Separate Ways

“Hm. What is this place? Am I dead? Did I failed to save the world?” as those thoughts keep questioning in Haden’s brain. “Wake up brother!” shouted Heden. His brother, Haden finally woke up and asked, “Where are we?” “We’re in a hospital. We fought the bandits remember?” asked Heden. Haden was confused because his memories about what happened last time were still blurry and unclear. “Where’s Goliath?” as Haden asked with concern. “Oh, he’s recovered and are back in his shop.” answered Heden. The conversation continues on and on until they came up with an idea to go on a new journey and leave Tradesburg. They need to know more about the world and understand it in order to save it. Then, they both walked to Goliath’s shop and told him that they are leaving. Goliath with bandages covered around his body said, “Good. Now that I think you are ready, I’ll give you some supplies to help you on your journey. Here are your spear and katana. Wait for me at the entrance of the town.” Haden and Heden then took their weapon and got to the entrance then waited patiently for Goliath. “Here, these are two horses with some supplies for the both of ya.” said Goliath. Haden picked the shining white horse and named it “Snow” while Heden picked the black horse with orange eyes and named it “Elytra”.

“Have a safe journey and remember to visit me sometime!” shouted Goliath to Haden and Heden as they were leaving Tradesburg. “Will do!” answered both of them. As the twin brothers slowly became smaller and smaller into the distance, Goliath can’t help but cried as he remembers the time when they’re still kids and playing around while training. Haden and Heden were like a son to Goliath. And so, Goliath went back to his normal everyday job as a blacksmith crafting weapons and armour while the twin brothers are going on a new journey. On their way to an unknown destination, they plucked out some herbs and medical plants to hope that it could be exchange for some money. Luckily, they came across a wandering trader with two camels. “Hey, we would like to trade these herbs and medical plants for some money.” asked Heden. “Oh for sure! These are rare and are hard to find in the wild.” answered the trader. Haden and Heden got their money and continued on their journey. After a couple days of their search, they arrived at a burnt down village. The village was empty, burnt and robbed. “It must be those bandits again.” said Heden. Then, they heard a crying noise. They both rush towards the crying and found a silver haired girl crying while sitting infront of a house. The girl seems to be around the same age as them.

“Are you okay? What happened?” asked Haden. “The bandits, they destroyed the town and slaughtered everyone who stand againts their path. My parents were one of the few to fight them off. I told my parents to run but they insist on fighting off the bandits. Then....” said by her as more tears starts tearing down her eyes. At that moment in time, Haden and Heden were aware of the situation. Her parents died fighting for the sake of the village. Rage starts to run within the twin brother’s blood again. With this situation keeps going on and on, the twin brothers came to a conclusion. They’re going their separate ways on their journey to help and prevent more villages from this tragedy. “Hey, what’s your name?” asked Haden to the girl. “My name’s Ofaelia.” answered the girl. “We’re now going on a separate journey for the same reason, to protect more villages from this tragedy from happening. Would you care to join one of us and help prevent such an event from happening?” asked Haden. “I think she should join me.” said Heden. “What? No, she should join me.” said back Haden. While they argue, Ofaelia just sat there and watch them argue when she suddenly laughed and smiled. Haden and Heden were surprised because it’s the first time they’ve seen her smile. Her smile was so angelic that even both brothers starts blushing while looking at her. “So? Whats your decision? Would you join me, the one with the silent katana, or my stupid brother with a lizard head spear?” asked Heden. “Hey! It’s not a lizard! It’s a dragon!” said Haden. Ofaelia then smiled and said, “I think I’ll go with the lizards spear.” “Like I said, it’s a dragons spear.” replied Haden. As disappointed as Heden was, he have to accept the fact that he wasn’t chosen by Ofaelia. “You! Take good care of her, if you let her die, I’ll come back for your head.” as Heden gave his brother, Haden a pep talk. “Don’t worry brother, I’m not as clumsy as you are.” replied Haden. Then, the twin brothers hugged and said their goodbyes before setting on their separate ways. “Don’t you dare die on me.” said Haden. “Back to you brother.” said Heden. As both of their shadows are slowly disappearing into the horizon, Haden with Ofaelia and Heden went out on their separate journey.
