Bounded
Your POV
''Stop moving! You almost look pretty!'' My little sister argued with me as she tried to put on eyeliner on her older sister, as known as you.
''How are you and Mike doing?'' She suddenly asked you. You knew this day would come since she loved Mike. Your ex-boyfriend. Your nine-year-old little sister Jeana always used to get excited when I told her Mike would visit. The moment the door would open, she would be ready to jump into his arms and hug the life out of him.
Your eyes began to sting from the upcoming tears. Thinking back to the time you both fought, about the harsh words exchanged, your little sister stopped immediately by putting on the eyeliner. She put it down and quickly threw herself against you, wrapping her tiny arms around your neck.
''Are you okay?'' She asked you, every word dripping with worry. That made your vision blur even more, and you did not want to start crying right now. No, I should tell her.
You slowly pulled away from your little sister before wiping your tears. Mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow were all smudged on your sleeve. You looked at your mirror next to the both of you, and it looked like you'd
been crying for days.
''Mike is not coming back. He decided to move on with his life and so do I.'' You told her. She sighed and started putting every back into her tiny pink make-up bag.
''Boys are stupid anyway. You deserve better.'' She replied, and you couldn't help but laugh. Even though she was still nine, she was a very smart girl. You stood up and decided to make yourself ready for your internship at the largest, well-known hospital in New York. Bloomingdale.
As you made your way to the bathroom, you suddenly heard unfamiliar laughter coming from your parents' bedroom.
Making your way to your parent's bedroom, the woman's laughter got louder every time you inched closer to the door. Reaching out for the door handle, you did not hesitate a second before pushing open the door.
To your biggest nightmare, there was your father, laying with your mothers' best friend still in position.
“No, honey. This is not what it looks li-'' Before he could finish his sentence, I already had slammed the door shut in front of me. The things you felt, were unexplainable. Your hands were shaking. Uncontrollably shaking.
Trying to regain your composure, you just made yourself ready and got out of the house.
...
Twenty minutes have passed, and your father hasn't stopped calling and texting you since then. You've called your mother in the meanwhile and told her what happened. You've never heard her scream and cry like that on the phone before, It broke your heart. Your heart broke so much for her because you couldn't imagine what she was going through at the moment.
No, I should focus now on what I've always dreamt of becoming. Someone who can change people's lives for the better. This is what I've dreamt of doing, and I'm not letting myself fall into the depth of darkness right now. No time for that.
Readjusting yourself and taking a deep breath, you finally reached your destination. Upon arrival, you looked at the name of the hospital, spelling out ''Bloomingdale''.* I hope these two years go well. I cannot mess up.*
Walking up the stairs, you took in the beautiful place in front of you. You were greeted by the janitor that was busy cleaning the windows as you walked into the building. You've never seen such a beautiful and modern hospital as Bloomingdale before.
''Ah, you must be Y/n Garcia. We have been expecting you.'' Someone suddenly said while chewing gum obnoxiously loud in between. Walking up to the secretary who I think had called out to me, she looked me up and down before eyeing her computer and start typing on her keyboard. She must be the one who called out to me, since her mouth kept opening and closing like a cow chewing on hay.
The sound, I just wanna- no Y/n. This is your first day. Don't mess it up by saying something you know nothing will bring you any good. Calm down.
''Mrs. Garcia? You've been assigned to room 4. There will the other interns and your supervisor be waiting for you. You can take the stairs or the elevator. Good luck on your first day.'' The secretary stated before turning her back on you to talk to the other secretaries.
''Thanks.'' You mumble before looking for the elevator. At this point, you didn't know where you had to look till the janitor from earlier walked up to you.
''Hi, my name is Dean. Are you looking for the elevator?'' The young man asked you.
''How did you know what I was looking for? Sorry I'm new.'' You replied before letting out a breathy chuckle.
''Don't worry, I heard.'' The young man laughed. The man had dirty blonde rough hair, deep blue eyes and the most perfect smile. Wow, this man looked majestic.
''You must go to where you need to be, don't want to keep you away too long. See you around, Y/n.'' He winked at you before leaving me there speechless.
Dean. For sure I'll see you around allot.
You nodded and thanked him after showing you where you had to go.
...
After getting to room 4, you took in a deep breath. Damn it, the supervisor has already started explaining.
You entered the room and everyone's eyes were on you. It felt like your heart dropped into your stomach, thumping like crazy and your mouth going dry as the supervisor turned around, pausing.
''Mrs. Garcia. To what reason couldn't you be here on time?'' The supervisor asked you, taking a seat on his desk. This man. This man was undeniably attractive to the point you couldn't handle him holding eye-contact with you. The supervisor was a tall, quite muscular man. He had dark brown curly hair with an undercut, dark brown eyes- Y/n don't even try and look at his rings.
''Whatever it is, go take a seat next to Alinea.'' The woman next to him hastily interrupted him. Thank god I don't have to be the center of attention right now.
