Episode 2: A litte thing that matter

After some time, He felt asleep on my lap but i need to move so made him to let himself to sleep on the couch. He sounded like he got into deep sleep though. I think it’s just because he was tired. Doing both as an actor and as an Athlete aren’t easy as it looks. Though, he decide to work on both his choice to fulfill his life. Sigh, while i’m here just continue my studies and my income remain rely upon father. I guess i need to start myself to gain some own expenses then.

By the way, he also mentioned that he didn’t know that he had some same exact stone or whatever that is. The one i found it from the bag. It’s odd but remaik suspicious. Should i bring to the bag expert? I mean, it’s no that necessary to look after. My curiosity sometimes handle me that much. Seriously. another day, another call of mysterious. How enigma my life is.

With under minutes later, phone call breaks the silent. I quickly manage to get my phone and answer the call as it is.

“Hello?” I didn’t even notice the caller in first place.

”Hello, Is this the number of Mr. Oh?”

“Right, I’m speaking as myself. How may i help you?”

”Glad to hear. Before i deliver some news to you, let me briefly introduce myself.” I make a second pause to see my screen first. It didn’t show any contact’s name so it could be someone that i haven’t seen yet.

“I’m Park Hyun-Juk from TA Company.” Wait, TA Company? Isn’t that Jun-Young’s agency? Why they would call me instead?

”Ah, yes! Nice to meet you.”

”we’re currently working on a progress that called background checking. Would mind to come to our company to discuss further details and information?” This strangely sounds suspicious. I mean, it’s been more than just years since Jun-Young joined the company. And they should have had check his background. Why would they come to see it repeatedly? Oddly enough to stay on my ground

“Eh? Background? Is there any reason or relation that particularly in me?”

”I assume, yes. Due to your experience and data. That you and Mr. Kang been friends for years. So, we would like to have you to double check the background.” To be honest, this is already count as violating artist’s privacy. Of course, i know there’s might be a good reason behind of it. But at some point, it is not. Checking out to double cross check within a years gap, is obviously not going on the right road. If they want to make sure their artists are save, they should have intense on quality control in the first place. Not being for after years.

“It’s much appreciated to work together. But unfortunately, my time is not available until then.”

”how about we arrange some appoint instead? So we could have dates from far away.”

”Either way, i couldn’t even promise that i may bring myself to get through.”

”So, which means, Mr. Kang has something to hide from the company?” What?! How they assume that he would do that?! How dare them to say such thing! Is that how they treated their artist? How unacceptable!

“I’m sorry. But, Mr. Kang has been always in good shape. He could never do such a obnoxious thing to people or even fans. He’s more than that. He care, he absolutely loves his fans. And I believe, it is not okay to say that your artist is hiding something from company itself. It sounds offended. So, i hope you’re aware of what you’re saying next time.” With my wholehearted, i defend my childhood friend without any hesitation. None able to badmouth my friend jnless they able to get me first. If they do want to spill out Jun-Young’s dark side, then prove it to my both eyes.

“We understand your concern and awareness. But, we here to play as professionalism role and responsible for the public. As well as Mr. Kang is public figure.”

”I also do understand your point of what company wants to confirm. Nonetheless, there are plenty good ways to figure it out and leaving those offensive lines from taging along to seek out the truth. And you can’t judge by one at a time. I may not know what the real deal is, but, hearing that my dear friend is on edge. It’s unacceptable.” I ended the phone call as i throw it to the bed. I couldn’t be more upset after those contact. I swear, they really want to dig up something that it doesn’t have to be. How childish.

Probably minutes that i take to calm myself down, finally got chance to get back to the living room. I hope he doesn’t woke up and hear the rest of the conversation. Well, i think it’s alright. But, it could be a trouble too for him. I don’t want to burden him likewise, i just want to help him a bit. But why do i feel like I’m not? Sigh. This stressful.

When i head back to the living room, Jung-Young wasn’t there anymore. So i try to look over him until he appear from nowhere from behind. I’m a bit startled and found that he was frowned and gloomed. What’s wrong anyway?

“Jun-Young? What happen? You scared me a bit though.” He just stand there.

”Jun-Young? Are you okay? Why are you this quiet?” This guy suddenly went cold. Is he really okay? He looks uncom—

“Thank you.” He immediately hug me under a secone. He even cuts out my line before i finish. He embrace me without hesitation. I could feel his warmth. I know his bigger than me, so it’s like i’m being engulf. But, in other way round, why he turning like this in sudden? He never hug me since we are in junior high school. It remind me back in days but yes back at it again. What’s wrong with him?

“I never had someone that chose over me, defend me, or even stand up for my sake.” Ah, right. I guess, he listened to every word i said on phone. Now I realize.

“I thought. . . I was alone. None would ever lend me a hand. Or even comfort me when things comes like this.” He continue sulking while renting his heart off.

“Never in my life, to feel how incredible i am. Someone who appreciats my hard work. And somehow who tell me that i’m human. It feels like. . . A dream” he still embrace me even tighter than i expect. I could die from this tightness.

“Thank you, for your light. Perhaps, this is my first time seeing you presumptuous.” He slowly get himself back as he continue to looks at me. He smiles in following. And he reach my both hands gently.

“I know, money isn’t everything. But, i want you to know that. You’re also have my back. Just let me know anything you need.” My eyes wider as he approaches with such ease promises to my mind. Like, someone just touch my heart. I lost my myself in his glare. Even we become close and closer. We didn’t even know, we both are on the same boat.
