“Are you seriously gonna reject my cuddle because of that petty reason? Come over here,” Jimin said with determination in his voice with one arm open for the other to come into as he grabbed the boy’s chin to lift his head up and turned around to grab tissues from the tray with his free hand.

“Blow,” Jimin demanded, only to get a loose response of the other shaking their head and Jimin has to use sheer force to make the other blow into the tissues.

Luckily it wasn’t a big mess as Jimin quickly wrapped the tissue up and tossed it aside on the tray before reaching over once again for a certain item.

“Ah.” Jimin simply says as if he was asking a 5-year-old to open their mouth for candy, though in fact, he did have a candy-like thing for Jungkook.

Jungkook looked up to see the oh so familiar item. A cough drop. Unwrapped by Jimin so that Jungkook could see the blue color of it to be sure that it is the menthol flavor the older had always bought. Jungkook knew this habit about Jimin, even if cough drops are meant for medical use, his hyung always liked to suck on them as normal candy like kids which always came in handy when someone has sore throats and he has endless stocks of cough drop to offer.

Jungkook didn’t refuse this time as he opened his still slightly chapped dried lips for Jimin to pop the little treat in easily and Jungkook quickly closes his mouth to suck on it as he waits for the cough drop to take effect and help him get rid of some bad breathes of being dehydrated for so long.

“Move over,” In came Jimin’s voice that had Jungkook looking up in surprise again. “Don’t take up all the space, I wanna cuddle.” Jimin gives Jungkook a look and Jungkook slowly backs into the wall the was up against his bed even more for Jimin to slide in.

“Can I be the big spoon this time?” Jimin asks with lit up eyes at the nonresponding Jungkook.

Jungkook stares at him for a while before shaking his head and just as Jimin’s about to protest Jungkook leaps over with the small strength he has to throw his arms around Jimin and pulls him down to the warm mattress surface.

“Hyung’s height will make it uncomfy,” Jungkook says all of a sudden besides Jimin’s ear, sucking on his cough drop then continues. “So no.”

Jungkook expects Jimin to throw a tantrum but the elder only tried to scooch closer in on Jungkook’s body heat. With Jungkook’s arm that wrapped around him which met at his waist point, Jimin places his own hands atop of it and squeezes a bit before letting it sit there firmly.

“Just for today, I’m spoiling you.” Jimin’s soft whisper was heard and Jungkook could finally feel himself smile in a what felt like forever time period. His hyung’s words were funny and cute, it was so obvious how much effort the other put in to please him, to please all the others around him. Jungkook suddenly felt tears pricking out from the corner of his eyes again as he thought of things that he felt like he didn’t deserve. He buries his own head into Jimin’s shoulder as few hot drops of tear slips again.

Jimin didn’t say anything and nor did he tease, only rubbed the younger’s hand with his fingers in a circle over and over. The other free hand of his clenched on tight as if telling him that he’s here for him, he’ll always be here for him. He shouldn’t be afraid. They both shouldn’t. They’ve always been there for each other, through rough and thin. Just sometimes, reassurances are needed. They felt so lucky to have each other. So so lucky, but what did lucky really meant to them? Was it a coincidence that they met or was it a thing called faith? What if the two never met? What if the two was never in good terms?

There were so many questions to be asked in this life. But maybe, some questions are better left unknown. For all they understand is that it’s better to focus on now. The current time, hold tight onto it and be happy. What had happened already happened, making through every tough moment of life was a lesson and learn to everyone. There’s no way to have a smooth life all around, or else everything would just be too boring. A colorless life. So let’s focus on today.
