My first day

I have been in training for a little over a year now and the person who took me in thinks I'm ready for my first mission, it's my first time out on the field I can't wait.

The person who took me in is also my boss, many are scared of her, but for me, I look up to her.

I'm gonna have my first mission with a group, one the leader and three in all.

I'm one of the three, the leader is always the one who knows how it all works and since I'm new, I need to work myself up to get that role, and that's what I'm gonna do, it's just the first step of my goal, I have bigger plans and I will work hard to get to them.

It's here around twenty minutes, I need to get geared up for my mission, I'm really happy it finally has got to this point.

After fifty minutes I have geared all up and I'm at the location I'm supposed to be, with the group I'm assigned to.

Our leader has just explained the plan, it's just a twenty-four-hour shift because there are a lot of things going on, so extra people need to guard the mansion.

I'm trying not to look too happy, but even though this is a small thing in many people's eyes I have waited for an opportunity like this and this is my chance to prove myself, even if it's just keeping an eye out, it's still important because without us our boss would be at risk of losing everything and get caught.

We protect her, even though she can protect herself, we are just extra, but extra is good.

The leader of the group I'm assigned to, has been staring at me for at least five minutes and finally walked over to me.

"Can you at least try to take this seriously?" she asked.

I answered, "I am taking this serious, I'm just really happy".

"Well try to look serious and keep your emotions inside, it's important to be focused and awake at these kinds of missions" she said.

I said, "I will try my best".

"Good" She said while walking back to her position.

Not gonna lie, she kinda scares me, because first of all I don't know much more than her name and she knows things about me that only a handful of people know because my boss gives details to every leader, so they know what to look out for (for reasons) and second, she is a killer who has no mercy for her victims.

They deserve it though, she never kills for no reason, but still.

I fully trust her though because if my boss trusts her, I do too.

I looked at the time of my watch, it has been ten hours already, I look around to see how everyone is holding on, only our leader and I are the ones fully awake, the others are getting tired, but I won't let myself get tired too, after all my training I'm not gonna show weakness, not again not like then.

I'm stronger and older now not 10 years old, I can do this.

(I got my watch from my boss, it was my 19 birthday present and I have worn it since.

It's a silver watch with leather that comes around the wrist and a very warm light brown color in the watch center.

The watch has three different patterns, one for the watch itself with only twelve hours, and at the mid-bottom, there is a picture of either a night sky or daylight, it depends on if it's day or night, and on top-mid is a twenty-four-hour countdown timer.

It has three bottoms, one to start and stop the countdown, one to press after you have set the things on it and the last one is the one in the middle, it is the one to set it all to the right things.

It's not a bottom though, it's just a thing to rotate back and forth to set it to the right time or the right number to countdown from, I love it, it has everything I need, and it has only died once, luckily I have a lot of batteries to save it).

I hear something from not long away, it's footsteps, but it was a wrong pattern, non of us nor our boss is the one there could be over there, I think it's an intruder, I look over to where our leader stands, she hears it too, she signed to follow her.

The others were fallen asleep I looked at her and she signed just to follow and don't make any sudden sounds, so I didn't tell them what happened, I followed her orders and we followed the sound it was more than one, we kept following and there they were.
