Detention!!

Small fluffy clouds floats in the deep blue sky. The weather is fine today and nightangel sings, a good omen for me. I wore the outfit Beth asked me to. I won't say I'm looking beautiful, but I'm looking better than my usual self.

School campus is brimmed with life unlike yesterday's dead silence. Today I feel my class is miles away, maybe because I'm nervous. I'm terrified. I've never had a crush before, so everything I feel, I feel it for the first time. I've read romance novels and seen romance in movies, but everything is perfect there. You know with whom the protagonist is gonna end up with. Everything is destined. In real life you're on your own. Nothing fall into place the way you want it, and that's scary. I don't even know how I'll handle Drew's rejection. Or will he accept me? Does these things happen in real life? I guess I'll find out everything sooner or later.

I enter in the class and my eyes spot Drew immediately. Sitting by the window throwing his head back laughing like an innocent child. His face shines as a moon and lips pink as a evening sky. He laughs as if don't know what sadness is, as if he never even heard of it. I wish I could capture this moment, never let it go away.

And the moment goes away in seconds as I spot Josh, he is the one making him laugh. What does that fat-head said to him. I need to check.

I walk to my place and sit quietly trying to get a word of their conversation. Josh covers is eyes as he sees me and yell "Walk away moron you're looking even uglier today, it hurts my eyes."

"One asked your opinion lunatic" I say

"Bleh!" he say "even the ugliest drawing can't potray you today"

"I bet yours can, they are the absolute definition hideous, just like you are the definition of stupidity"

I think I did it. I tried his patience. He is red with anger. He stand and slams his hand on the table and lean on to me looking at me right in the eyes. "Don't try me, or the consequences are not going to be good" he says, more like whispers in anger.

Shivers run down my spine and heart races. I hate to admit it but he has managed to scare me.

"What can you do lunatic, as you're the most incapable boy I've ever seen" I say and gather my self to fight. I can't just let him walk all over me. And, honestly there's nothing much he can really do to me and, if he has decided to go down to the dirty road I can go down there too.

He sits back to his seat heavily and raise his eyebrows and say "Well, if you want to know so baldy I'll show you very soon and you're gonna be very sorry"

"I'm sorry, that your brain hasn't evolved yet. It's just like a monkey. Even monkeys have evolved now"

"At lest I'm not ugly and inconsequential as you. You're like a worm."

"You guys stop with whatever it is, I'm trying to teach here." says Mrs Johnson. A pale heavy lady with broad shoulders and manly voice. The most strict teacher of our school. I remember when I was little I used hide behind my mother whenever she walked past us.

"I'm sorry Miss Johnson" I say quitly and pretend to focus on my book that I have not even opened yet. I don't even remember when she entered the class. Mrs Johnson resume her lesson of geometry, I open my book and try to catch up with the her.

"Look idiot I'd have been in trouble because of you" says Josh frowning

"Because of me? it's all because you and your empty head" I say

"shut up, worm"

"you shut up, filthy pig"

"you shut up, detestable donkey"

Detestable donkey? you're a disdainful moth. you're as ugly as sheep's butt

"you're even uglier than a blob fish" he say and I see Mrs johnson coming to us with the corner of an eye.

"I've had enough of both of you" she says "you insolent kids. I've already warned you but both of you turned your deaf ear towards me."

She stabs a papers at our desk and say "after school detention for both of you"

I try to say something but words jumble in my throat. I realize it's not worth it. Mrs Johnson's decision is as rigid as her body.

It's all because of Josh. I want to give him a tight slap but any of my action would only create more trouble for me. So, I sit quietly till the end of the school then just watch everyone leave. I can't believe I have to stay for two more hours because of this moron. I've never got a detention my whole life.
