It’s cold. I never knew a river was this... deep. Drowning in a river is such a lonely death. The emptiness and coldness surrounding me reminded me of the isolation I experienced in my whole life as I slowly run out of oxygen.

As I fall deeper into the river, memories begin to flood my mind. Grandma, sorry I wasn’t able to save you. Haru, I hope you find someone who will truly love you...

Hmm? What is that familiar sound? And this familiar scent of curry. Why does it feel so nostalgic? So nostalgic that I feel like tears are gonna burst. That’s right! It’s the scent of Grandma’s curry!

The sounds of the chopping board woke me up, as the nostalgic scent of the curry made me sit up in excitement, taking me away from the bed.

Without a doubt, it’s grandma! I can finally meet grandma again! Bursting out of the room with tears in my eyes, I hurriedly hug my grandma.

“Grandma! I can finally meet you!” I exclaimed.

“What happened? Did you have a nightmare? You are going to be late for school.” Grandma asked with such a warm and gentle voice.

Wait.. School?

I took a look around. It was the familiar house with the familiar morning days I had when grandma and I were still living together. I didn’t notice since I was focused on Grandma.

Why am I here? Shouldn’t I be in heaven? When I saw myself in the mirror, I was flustered. Slowly walking towards the mirror, as I reach out my hand I saw myself looking like when I was 14 years old.

Just what is happening?

“Grandma... What year is it now?” I asked with a trembling voice.

“What’s with this suddenly? It’s 2012!”

2012... I really did went back on time. My last wish... came true? I’m back when I was 14 years old.

I really... traveled through time!
