Twenty Questions

He's not bad. He took me to an elegant classy restaurant. He's quite a gentleman!

He pulls a chair out for me like gentleman. "What do you want to order?"

"Anything is fine. I'm not a picky eater." I replied.

He then gives the order to the waiter. While we wait, he starts a conversation.

"Do you want to play twenty questions until our food comes?"

I should know more about him.

"Yes, I'll start.

Do you have any allergies?"

"I'm allergic to peanuts and dogs.

What about you?"

"I don't have any allergies.

Tell me more about your family members."

"My grandparents love me a lot. Infact more than my brother. They might try to play tricks on you to know if you are good for me I not. That's one of the reasons I picked you because I know you will pass. I have an older brother who is married for 3 months. He's probably on his honeymoon and may return soon. It is lovely marriage. Sister-in-law is sweet as well. My parents are okay I guess. When I was little they didn't spend a lot of time with me. They might be strict on you because they already chose another girl for me. The girl is Bella Fransisco. She's my childhood friend. Infact she proposed to me many times, but I rejected because I don't like her. Now she is trying to make our marriage into a business proposal, which benefits both our companies.

What about you?"

I can sense some loneliness in his voice. I am lonely as well. I know Cavin is my friend but I told him to only give him a chance. We only act as friends. Damon makes me feel happy. I think I am falling for him. Even though I got betrayal in the past, I think he will keep me happy😊.

He snapped his fingers. " Are you I La La Land again? Why are you always dreaming?"

"My parents are no more. I don't want to talk about that." I said with a cold voice.

"what about how many boyfriend's you had?"

"I don't want to talk about that either."

Thankfully our lunch came. Afterwards we ate quietly. I felt sorry for talking to him rudely but I was not in the mood at that time.

Something is off about her parents and boyfriend. I think somehow both are connected to an incident she might had in the past. I need to investigate this.

After we finished eating she said, "thanks for treating me Mr Kingston."

"No problem. But you should call me David now Ms Catherine."

"Ok D-David"

I stuttered as I called his name. And I left.

The week passed by quickly but both Catherine and David didn't keep in contact.

Catherine called David as the party is tomorrow .

"Hi Cath. What's up?"

"Hi David I'm fine. Don't forget about the party tomorrow. Also pick me up and then we can go together."

"Ok send me your address. Also what color dress are you wearing tomorrow?"

" It's black."

"K bye. Love you!"
