Bye bye stupid town

Mikayla's POV

“Mikayla”, my mother called.

“ I coming mama", I said, while running down the small path.

My mother, Eleanor, and I were supposed to go to town to get some food supplies. The winter this time left no room for vegetation so we needed to stock up on food before the blizzard hit...oh how much I hate this place.

“ Mama, can't we just leave this place, can't we just cross the border and go off into the next kingdom" , I asked.

My mother just stared at me like I had lost my mind. my mother always wanted us to stay here, like there was something holding her back. And it got on my nerves because it was holding me back from a life I could possibly have.

“ Mikayla, don't you dare ask a question you already know the answer too", my mother said and continued walking.

“ Good afternoon, Ms Eleanor, fancy seeing you here”, Mr Rigby, the tax collector said slyly .

Mr Rigby always had feelings for my mother, it was sickening. Whenever I tried to tell my mom about it, she would just play it off as some friendly feelings towards an acquaintance.

But there's nothing friendly about his lustful gaze.

“ Ms Eleanor, may I have a word with you?", Mr Rigby asked.

" Sure, why not", my mother replied.

Why do I have a bad feeling about this…

Mr Rigby's POV

Eleanor… the woman of my dreams. Her smooth mocha skin that looks tastier than butter scotch. Her big brown eyes that can make a chipmunk swoon. I need her, I want her, I will have her... and that's why I lured here, away from her pesky daughter.

“ Eleanor, I have noticed that you are not seen with any …male companions of any type", I said.

" What do you mean by ' male companions ', Mr Rigby? ", she asked, confused.

" Please, call me Jack, and what I meant to say was, aren't you lonely Eleanor. We could be the best of friends...and maybe more than that", I said suggestively.

Confusion and uncertainty showed on her face. She looked quite cute to me. But I was getting impatient.

" I think I should go, Mikayla must be wondering what has happened to me", she said, trying to get away.

" What do you mean? I think she can take care of herself and there's no need to hurry, it's not like I have done anything wrong", I said while trying to catch her arm.

But then she shoved me…nobody has ever shoved…not even my own parents. I need to teach this b**** a lesson... she needs to know who is the boss here.

But before I could react Eleanor started running, and she was a really fast runner. It was hard to catch up because of the hefty meal I just had. (a/n he is just fat af )

Eleanor's POV

I should have listened to Mikayla, but I didn't think it would end up like this. I am trying to run as fast as I can but this dress is getting in the way, if only I had my rider pants.

" Eleanor, come back, I just want to talk, I won't hurt yah", she heard Mr Rigby say.

I need to get to Mikayla quick, but I don't know if I can make it.

As Eleanor continued to run, she just so happen to trip, and ended up hitting her head.…

Third person's POV

The town was in a frenzy. The local doctor was currently trying to save a life of a woman that had a concussion.… and that woman was Eleanor.

According to Mr Rigby, he had found her passed out on a excluded path. She was currently in critical condition and Mikayla was freaking out.

" I don't know if she will make it, you don't even have enough money to take her to the next town to go and get better treatment, but if you could arrange some money, we can get her to the next town to receive treatment before it's too late ", the doctor said solemnly.

" I will do something about it but please, help my mother ", Mikayla said and bolted off.

Mikayla's POV

I don't know where to get the money. My savings from my job could only help half way and I need the money fast. The only person I know that might help is the person I want to avoid but I have to ask him for help … I have to ask Mr Rigby.

" Mr Rigby, I need your help", I pleaded.

Mr Rigby was acting weirder than usual and was reluctant to give me any help. He then looked at me all funny. Did I have something on my face, I thought.

" I will only help you and you mother, if you convince your mother to date me", he said.

I was flabbergasted. I knew he was into my mother but not to this weird extent. I couldn't just accept it so willy nilly, therefore, I tried to think it over. I went back to see the doctor. He said that my mom was stable but still in critical condition.

I decided to accept Mr Rigby's condition.

I arrived at Mr Rigby's place. I tried to knock on his door, but I heard his voice come from the backyard. I then decided to go over to him but I was stopped dead in my tracks when I over heard his conversation.

" I can't let anyone find out about what I did to Eleanor, Fred", Mr Rigby said to his friend.

" But it was an accident, no jiffy", Fred said to comfort him.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. All I knew was that I couldn't accept this man's offer.

I had to get my mom away from him, from this place but she also needed treatment.

But before I could live, I accidentally kicked into a pot and that caught the attention of the two men.

They looked over, and I bolted. I ran like a mad dog but I was technically going mad. The pressure is on and I need to get outta here.

I reached the doctor's place to get my mom. The doctor didn't want me to do it but I just got her and put her in my wooden carriage and went home to get our stuff.

But I just so happened to meet Jennifer, Mr Rigby's daughter. She wanted to poke her nose into my business but I just shoved to the side, which resulted her into scraping her knee.

I went inside and grabbed all the stuff I could and left to go to the next town with my mother lying unconscious in the carriage.
