Hearing the noise from a far, Vinter determined that the people or more like knights and soldiers are still out searching for the 'murderer'.

Him?

Yes.. he killed someone.. or more like he killed his family.

Laughing with no noise, Vinter closed his eyes while he pondered over what type of method he will be tortured and killed, humiliated or what, anyways.. he's become numb to it.

If possible, he will stab himself right here right now.. but he didn't, why?

Because of a smile and sincere gaze he wants to see again.

Just before he committed the crime of killing nobles, specially the whole family of Marquis and the man himself, he saw a man. A man with pairs of dark orbs, dangerous aura, but familiar smile. Vinter knew then, it was him.

Until now, he's waiting, he's waiting for the boy.. man to come and show him the same smile, the same sincere gaze and relaxing aura.

He's not stupid to know who that man is.

Aside from the Villainous him, there is still another man hated by the whole Empire.. more like the whole world.

How did he know? Because wanted posters of him are all around the words, fearing the man might be living lowkey in some places hidden from people. Back then Vinter didn't placed interest to the man, but when he saw him that time.. how relieved was he then.

Vinter let go of the dagger in his hand and sighed heavily as he clutched the cloth covering his left chest.

He wants to pierce the blade until his back and leave this miserable world forever, he wants to rest that'll last forever, a rest no one but he yearns all his life.

Just when he decided to pick up the dagger again, he heard a movement, next all Vinter knew was he's being pinned down.

Opening his eyes and showing the pale gold pair of orbs with no signs of life, Vinter saw a pair of dark orbs staring intently at him. By then, his eyes showed ripples of emotions, his eyes widened and his body stiffened.

Just when he's about to call the man, he heard shouts accompanied by clanging sounds that came from metals, as well as the sound of galloping horses.

"The Villain is on the cave!"

"Hurry catch him!"

" Kill the devil! "

" Traitor! "

" Heretic! "

"Kill him!"

Amidst the screams of thirst to catch and kill Vinter, he clearly heard the sound of his fast beating heart. This was exactly it, the sound that made him feel alive for the first time when he's still a boy.

Vinter watched the arc of the man's seductive lips as he heard a deep and manly voice right beside his ears.

"Shall we go?"

Pulled, Vinter allowed the man to pull and embrace him before he felt the wind hitting his face as the man jumped high, he heard a flapping sound, looking behind ,Vinter saw a pair of bat like wings flapping on the man's back.

"Are my wings interesting?"

Staring at the eyes that clearly shows interest and happiness, Vinter realized that they're flying and not just suspended in air because of a jump.

Hugging the neck of the man and leaning his head on the man's chest, they both watched the view of the forest below, as well as the torches carried by the knights hunting Vinter.

As Vinter Closed his eyes, he hummed.
