed the door in his face.

"That was embarrassing." I quietly said and hurriedly get my luggage to get change. I walk to the dinner room as soon as I get change.

"You are here! Come take a seat." Mrs. Young said. I walked and took a seat opposite of her.

"I don't know what you like so I made spicy seafood." She said. "Zeian! Hurry and come seat." She called out to his son.

"Wow! It looks good already. Can I take a bite now?" I politely asks and she nod.

"Thanks for the food." I said happily.

"The way I look at it, seafood might be your favorite." She said.

"Oh yes, I love anything as long as it's food but seafoods are my favorite." I said as I keep stuffing food in my mouth.

"Be careful or you'll ch——." Before she could finish her sentence I'm already chocking with my foods. I slapped my chest as I can't breath.

"Here.." he gave me a glass of water and I took it.

"Are you okay?" He asked  and I nod my head as a reply.

"Do you need more water?" Mrs. Young asked.

"No, I'm fine now. Thank you." I said. "Where is Mr. Young?" I asked. "I didn't see him around so I was wondering where he is." I continued. As I finished asking I hear the table slam with a cup. I turn to look at the sound. It was Zeian. He's shaking and his hand clenching on the cup he was slamming.

"Zeian, calm down." His mother said. I look at the both of them back at forth with a confused look. Wondering where I went wrong. Did I ask something I shouldn't ask?

Zeian quickly get up from his chair and push the chair back as he storm to his room.

"Did I say something wrong?" I asked with a worried look.

"No, hon. You didn't. Zeian's dad left us. It was when he was young. It is a sensitive topic for Zeian and that's why he acted that way. I'm sorry." She apologized.

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't know. I am the one who should apologize. I meddle too much. I shouldn't have ask at the first place." I said.

"No, you don't have to apologize. You didn't know." She said.
