Chapter 3 - "Break Through"

"What is your name, and how old are you?" ask Sarah to Erly handing her a towel

"I'm Charlene Xie, and I'm 18 years old." said Erly to Sarah made up another fake identity

"18 years old, you are still very young?" said Sarah shocked a little

Erly lied that she is 18 years old, she was born in May 1920 and is now 23 years old, but for the sake of her secret identity she changed it.

"Okay there are some rules you have to obey, first I am the housekeeper, Sarah Yu, and second all of these rooms are accessible except the master's room." explain Sarah to Erly

"All servants have to wake up at 4am every morning, and go to bed at 10pm, so no one is allowed to wander around after that time no matter what happens, do you understand?" ask Sarah to Erly with a strict look

"Yes, sis!" reply Erly with a smile

After that, she, and Sarah went around the mansion, and she was told which rooms were which. after walking around for a while, she was finally led to the living room to introduce herself.

There she saw Alex who was chatting with his family, panicking because she was afraid she would be caught for her false identity, but suddenly Alex stood up and went upstairs.

In the middle of the stairs Alex suddenly stopped and called out to her. panicking, she faced the wall and saw the family portrait.

"Excuse me, tomorrow, don't forget to take the necklace that I told you this morning, Thank you." said Alex to Erly go upstairs to his room

"Yes, young master!" reply Erly facing the wall pretend to organize the family picture frame

Alex's face looked disappointed and tired, but she was grateful that Alex didn't see her face.

"Good evening sir, madam, young master and young lady." greet Erly walking towards them looking nervous

"Who is she, Father?" ask Cassy sitting in the sofa while sipping her cup of tea

"Introduce yourself, we've heard about you from the housekeeper." said Ryan to Erly

"My name is Charlene Xie, I am now 18 years old, I am came from village Z and I went to the city to look for work." said Erly trembling

"Nice name, but do you really want to work here?" ask a young guy, with a neat suit sitting next to Cassy left while looking at her, Max Tang

"Of course, I'm very grateful that you want to hire me." reply Erly with a nervous smile

"Hey, but remember, if you want to work here, you have to be careful, just be careful." said a young boy sitting next to Cassy right, Michael Tang

"Of course I will be careful." reply Erly to Michael with another nervous smile

"You certainly look 18, but who knows what you're capable of, good luck with your work." said a high class dressed woman sitting next to Ryan, Juliet Lie

Erly realizes that she has grown up with everything being done by servants, but that doesn't mean she can't do what servants have always done.

"Just basic skills of course I will be able to do it." muttered Erly to herself while smiling to the whole cold looking family

The next morning, counted as the first day of work, and the first day of successfully becoming an intruder, she woke up at 4 o'clock according to the rules and did all her work starting from preparing breakfast.

"Okay, over here, this is finished, please set it on the table now, they will wake up soon." said a servant to another servants

"Hey you new one what's your name come here quickly and help me get this." shouted a servant towards Erly

Shocked, she immediately went there and helped.

"What's your name, this is the first time I've seen you, are you new?" ask the servant to her

"Yes my name is Charlene Xie, I just started working here last night, nice to meet you sis." greet Erly to the servant that she didn't know yet

"I'm Mary Wu." said Mary to Erly with a warm smile

"Hey guys, hurry up, don't talk too much, Soon, sir and madam, they will wake up soon!" said Sarah to them

After finishing breakfast, it is now 7 am where everyone is doing the task of cleaning the house, Erly is on the second floor, and cleaning the stair railings.

While cleaning the stair railings, she accidentally overheard Cassy and Juliet's conversation.

"Erly Duo, I'm curious about her, I've never seen her face before." said a voice sounds like Cassy

"Does she have to be this secretive until we don't know what her face looks like, we also don't even get any info what she did?" said Cassy to Juliet looking curious

"Why do you suddenly ask about Erly Duo?" ask Juliet to Cassy

"No, I just suddenly remembered that Brother Alex will meet her in 3 months." reply Cassy

"Wait, Erly Duo, that's my name, and they were talking about Alex, so Alex is my fiancé, and they are my fiancé family?" muttered Erly inwardly in shock and stopped wiping the railings

"I'm going to the city center to meet Sissy." said Cassy to Juliet

"Tell her I'll visit sometime when I have time." said Juliet to Cassy with a smile then walk away
