Chapter 2

Standing still on the other side of the road, afront the school building, I was reluctant to go to school. Going to school means facing Sora yet again. Will I be able to face him properly, bearing my regrets and grudge towards him?

But I have decided, to change my fate. To not relive my sorrowful life, to survive and to save my Grandma’s life. I have made my resolve.

Clenching my fist, I muster up my courage and crossed the road, then entering the school building.

I went to my classroom and went to my seat. It’s a relief I have a good memory.

Looking around, I see familiar faces. One of them is Rika, the love of Sora and the one who accused me as the cause of her miscarriage before I time traveled. Seeing her once again, I felt deeper grudge and stronger rage. She was the last person I wanted to see.

Then the next person I see is Haru, my most trusted friend. He was the one who discovered and reported my Grandma’s death to me after he came back from another country before I time traveled. He actually has... feelings for me. Yet I rejected him. He took a glance at me which made me flinch, as he wave at me. Then I waved back.

30 minutes later, the first lesson of the day is starting yet Sora isn’t here yet. I wonder if he took a sick leave? I hope so.

In the middle of a lesson I started having a throbbing pain in my head, and felt dizziness. This sucks. Might as well as go to the clinic since I don’t really feel like reliving the lessons I already took.

I asked the teacher to let me go to the clinic, and he permitted me so.

Inside the clinic, the nurse isn’t around. I went straight to where the beds are. As expected, the clinic is one of the best spots in the school. The breeze that strikes by the open window and the view of the trees and flowers really gives the relaxing feeling.

The moment I opened the curtain by the bed, my eyes widened, surprised of what I see in front of me... Yes, it was a sleeping Sora.

How strange. If it was my past self, I would’ve panicked and blushed like a teenage girl in love, enjoying the sight. But now... I feel nothing. To me, he is not the prince charming I dream of anymore, he’s just another guy to me.

As I was staring at his face, his eyes suddenly opened.

“Stared enough?” he said with his usual cold voice.

“Don’t get the wrong idea.” short and simple words, I said to him with a cold voice. The next thing I see was his shocked expression, as if he didn’t see it coming.

He chuckled as he sat up then said, “What’s with the change of attitude? Trying to play hard-to-get as your next tactic? You know very well it won’t work on me.”

“Huh? Please don’t be such a narcissist. Do you really think I’m still crazy in love for you? Then let me tell you, I’m done fawning over you, and to my eyes, you’re just a worthless piece of shit,” with such cold eyes, I said. His reaction was priceless. He was even shocked than before, well it was to be expected. The girl following him around just until yesterday suddenly didn’t care about hin the next day.

I turned my back on him, walking out of the clinic.
