Oh, I love her internal conflict here! It shows FL character as more complex, then one might initially think after reading about her troubles. She isn’t a good person becase she’s too naïve to recognize evils, she is a good person because she choses to do the right thing despite temptations and her (completely understandable) hurts.
I wonder, if she manages to save the shop owner or not. He was really rude to her earlier, but you’ve chose the imagery, that looks rather kind to depict him. There might be some good within his heart still and he’d help FL to survive somehow in return.
